Admit it, You're Still Floating Around your House/Work b/c of Saturday

Submitted by XM - Mt 1822 on November 28th, 2022 at 11:28 AM

Mates,

Saturday was glorious for so many reasons, too many to count.  But yesterday didn't most of us still have trouble keeping our feet on the ground?   Which leads me to Monday, where you/we are still distracted, smiling, non-plussed by the normal work problems.

We dropped the proverbial Maize and Blue bomb on Columbus Saturday, and that smile isn't going off of our collective faces any time soon

So what has your day been like today as you meet others back in your normal lives?

These are sweet times, looking forward to Saturday night's B!)CG, and a highly likely CFP birth.  Savor them.

This is totally true! I absolutely am! I live in Florida and was wearing my Michigan sweatshirt and had some random man say “it was so nice to see Michigan beat Ohio State”. Those moments just make it continue and it’s so awesome!

I am still in shock. I had no expectations of a win. Zero. I think I have watched the highlights more than 10 times. I am not over it. Just really hope usc pulls out the win against a tough utah team.

Same.  I thought we had a non-zero chance to win, but didn't expect it.  I was rooting for UCLA against USC, and even South Carolina against Clemson (during the OSU game!  though eff Dabo anyway) so we could keep the playoff back door open.  Now it's flipped.  Hope Caleb wins a unanimous Heisman and Cam Rising commits all the dumb turnovers he's capable of doing with that lucky-ass USC defense.

Haha! This was something my mind wasn’t capable of on Saturday. I had also processed all the scenarios of who we needed to lose, should we lose, and was invested in watching all of those, and then once we won I just couldn’t process interest in those games one bit. At some point I just turned off the TV and said goodbye to the college football season with the most incredible sense of peace because those results just didn’t matter. It was awesome.

I work at a high school. There's a student who has been giving me crap all year that Ohio State is gonna beat Michigan this year. I was so excited to see him this morning, it was fantastic. He tried to hide away and come in through a different entrance. But I found him, and simply smiled. So good. I'm wearing my Michigan jersey all day!

my colleague went to the game (as a guest of a diehard Ohio State fan), she was a semi-neutral observer.

When we talked this morning, she was like "yeah it was great up until the 4th quarter" and i just laughed and laughed. Sharing the car ride home with a despondent buckeye must have sucked

Honestly, I sort of feel hung over; a lot of emotional stress goes into these games, especially when we are at the 'Shoe. I gotta get myself ready to take another hit of serotonin or dopamine or whatever it is that will be coursing through my viens Saturday night.

I was at the Browns vs Buccaneers game Sunday and there was a ton of Michigan gear in and out of the stadium. Sure, some of it was Brady #10 Michigan gear, but most of it was just Michigan gear.

I am going crazy!! So pumped up! And now I found out last night I’m going to the game on Saturday. Keep hitting refresh on here fiending for every morsel.

Edit: Just found out I will be in section 151. I assume that’s the Michigan side.

Today - as Saturday - is simply brilliant.

Several colleagues, who are huge Buckeye fans - spoke about the weather, and the flu, and bad calls - after the game in Ann Arbor last year.  They aren't saying anything this morning.

It's so strange...

Prior to kickoff in last year's game, I felt very pessimistic, but just a couple of minutes in, I KNEW that it was gonna be our day.

Prior to kickoff in this year's game, I felt NOTHING -- I truly didn't. I had zero idea where this game was gonna go. The weird thing, though? After OSU drove the field on the opening possession of the game and went up 7-0, I got a GOOD feeling -- like, okay, it's ON now. Let's go.

Anyway, it's a glorious Monday morning here in SW Ohio. It's chilly, it's gray, but it sure as hell isn't scarlet and gray!

I’m still grinning like an idiot over that win. I started watching Michigan football in 2006 at the age of nine and honestly have never seen Michigan win in Columbus. I have only experienced us getting kicked between the legs as a fan base up until 2021 and this season, having seen everything from 2006 to JT was short to a derailed revenge tour to Dobbins gutting our defense.

I teach at the school in AZ where OSU's big 2024 QB recruit is coming from...my daughter attends the same school and sits next to him in science class.  I keep telling her to just hum the Victors near him.  I'll check with her at end of day to see if she did.  If not, she's out of the family.

Saturday I wore my ‘Hurdle the Fools’ shirt.

Sunday I sported ‘Mr. Brightside.

Today I’m wearing ‘A More Perfect Union’.

I’ve been enjoying all of the high-5s on each and every Victory Walk with my dogs.

Beat Purdue!!!

100%. All I've done all weekend... and into today... is rewatch the game and/or watch any of the hundreds of media takes about the game.  So, so sweet.
