Even aside from the freshmen behind him, when he looked primed to be a 2022 breakout player after a few flashes in 2021, I thought portal might be in his future when he had next to nothing this year. Just 7 receptions on the entire year. Seemed like he had a great chance to fill some of the jump ball maven shoes that Nico left, but didn't work out.

I won't be surprised if he becomes a quality jump ball guy for a program that values WRs a bit more than Michigan does

Getting to the point of having a 50/50 ball thrown your way usually means you have some penchant for running routes and making catches.  He never advanced to that point, physical gifts are just one part of it.  I don't know why he never advanced beyond the one game at MSU.  But he still doesn't seem to run a good route, isn't typical of a Michigan WR as a blocker, and apparently hasn't stood out in practice enough to earn more PT.  In fact, his PT has been getting pipped by Tyler Morris.

I wish him a lot of good luck wherever he goes, but I see some Giles Jackson in him.  Productive, will get PT, but not someone that instills fear.

I will gladly place some of the blame for his lack of advancement on his position coach.  I haven't seen much from Bellamy that makes me think he's the pile of overachieving awesomeness that people speak about him like.

I just remembered there was talk he was going there when Cade McNamara decided to go there

There was also talk the he was going to follow Josh Gattis to Miami.

At this point, I'm not sure they look dangerous.  Cade is a huge upgrade at QB; Anthony didn't do much with the opportunities he had at Michigan; All is a mystery, since we don't really know what went down here.  Is he going to be healthy and ready to go?  Seems that the Iowa offense is in much better shape, but still a question mark.  They also now have to deal with a decent/good Illinois team, new crew in Wisconsin, and new coach at NE (although that one will take a few years to show improvement, seemingly).
