Logging in for the first…

Logging in for the first time in years to say FUCK Taylor Lewan. He covered up for Gibbons and should not be celebrated as a Wolverine.

His freshman year with…

His freshman year with shitty QB play in year 1? What were you expecting?

And he’s looks good these first two games. What are you watching?

I haven’t been underwhelmed…

I haven’t been underwhelmed with him at all, and with his athleticism, assuming he wants to and I don’t see why he wouldn’t want to, he certainly has a pro career on the horizon.

So, no, I disagree with you.

I have no issue with…

I have no issue with negative opinions, I just think it’s unreasonable to be down on DPJ this early in their career. DPJ hasn’t been a superstar but he’s been a contributor from Day 1 and has still flashed all the promise that he can develop into a freak. I can confidently say no, I’m not worried DPJ is going to be a bust.

Uh...no.

I disagree. The odds of playing a 100-200 RPI team aren't 75-80. A decent team would have those odds somewhere in the 90-95 range, with most of those games at home.

Also, we should never schedule a team that has even a possibility of slipping below 250, and that happens regularly.

Alabama A&M was never gonna be a marquee game...

My shot in the dark

Just a hunch, but we all know Coach B's offense is really detailed and can take a while to pick up. I think he intentionally schedules a weak non-conference schedule to give his young players more time to learn his system.

That being said, he can find a middle ground to avoid RPI problems and still help his team.

I disagree. I caught the second half of yesterday's game on the radio and it's still awful. Consistently fails to mention needed information and he might be worse than Brian at pronouncing names.

Perhaps we just have high standards, but I can't think of anyone who calls a major sports team around here that is remotely as bad. Dickinson, Jim Miller, Ken Kal, Blaha, Shep -- all leaps and bounds better.

I love Brandy as a Michigan Man and the other shows he hosts, but this play by play role does not suit him.

Okie State got lost on a lot

Okie State got lost on a lot of drive and kicks and M did a good job creating space around the arc to open up shooters. A lot of the second-half looks were catch and shoots with crisp passing that allowed shooters to go up in rhythm.

Not gonna lie, really

Not gonna lie, really disappointed with this board that we are this far down the big balls thread with zero mention of Sam Cassell.

I don't think it really means

I don't think it really means anything about Gay but I do think it means the staff is very confident in Martin and Collins.

He played limited snaps early

He played limited snaps early last year before what we all assume is an "injury" to save his redshirt year.

So, to answer your question, TBD.

Roger Chaffee is a Grand Rapids native and a Purdue grad. Safe to say the B1G deserves its fair share of credit in the space program's success.

In 2016, out of 253 total

In 2016, out of 253 total draft picks, only 22 did NOT make the team out of camp in Year 1.

Rounds 1-3: 0
Round 4: 1
Round 5: 3
Round 6: 11 (out of 45 -- with compensatory picks factored in)
Round 7: 7 (out of 32)

175 players were selected in the first 5 rounds in 2016. Of those 175, four were cut out of camp. 97.7 percent.

He was a seventh-round pick. In New England. More the exception that makes the rule. Find me the ratio of draftees taken in the first five rounds that DON'T make the team that first year. I'd guarantee it's better than 95 percent.

If you get drafted, odds are

If you get drafted, odds are quite high you make the team out of camp. I think your expectations are low. Wormley, assuming he is taken in the first five rounds, would be a virtual lock to make a roster if healthy, simply because teams don't want to give up on draft picks that early. Year 2 and Year 3 are a different story for late-round picks, but Year 1 picks almost always make the team.

Graham Couch is a bundle of wangs in a trenchcoat. He sniffs his own farts. He's a mediocre writer who wouldn't know objectivity if it slept with his wife.

I know we all love our share of Sparty schadenfreude around here, but Graham Couch's opinion holds about as much weight as the shit I took last night. Don't bother with his drivel.

WMU went 8-5 last year. This really is the second strong season for Fleck. And considering the year over year improvement they have shown, he appears to be as legit as any other up and coming coach. But I agree with you that he won't be on Texas' radar. It will be Herman or a big name retread.

This is just my opinion, so

This is just my opinion, so don't read into it like I'm shitting on people who disagree with me, but I gave up sports radio like five years ago and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

I much prefer podcasts that provide a more on-demand nature and there's so much quality content on just about every relevant topic that you always have something good available to listen to.

Podcasts > local sports talk >>> national sports talk

NOTE: I like Sam and Ira and occasionally will check out some of their segments via podcast -- including the MGoBlog roundtable -- but I never hear them live.
