Head coaches should always take advantage of their allowed in-home visit. Why should he neglect curent commits for ones that are not yet committed? Do you actually think RichRod is so stupid that he would NOT do an in-home with Parker, Baxter, Knight, and Dorsey?? He only get ONE. He has to choose it wisely. And, by the way, he's flying to Cali next.

In addition to Carvin and Dileo, RRod is probably also talking to some 2011 recruits and local high school coaches. Lets not forget that RRod was the OC at Tulane in 97-98, so he probably has a few recruiting connections in NOLA.

He's going to try and throw a football into a giant can of Dr. Pepper at halftime of the NFC Championship game for $50,000. If successful, he will promptly retire from coaching to live off his winnings.

Punt Pass and Kick finals are Sunday. He's taking in the 8-10 year old category. Early offer to a Samantha Greaks who blew away the boys. EDIT - the use of 'blew' probably wasn't the best idea!

I feel a bit dumb asking (because it probably means I missed something somewhere)... but will someone explain to me how the info on flightaware translates into Rich Rod being on that flight? All I see is that a 30-year-old puddle-jumper owned by a company in Columbus flew from Oakland Cty to Ann Arbor to NOLA to Baton Rouge. What piece am I missing that connects RR to that flight?

im excited to see what Carvin can do at Michigan he looks like hes improving. Also off this topic: Does anyone think Ricardo Miller will have any immediate impact?

If Ricardo can contribute on the outside, I would love for him to see early PT. Howeva, there is a lot of competition at that position with Jr, Stokes, Stonum, Cameron Gordon (switch to LB??) as well as the other freshmen. I honestly hope we can get a lot of production from the upperclassmen at receiver so we can redshirt the freshmen and not have to recruit more than 1-2 receivers in next years class. This way we can finally stop playing true freshmen all over the field and balance out our recruiting and focus on some linemen for next years class.

Everyone here is all wrong. Dileo and Carvin are in the bag, he's not going to visit them. Signing day is coming soon, so he's merely traveling to Louisiana in order to purchase some Snake Oil. Anyone who's ever been down to the Bayou/NOLA knows that Voodoo and black magic are about as much as part of Louisiana as Gators and Crawdads. They have the best Snake Oil around, and Rich Rodriguez has recognized this. Kudos to him. He's stocking up. How do you think Les Miles was able to take Jai Eugene away from Lloyd Carr? It wasn't negative recruiting - He merely made a quick trip down to Orleans Parish and got a few bottles of Snake Oil to use. Quit the snake oil talk - We don't want other coaches to get in on his secret.

I do believe he's down trying to secure our future at LB. There seems to be some kid down there is Jackson's Bayou worth looking at. Word is he can lay the wood on QBs! Too bad he's not rated on any services or anything...

For the record, I've decided to neg every post that mentions snake oil. That joke got old by the time the '08 season was over. Maybe even sooner.
