Wisconsin started Jump Around in 1998 and it's epic.  When you see it you think Wisconsin football.  Same with Sweet Caroline in Boston for the 7th inning stretch.  One is a relatively new tradition and the other is old school.  Both work.  Neither should be used by anyone else - its taken.  Michigan oozes tradition in so many ways and should try and find someting that is unique to Michigan football.  Howeve,r sometimes when you try to hard to create something it falls on its face, but when you least expect it, something will stick.

As I deconstruct Bill Hancock's statements, here's what I think his true meaning is:

1.  Moar money for guys in yellow jackets;

2.  Moar junket trips for guys in yellow jackets;

3. Moar bowl game like perks for guys in yellow jackets; and

4. Moar ways for guys in yellow jackets to skirt non-profit laws and get even moar of that  moar money.

Since they are the real Ohio shouldn't it be Ohio (YTO).  In Hoke's mind they probably are Ohio (NTO) .  This stuff gets confusing.

With the demise of the CCHA, I hope UM finds a way to keep the 1984 NCAA national champs on their schedule in the future.

Agree with poster who stated that Brian's idea would impact players plaing in Cape Cod league.  Any idea where UM players played last summer?  If the team spends so much time in the south early in the season, how in the world are they able to take classes at UM or at least do well in classes in the spring?  A month off would make catching up very hard.

A group going to next year's game should roll out a huge banner that lists all the Bama kids that Saban has messed with.  If it's big enough, it wil get huge publicity across the country and draw attention to the hypocrite that Saban is.  Kind of like the "Ruth did it with hot dogs and beer" banner they rolled out for Barry Bonds a number of years ago.

Interesting how the top two returing starters on Brian's chart are a former walk-on (Kovacs) and someone who as I recall was not that highly rated and seemed to be more of an afterthought recruit (Ryan).  Sometimes the recruiting gurus do get it wrong.
