Not to crap on Nebraska's president but he's been pushing to play for months and his AD made veiled references to possibly leaving the conference. Him jumping the gun a bit wouldn't be a shock.

I watched Richard Jewell for the first time yesterday. Pretty good movie, not among Eastwood's finest, but still good. I don't know how much of what was portrayed in the movie actually happened that way or was exaggerated for effect, but somehow one of the themes in that movie of the media picking up anything it can find and running with it feels relevant here.
Maybe its just me. I don't know, man...

The media has been great the last 25 plus years. /s If you don't have enough info on a story or topic to form an opinion, they will even be nice enough to tell you how you should think about said topic. They cater to the intellectually lazy. Critical thinking used to be encouraged. Somewhere a long the line, we lost our way.
