Submitted by The Mad Hatter on

The former Michigan quarterback announced Sunday night that he's transferring to the University of Texas-San Antonio to play his final season of football in 2015.

wasn't so bad for our CC and Track teams..but slow, fat, white kids from suburbia didn't fit the Roadrunner mold so well! lol

Life's good.  He's had a great experience here.  Rich alumni pay thousands of $$ to experience in one day what he experianced for 4 years.  How cool is that?

Good luck to him on the next chapter.

my "problem" with Bellomy is that when he was the backup after Shane-gate that he didn't even have his helmet by his side. I mean, he's the #2 QB at that point. Keep your helmet with you, especially with Gardner being somewhat injured.

I know our coaching wasn't great last year, but I'd at least expect the backup QB to have his helmet nearby. If he did, Shane doesn't go back in the game and...

jblaze,

I would not be certain that Bellomy knew it would be him over Gardner at that moment. It is possible the communication was poor enough on that side of the ball and also possible that Hoke was so ill prepared, that Bellomy assumed it was Morris until something happens then it's back to Gardner. A coach or coaches may have even told Bellomy that all week. Then Hoke has a momentary lapse and "goes with his gut" and it's Bellomy. THEN Hoke continues to not take the timeout he so obviously needed to take. Yes Bellomy should still know where his helmet is but he may have been mismanaged to that moment and that part is on the coaches.

I understand transferring to get more playing time. There is nothing worse than working your butt off just to sit the bench. On the other hand, if he has interest in coaching after his playing days are done, then it is surprising that he wouldn't want to get some experience with a guy like JH.

People are super friendly in SA.  I appreciate that.  Also the river is only a couple feet deep there.  Cool spot, the river walk.

Definitely wishing him the very best since he'll be playing at the AlamoDome which is only about a quarter mile from my office, so will definitely have a few opportunities to go see him on Saturdays without even having to pay for parking. Hard to believe UTSA is only in its fourth year of existence as a football program, and people down here are still stoked to finally have a hometown team (though most are still Longhorns/Aggie fans).
