CANADA DAY Posbang!
One of the few occassions I will proudly wear red! (others during Olympics and World Jr. tournament)
Happy Canada Day to all the Michigan fans up north, enjoy the holiday!
Wiggins, Bennett, Tristan and Powell all Canucks.
To our friends to the north (or indeed to the south if you happen to be in Detroit), have a most excellent 147th anniversary of the Constitution Act (as it has been known in more recent times), which I believe joined the colonies into their current federal dominion and basically set the structure for the government. Momentous act in Canadian history indeed.
Alanis. Shania. Celine. Avril.
If anything... they know how to "One-Name" a pop star. We only have Cher and Modonna.
Beyonce.
Also, who calls Celine Dion just Celine?
I assume Canadians.
"You go to the concert last night, eh?"
"Oh yeah, Celine sounded great eh, just like always"
"She's a real treasere, eh, that Celine can really belt it."
"Oh yeah, such a better voice than that Modanna Ciccone."
Off the top of my head: Morsette, Twain, Dione, LaVeigne....I couldn't tell you the last names of Cher and Madonna without looking it up. NOTE: I know those last names are spelled wrong, but looking them up would have defeated my purpose.
I worked in Canada for a bit during college and always have fine memories of that great nation. Only country I know where you can play ultimate frisbee on the Capitol lawn.
Regarding Keith's, I used to make my friend's g/f (lived in Windsor) bring me cases over the border whenever possible. I was very disappointed when they broke up.
Best wishes to Canadians everywhere, Happy Canada Day
is from Canada, so celebrate today by eating five chocolate cakes, six Big Macs, three pans of lasagna, twelve snickers bars, nine frenchbread pizzas, four human beings and a pie that you found cooling on the neighbor's window sill.
Tim Biakabutuka (1995): Carried the ball 37 times for 313 yards in a 31-23 win over the previously-unbeaten Buckeyes.
Thank you Canada and Zaire for giving Buckeyes heart burn every time 313 or his name is brought up.
In the time it took to post this thread Nick drained another three against Illinois as they chanted USA-USA anytime he had the ball.
OH CANADA!
My favorite Canadian, most likely.
Take off, hosers
Thank you for Labatt, Molson, and CBC's Hockey Night in Canada - RIP :(
TRUE PATRIOT LOVE
I remember at halftime when Rice came to play M in 2000 and their band annoucned they were about to play the State of Michigan Anthem (everyone rose)- and started to play OH CANADA. It got a good laugh
Beat me to it. Was about to post a pic of them. So here's Lahey and Randy instead. "I am the Liquor, Randy."
shit like that worked.
Step on his toe!
/ soooorry
I'll have you know I'm 1/4 canadian, and comments like that make my blood positively tepid!
Oh, and Canada gave us, like, every HGTV show. So they got going for them.
I'll have an icy cold Molson Golden tonight to honor the Great White North.
I had many a good time in Windsor years ago. The lower legal drinking age attracted many of my brethren.

Not sure how to embed the video here, but one of the best renditions of any national anthem in my opinion was during the 2006 Stanley Cup plaoffs in Edmonton. Still gives me chills even as an American.
