All of us know that Harbaugh is a "Super Star". Being a Viet Nam vet, I'm still disappointed though that he mentioned the "draft dodging" Ali.

Dodging the draft for idiotic wars is highly commendable.

If in some smothering dreams, you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil’s sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,—
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie: Dulce et decorum est
Pro patria mori.
Notes:
Latin phrase is from the Roman poet Horace: “It is sweet and fitting to die for one’s country.”

If your friend dodged the draft, then he is a cowardice piece of shit that doesn't deserve this country.

I respect the right to think fights suck ass - they do.  I respect the right to disagree, speak out, protest, whatever.  But when a law is enacted (ie: the draft), we all must follow the law.  Protest to change it, but until it's changed it must be followed.  That is how our country works.  You don't get to make your own rules for safe space reasons, or any other reason.

That's my $0.02, no more politics for me.

Eh, our country's founding had a lot to do with people not choosing to follow the existing (British) law.

I have great respect for those who serve in the military. At the same time I feel that some aren't cut out for military duty, and they should not be coerced into fighting against their will, barring some sort of national emergency (a label I would not apply to the Vietnam War).

It's more than a friend.

It is better to be a coward than putting your life on the line for a cause not worth it and which was in fact immoral

It is mentalities like yours that enable tyrants and fools to wage wars that kill millions and destroy countries.Your inability to critical think does not surprise. Too many men think like you, many of whom end up dead at a young age because of it. You have embraced the lie. I pity you for that. I pity cowards like you too timid to say no to authority. .

As terrible as this perspective is, give the guy credit. His username tells us he knows what he is. WD could learn something from him.

Who referenced Ali. Don't blame Jim for that. All this worshipful hoo-ha about who JH knows won't mean anything more to most UM fans than him liking SpongeBob if we don't beat OSU.

who presented reasons to not like him, and reasons to admire him.

So I plus oned you for your valid opinion, and think all the minuses (who are not "no politics") need to check their open mindedness.

- Jenkins, the cornerback, eventually left Florida for North Alabama after Meyer’s successor, Will Muschamp, dismissed him from the team after marijuana arrests. Several months later, Jenkins spoke to The Orlando Sentinel about his dismissal.

“If Coach Meyer were still coaching, I’d still be playing for the Gators,” he was quoted as saying. “Coach Meyer knows what it takes to win.”

Why does Harbaugh and the rest of our staff say that this is just another game?? Osu knows it's not just another game. Really hope our staff doesn't actually believe that or I'm not sure we'll beat them again

Hail Harbo

And yet Bo famously spent the entire season getting ready to beat OSU, and he made no secret of that fact.

If every game is a championship game, then no game is a championship game.  I'm quite sure Michigan entered into the Iowa game thinking it was another "championship" game while Iowa entered into the game knowing that they had to play their very best game of the season to beat Michigan.  I think we all know the result, Michigan was rather flat because they were playing their 10th consecutive "championship" game while Iowa came to play their actual championship game.

You really think this game hasn't been on Harbaugh's mind all year?  He hired Don Brown specifically for this game.  Brown had no experience in national spotlight pressure cooker college football.  And don't spew Boston College, either...  But he specializes in stopping spread teams.  His defenses are designed for them and proven to excel against them.  He spent the entire year socializing freshmen with game breaking capabilities to competition.  There are boatloads of options he has offensively for this game because of that preparation.  Defensively, Brown has been working in a 3-3-5 package slowly over the last few weeks.  That package is a known commodity that works when implemented correctly against spread offenses.

Don't think Harbaugh doesn't put this game above all others on the schedule...

If you really believe that Michigan lost to iowa because the Michigan players were focused on the game at hand (which is what the "approach every game like a championship game" mantra is all about), I don't know what to say, other than your assertion sounds foolish and self-contradictory.

I think it likelier that Michigan lost because the players were not sufficiently focused.
