| 3 weeks 6 hours ago | Little Brown Jug |
The real reason for the switch to the new divisions is because they are running out of room on the little brown jug to mark the scores. Now it's good to go for another 100 years or so. |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | College Football Playoff |
But Brian, you totally missed what they intend to do. In the true interest of amature athletics, it's going to be "College Football Playoff sponsored by _________." |
| 8 weeks 6 days ago | Jim Delaney = bowl executive |
Someone needs to photoshop Jim Delany into a bowl executive's yellow jacket. All he is is a glorified bowl executive making money for his local chamber of commerce, i.e., the AD's of the B1G. |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | NHL - Atlanta |
But this is the NHL we are talking about so the Montreal Canadiens will be moving to Atlanta any time now. |
| 11 weeks 4 days ago | Official block M's |
So we get 2 official block M's but at least a half dozen official uniformz each year??? DB should go back to selling pizza. |
| 12 weeks 6 days ago | Gibbons' pads |
Had a non-UM friend complain to me about Gibbons' pants earlier this year. Yes the photo is from pre-game but from the photo it looks like his knee pads are about the size of silver dollars and are rolled up over the knee. Also he's got some slimmed down thigh pads. Anyone know the rules on this or is it just something where the refs look the other way? Kind of like the reverse of goalie pads. |

Considering how DB has otherwise scheduled non-conference games, yes, please. |
| 18 weeks 4 days ago | ratings |
Kovacs was a walk on and Ryan was I believe a 3 star. Some of our 5 stars have not always panned out as we had hoped. It's not an exact science. Ratings give us all something to discuss, but in the end, I'd rather put my trust in what the coaching staff sees in a kid they decide to offer. |
| 18 weeks 5 days ago | Truba hit |
Not so sure Truba was "bracing himself" and just happened to have his elbow hanging out there at head level, but we each see what we want to see. Obviously the BTN, which spent the next 2 minutes talking about it, didn't see it your way either. |
| 18 weeks 5 days ago | UM dangerous shots |
BTN talked about a shot I think by Trouba in the 2nd Period where he sent his elbow to the BG player's head and the BG player went down in a heap. Commentators said Trouba was lucky he didn't get 5 minutes at a minimum. No onslaught by the BG players in retaliation. Shot to the knee, shot to the head. It's a tough game and not every shot leads to retaliation. |
| 18 weeks 6 days ago | recruit rankings |
Interesting that our top person leaving (Kovacs) was a walk-on and the top returner was I believe a 3 star who was added late to his class (Ryan). Sometimes the star rankings are more hype than reality. You never know what happens to a kid over 4 or 5 years. We just need to trust our coaches and their recruiting instincts. |

oops, double post |
| 21 weeks 4 days ago | Amaker's UM court |
The best thing that Amaker did for UM was to create the classic and clean look that is and remains the UM basketball court. DB will screw with that soon enough and trump up a quote from a player for the press release that they "really like the look of the new floor." |
| 21 weeks 6 days ago | Advertising 101 |
Me thinks DB skiped class that day in Advertising 101 when they did a case study on new Coke. Sometimes you can mess with a good thing and totally screw it up. DB is on his way of doing just that. Send him back to the pizza shop. Now, get off my damn lawn. |
| 23 weeks 4 days ago | Hazell |
Don't underestimate this guy. Yes, he's at Purdue, but he's a class act who gets it. He reminds me of Brady in that way. He was also OSU's WR coach for 7 years under Tressel, and an assistant head coach for Tress. Purdue will get back to lighting up the scoreboard, at least until Perry the Torn-ACL-ephant has his way. I bet nobody in West Layfaette told him about Perry or he'd have stayed at KSU. |

Who has a verbal with Wisconsin for 2013 (other than their yearly transfer QB) that we may now have on our wish list? |
| 24 weeks 3 days ago | MAC |
There are $28.6 Million reasons to root for Kent to win and go to either the Orange or Sugar Bowls (that is unless the guys in yellow jackets skim it all away). That spare change will help all of the athletic departments of the MAC schools, each of whom can use it. |
| 25 weeks 6 days ago | USFL |
After seeing pictures of some of the Maryland and Rutgers uniforms, I think Delany unknowlingly just picked up a couple of USFL teams. |
| 26 weeks 8 hours ago | Kiss Wisc and PSU goodbye |
If you are student and spend 4 years in Ann Arbor, it is likely you may spend your entire time in Ann Arbor without getting to see a game in the Big House against the cheeseheads or a last minute dismantling of PSU. Think of the epic games/finishes UM has had against those two teams. Another end of an era. I'm beginning to realize that the Big Ten Network is the devil. But hey, Brandon promised on 60 minutes to bring entertainment to the fans. Moar skydiving gameballz!! The entertainment that I want to see is the freakin tradiitonal Big 10 teams playing in the Big House every other year. |

Damn over signing. |
| 37 weeks 3 days ago | good decision |
For all the things we love about Hoke, we can now add one more. Well played, sir, and well stated. Parents of recruits, take notice. This guy has the your son's back, and not just on the football field. This is not the Ess Eee Cee. |
| 37 weeks 4 days ago | Kovacs |
Knowing I am going to miss him after this season (and not sure when we will get another quite like him), I am simply going to enjoy watching Kovacs during his senior year and savor the experience, much like I will savor the experience of watching Denard this year. |
| 45 weeks 9 hours ago | Cbus |
If you like endless strip malls, tracts of bland suburban houses and eating at chains like Applebees, you'll love it. Not much character in a city where cornfields run up to the city limits, but hey they are trying. |
| 48 weeks 5 days ago | Strickland and other options |
Per the Cleveland Plain Dealer, KSU's recruiting budget was $6,800 and all their players are from Ohio and Pennsylvania. If Strickland is not interested, he's got a very good long-time pitching coach, Mike Birkbeck, a former MLB player. However, Birkbeck didn't want the job before they offered it to Strickland and his son is a freshman for KSU. If neither of them is interested, Akron has the former Kent coach, Rick Rembielak, who started Kent on their run a number of years ago. He left and was a bust at Wake Forrest, I think, but he was out of his element from a recruiting standpoint in North Carolina. Regardless, it should be interesting to see what happens. |
| 1 year 1 week ago | Jump around |
Wisconsin started Jump Around in 1998 and it's epic. When you see it you think Wisconsin football. Same with Sweet Caroline in Boston for the 7th inning stretch. One is a relatively new tradition and the other is old school. Both work. Neither should be used by anyone else - its taken. Michigan oozes tradition in so many ways and should try and find someting that is unique to Michigan football. Howeve,r sometimes when you try to hard to create something it falls on its face, but when you least expect it, something will stick. |
| 1 year 3 weeks ago | Need to read between the lines |
As I deconstruct Bill Hancock's statements, here's what I think his true meaning is: 1. Moar money for guys in yellow jackets; 2. Moar junket trips for guys in yellow jackets; 3. Moar bowl game like perks for guys in yellow jackets; and 4. Moar ways for guys in yellow jackets to skirt non-profit laws and get even moar of that moar money. |

Just like the muppet videos, you can't have one without the other. |
| 1 year 9 weeks ago | Ohio |
Since they are the real Ohio shouldn't it be Ohio (YTO). In Hoke's mind they probably are Ohio (NTO) . This stuff gets confusing. |
| 1 year 9 weeks ago | BG |
With the demise of the CCHA, I hope UM finds a way to keep the 1984 NCAA national champs on their schedule in the future. |

I think Brian should challenge Matt to a curling match at the BG ice arena. |
