That's in the basement of West Engineering. The NAME majors use it to test their submarines, boats and electric surfboards.

said to look for a tweet from Ferns around 2 or 3 I believe. He hinted that it has to do with Ferns recruiting hard for this class. Maybe a visit set up by a stud, hard to imagine that Ferns would be announing a commitment......
I would love to see Damon Webb has de-committed!
February 15th, 2013 at 9:20 AM ^
It's been confirmed by multiple outlets that it's not a commitment or a visit.
February 15th, 2013 at 10:37 AM ^
Doesn't mean its not a DEcommitment
February 15th, 2013 at 10:48 AM ^
not sure of his schedule, but how about governmentclass , math class or basketball practice

February 15th, 2013 at 9:16 AM ^
im guessing its a new facility / redoing schembechler hall
February 15th, 2013 at 9:21 AM ^
Michael Ferns, a HS JR, be the one to announce that facilites are being updated? That would be great. Facilities are great recruiting tools. However, it would be odd for Ferns to be the one to make this kind of announcement.
February 15th, 2013 at 9:38 AM ^
and future players benefiting from it.
February 15th, 2013 at 9:19 AM ^
We can't start a thread just because a recruit or commit says "something big is going to happen."
Maybe mid-terms are coming out. Maybe another kid is coming on "super visit weekend," Maybe mom made pizza rolls, Maybe the McRib is coming back for a month.
Let's just wait until there's actually something more than a tweet before we start making "watch" threads.
February 15th, 2013 at 9:24 AM ^
It's not just Ferns who tweeted this. Some people like the speculation and the anticipation of such news. It's the off-season so get over it and maybe not read it. No need to comment on what you approve or disapprove of...
February 15th, 2013 at 10:13 AM ^
...because never voicing disapproval makes perfect sense on a blog site that is largely self policed in regards to what type of content is tolerable.
FTR, the OP does not bother me, but telling people not to comment if they don't like a topic is an over used (and not well thought out) response.
If people disagree with the response, moderation will provide adequate warning.

February 15th, 2013 at 11:58 AM ^
policing the forum. When a mod does it, you won't normally have a thread to post to.
February 15th, 2013 at 9:25 AM ^
I think "something more" was when Tremendous said "it's not a commitment but it's still pretty sweet though."
February 15th, 2013 at 10:21 AM ^
DG gets his redshirt?
February 15th, 2013 at 10:25 AM ^
I hope it's this.
It would be like getting a 5* QB commit for 2014 (albeit, a one-and-done). It would go along nicely with the one-and-done OL 5* we just got for 2013.
February 15th, 2013 at 9:28 AM ^
This post isn't that bad.
It could be worse, like...oh I don't know. Starting a thread about the pope stepping down, locking the thread from all comments before anyone could comment, and saying "i'm just trying to get ahead of the inevitable" and then when it gets downvoted to hell removing the upvote/downvote function from it.
Just saying.
February 15th, 2013 at 9:32 AM ^
about Hoke sitting on his ass and not doing any recruiting?
Yeah, that was bad.
February 15th, 2013 at 1:16 PM ^
- That thread was started after one had already gone 170+ comments and needed to get taken down. What the Pope does has virtually no bearing on the purpose of the site, and stuff got way out of hand in the first thread. BiSB and his opinions on MGoBoard having nice things may never be more applicable than the first OP and many of the comments.
- I did not (and cannot) disable any user functionality. Here's a link if you would like to neg the post, since there seems to be some confusion on your end.
February 15th, 2013 at 2:57 PM ^
to down vote it twice... because once just isn't enough.
February 15th, 2013 at 3:21 PM ^
would be more understandable.
February 15th, 2013 at 6:07 PM ^
Okay, I'll admit when I'm wrong.
I thought I was on the site the whole day when your second post (which I thought was the first) popped up. Apparently it got bumped to the second page before I started lurking.
All I saw was your second post and thought you tried to hedge a bad post from ever popping up on a really off topic subject.
I now look like an ass, but I do apologize.
February 15th, 2013 at 6:51 PM ^
Sorry if that came off as overly defensive, but I did want to get things straight.
February 15th, 2013 at 8:10 PM ^
Nope it was perfectly fine. I had my facts wrong and called you out on something without knowing the whole story.
Cheers mate.

McRib is coming back?!?! Sweet! That is great news, can’t believe McD’s holds them hostage as they do. Bringing them back only when they need to increase sales numbers. What month? /s
February 15th, 2013 at 11:27 AM ^
That McDonald's made every MdRib they sell back in the 80's and they have to ration them out so they can only bring them "back" for short periods at a time. So I hope you like you "meat" extra aged because each McRib has about 30 years of aging on it.
February 15th, 2013 at 11:46 AM ^
The McRib's appearance is based entirely on the prices of pork in the U.S. I'm not sure of the exact number, but when pork is sufficiently cheap, the McRib makes a comeback and when prices rise again, it is taken off the menu. Simple, really, and fascinating.
Quite the McRib lover myself.

More than a tweet. It's a hashtag.

February 15th, 2013 at 11:17 AM ^
Maybe another kid is coming on "super visit weekend"
...still, the pizza rolls would've been an awesome choice as well.
February 15th, 2013 at 1:55 PM ^
"We can't start a thread just because a recruit or commit says "something big is going to happen.""
Isn't that EXACTLY what fanbase message boards are for? Speculation and discussion as to what the current team/staff/players/school is excited about doing?
February 15th, 2013 at 9:21 AM ^
February 15th, 2013 at 9:21 AM ^
Why would a recruit be announcing a new facility? Seems unlikely.
February 15th, 2013 at 9:24 AM ^
Ferns is coming to M to play LB and be an Assistant Athletic Director? By all accounts he's a very smart dude......
February 15th, 2013 at 9:23 AM ^
Could it be the announcement of another home night game? Is ND confirmed for 2013? Maybe it would be the UTL game for 2014?
February 15th, 2013 at 9:24 AM ^
Not to be a buzzkill but from what I am hearing, it's not something worth creating a thread for.
February 15th, 2013 at 6:13 PM ^
Hey everyone, I totally know the secret but I'm not telling you.
February 15th, 2013 at 9:24 AM ^
Okay OP. Let's play a game. I'm going to tell you that you are going to be horribly disappointed with a 90% chance of being correct.
Please let me know how you feel after the announcement comes out. Thanks.
February 15th, 2013 at 9:36 AM ^
That sounds like the 'let's see how fast you can clean your room well' game I used to play with my kids when they were younger.
Effective, but the final result was 'that's a game'?
/I like it
