Ramzy of Eleven warriors said that made him bust out laughing. I can see why.

I'm so jealous of Brian. My goal for years has been to get personally insulted by Brandon. Congrats, Brian!

Insulted by Brandon?

If ever there was an example of beating an entirely dead and decayed and fossilized horse, this book would be it. I cannot imagine spending money for it, or even reading it if was given to me. I'd rather pull off a fingernail with a pliers.
August 21st, 2015 at 7:47 PM ^
This book is the one I'm looking forward to the most. I want to know what Brandon was thinking...
August 21st, 2015 at 8:13 PM ^
He wasn't. That was the problem.

I'm sure JUB will give you a real unbiased view. Wasn't he denied access to the press box?
Not a single first hand quote in this book will let you know what Dave Brandon was thinking.
August 22nd, 2015 at 7:17 AM ^
Even if his view is biased, it is more of a realistic look than us just speculating.
August 21st, 2015 at 7:47 PM ^
Shouldn't you be working on those Third Quarter Earnings Reports, Dave?
August 21st, 2015 at 8:32 PM ^

You're drunk. Go to bed.

The book covers events that occurred less than one year ago. The subject matter concerns probably the most intriguing story in college football, if not all of college sports, over the past year--and certainly the one most relevant to the Michigan sports fan community. The book presumably contains new information about those events that is not yet in the public domain, and gives persepctives and opinions from people close to the situtation. if you sincerely believe this matter constitutes dead horse beating, then it can only be because you're a close-minded person who has already made up his or her mind about what happened and is resistant to new information.

Nobody gives a shit outside this blog.
August 22nd, 2015 at 4:39 AM ^
No one's gonna make you sit down and read it, so at least you can rest easy about that.
August 22nd, 2015 at 6:27 AM ^
I am not sure what point you are trying to make. This is a blog for people who follow Michigan sports. Bacon's book is obviously going to be very interesting to people who follow Michigan sports. If you don't follow Michigan sports, why are you here? Are you lonely? Are you a troll? Seriously, WTF?
I will grant you that the people who read this blog care the most about the story. But lots of people read this blog. I personally happen to think the story has significantly broader appeal, but even if it doesn't, so what? I don't personally have much interest in, say, knitting. But if somebody wrote a compelling new book about knitting, I wouldn't go onto a knitting website and tell people their book was stupid and that nobody else cares.
August 22nd, 2015 at 11:24 AM ^
"...I wouldn't go onto a knitting website and tell people their book was stupid and that nobody else cares."
Sure, you wouldn't - but unfortunately, there are plenty of other people who haven't figured out that there's a difference between wanting to say something, and having something worthwhile to say.
To these people, there's really only one response:
Quit knitting and go to bed.

I hear you. I will definitely read it but I'm probably going to wait until after football season to do so.
August 22nd, 2015 at 12:00 AM ^
Why does the time of year that you read it make any difference?
August 22nd, 2015 at 12:49 PM ^
If ever there was a topic more necessary to be chronicled and committed to institutional memory to avoid the same mistakes being made in the future, this book would be it. I cannot imagine anyone but the most disloyal and apathetic of Michigan fans not spending money on it.
August 21st, 2015 at 7:48 PM ^
Speaking of Brandon... Brandon Peters first game of the season is being streamed.
Sounds like he has thrown 3 TDs so far.

Can someone photoshop Brian in a terrorist outfit?
August 21st, 2015 at 9:01 PM ^
Please don't do this. Most people associate Arab clothing with terrorists, when in fact terrorists can be from any country, any race, any gender, and any religion. They're just terrible people following a misguided philosophy.
