Oh, so now you can claim that Wisconsin just "blew it" and can't give credit to Nebraska for playing good football?

Watching this makes me have concerns

  • We stopped Wisconsin Run. I wonder how Michigan rush defense would do against this Wisconsin team.
  • This is the Wisconsin team I'm use to seeing. Where have these guys been. Maybe they save their best for the games that matter (Minnesota, Indiana, Purdue)? That is after they fired their OL coach.
  • Nebraska must like to come from behind.
  • Nebraska must not remember giving up 63 points and getting crushed. I don't know what's wrong with the black shirts but they haven't looked this bad since the OSU game.
  • That stadium not being filled is a disgrace. OSU and/or Michigan would pack Lucas Oil Stadium Out.
  • One year later OSU and UM will play back to back games.

The post-season is inherently south/west favored.  It's obvious that the vast majority of the bowl games are played in the south and west which favors the teams from those regions in both weather conditions, proximity, time zones, etc.  But, it also appears that their conference championship games are also much closer to the majority of their schools than ours are, mostly because they are in closer proximity to each other.  This will only get worse as the B1G expands.  Imagine how a Rutgers would travel to a B1G championship game.  How far is NJ from Indianpolis?  The furthest team in the SEC from Atlanta would be Texas A&M or Missouri, which is new this year.  But, LSU, SC, Georgia, FLA, Bama, Auburn, MSU, Ole Miss, & Arkansas are all incredibly close to each other.  I don't know if there is any anwser to this, but the south/west will always have a better model and an advantage in the post-season.

Huh? To go from Baton Rouge to Columbia (SC) is an 11-hour drive. Fayetteville to Gainesville is a 15-hour drive. These states are a lot bigger than you think.

The difference with the SEC, I think, comes down to the fact that 1) Atlanta is a much bigger city than Indianapolis and has alumni from all of these schools and 2) the average Southerner is simply more into college football, and more likely to want to go to the game.
