This was expected with the receiver room Michigans has next year, right?
January 4th, 2023 at 9:56 PM ^
Yes. It was rumored for roughly half of the season.
January 5th, 2023 at 11:51 AM ^
the troubling part about this was the wording of his announcement:
Coach is leaving, I might as well too.
j/k

Still hurts. Incidentally, who can tell me how to change my mgousername? I guess I'm obligated now.
January 4th, 2023 at 9:59 PM ^
User name checked out
January 5th, 2023 at 7:55 AM ^
My original mgousername here was Rich Godriguez…
January 5th, 2023 at 8:11 AM ^
That didn't age well !
January 5th, 2023 at 11:32 AM ^
There once was a user name Hoke's Headset. Wonder what happened to that person.
January 5th, 2023 at 8:38 AM ^
You’re not obligated to change anything… regardless of circumstance.
January 5th, 2023 at 8:56 AM ^
see the mistake you made was picking a username of someone living. always go for dead people usernames.
January 5th, 2023 at 9:59 AM ^
am ... am I dead?

Even aside from the freshmen behind him, when he looked primed to be a 2022 breakout player after a few flashes in 2021, I thought portal might be in his future when he had next to nothing this year. Just 7 receptions on the entire year. Seemed like he had a great chance to fill some of the jump ball maven shoes that Nico left, but didn't work out.
I won't be surprised if he becomes a quality jump ball guy for a program that values WRs a bit more than Michigan does
January 5th, 2023 at 7:48 AM ^
Getting to the point of having a 50/50 ball thrown your way usually means you have some penchant for running routes and making catches. He never advanced to that point, physical gifts are just one part of it. I don't know why he never advanced beyond the one game at MSU. But he still doesn't seem to run a good route, isn't typical of a Michigan WR as a blocker, and apparently hasn't stood out in practice enough to earn more PT. In fact, his PT has been getting pipped by Tyler Morris.
I wish him a lot of good luck wherever he goes, but I see some Giles Jackson in him. Productive, will get PT, but not someone that instills fear.
I will gladly place some of the blame for his lack of advancement on his position coach. I haven't seen much from Bellamy that makes me think he's the pile of overachieving awesomeness that people speak about him like.
January 5th, 2023 at 9:26 AM ^
PT has been getting pipped by Tyler Morris
Isn't getting pipped when you lose your job because of injury and your replacement does so well you can't earn it back? Not sure he was "pipped", sounds like he was simply passed.
January 5th, 2023 at 9:41 AM ^
A fair distinction - you are correct.
January 5th, 2023 at 10:31 AM ^
Not fair to blame Bellamy.
Blame the system and the OC's if anything.
If you aren't a top 3 WR here, you aren't getting the ball much, period.
January 4th, 2023 at 9:41 PM ^
I wish him luck. We’ll always have that MSU performance.
January 4th, 2023 at 9:49 PM ^
Good kid and I wish him well, but do you mean the one we lost? He played great but I refuse to acknowledge anything happening in a game lost to MSU as a good thing.
January 4th, 2023 at 10:01 PM ^
He probably doesn't acknowledge you so it's a wash.
January 4th, 2023 at 11:45 PM ^
Cool story bro. Guess everyone who loses a game is a failure, and there is no dignity in a performance in the face of it. Devin Gardner died for nothing.
January 5th, 2023 at 12:00 AM ^
When that loss is to MSU, yes, it's a failure
January 5th, 2023 at 5:59 AM ^
I like this guy.
January 5th, 2023 at 7:52 AM ^
You hate John Glenn, also, because he was taken alive?
January 5th, 2023 at 10:53 AM ^
Slightly different scenario there chief
January 5th, 2023 at 1:57 PM ^
John Glenn John McCain, what's the difference?!
January 5th, 2023 at 10:53 AM ^
Slightly different scenario there chief
January 4th, 2023 at 11:31 PM ^
He was our version of MSUs wide receiver Ricky White who torched us a couple years ago. Both came out of nowhere for monster games, didn’t do much the rest of the season and transferred.
January 4th, 2023 at 11:53 PM ^
Puzzling right? Johnson and Bell aren’t exactly burners…seems like the door would’ve been wide open for Anthony to put up some numbers this year. I’m not surprised he’s transferring, I’d like to know why it didn’t work out like we all thought it would though.
January 5th, 2023 at 8:19 AM ^
I think it had more to do with 'the team, the team, the team'. In his instance, failure to block.
January 5th, 2023 at 5:11 AM ^
I'll never understand why people think this is some big loss. This would be no bigger if a loss than if someone like Dunlap left. All potential and nothing more. Good luck to the kid
January 4th, 2023 at 9:41 PM ^
Go luck Andrel! Be great
January 4th, 2023 at 9:42 PM ^
Unless you go home to MSU.
January 4th, 2023 at 9:51 PM ^
Watch him go to Iowa.
January 4th, 2023 at 10:13 PM ^
interesting
January 4th, 2023 at 10:15 PM ^
I just remembered there was talk he was going there when Cade McNamara decided to go there
There was also talk the he was going to follow Josh Gattis to Miami.
January 4th, 2023 at 10:37 PM ^
Either way, it sounds like he was itching to leave.
Best of luck, Anthony!
January 4th, 2023 at 10:45 PM ^
He's too tall for a Gattis offense
January 4th, 2023 at 11:01 PM ^
I also remember someone on here in the last month or so saying a player was talking about following Cade and All to Iowa, but with how those two talked shit after they left, probably wasn't going to follow them.
January 5th, 2023 at 1:09 AM ^
He would start. Nico Ragainy is a slot and the only experience left.
January 5th, 2023 at 6:56 AM ^
Cade McNamara didn't say anything negative about Michigan when he left.
January 5th, 2023 at 7:54 AM ^
What fucking planet do you live on?
January 5th, 2023 at 8:42 AM ^
Dude is just an elaborate troll account... I will never understand.
January 4th, 2023 at 10:14 PM ^
He might. I know there was talk of a receiver also transferring there on Reddit
January 4th, 2023 at 10:40 PM ^
Iowa? Their defense scores most of their points.
January 4th, 2023 at 11:03 PM ^
He would be the number 1 guy on the outside from day 1. No question. As bad as that offense was, suddenly they look dangerous with Cade, Erik, and Andrel in the passing game. Plus Iowa is always at least decent on the ground.
January 4th, 2023 at 11:50 PM ^
I believe a defensive back led them in TD catches this past season. Being the #1 WR at Iowa apparently doesn't mean much.
January 5th, 2023 at 11:16 AM ^
Not a fair statement. 2022 results do not necessarily portend 2023 results. A new QB can make a world of difference.
January 5th, 2023 at 1:08 AM ^
At this point, I'm not sure they look dangerous. Cade is a huge upgrade at QB; Anthony didn't do much with the opportunities he had at Michigan; All is a mystery, since we don't really know what went down here. Is he going to be healthy and ready to go? Seems that the Iowa offense is in much better shape, but still a question mark. They also now have to deal with a decent/good Illinois team, new crew in Wisconsin, and new coach at NE (although that one will take a few years to show improvement, seemingly).
January 5th, 2023 at 11:15 AM ^
All is going to be healthy. That was never in question. Michigan didn't like his choice of doctor and All didn't like how they treated him/his injury. That's why he left. He was always going to be able to play in 2023.
