I would much rather see 4 -…

I would much rather see 4 - 20 team conferences each with 2 divisions of 10. Play all other 9 teams in your division and 3 at larges. The playoffs would then be the winner of each division in each conference against each other for the conference championship. Then, each of the 4 conference champions would play each other for the national title. That's regular season that means something and rewards teams for winning when it matters in the regular season. Then have a playoff that is also meaningful and winning a national championship actually means something with a conference champion being the only team to also be a national champion. For the first time, the regular season and the playoffs are equally important.

His issue is with referring to anything right wing as being racist. That's what that statement conveys.

I came to say nearly the…

I came to say nearly the same thing. Leave it racist tweets. Instead, by making the statement has he did, he just referred to anyone that isn't left as racist. That's half this site's subscribers. I get the board is run by people on the left, but impugning everyone on the right isn't right or good for business.

Super Conferences of 24…

Super Conferences of 24 could lead in my opinion to the B1G vs SEC with each conference having 4 divisions as the first round of division winners vs each other, then those winners vs each other, then winner of that game for B1G vs the Winner of the SEC division champion tournament. It would be far better than the new 12 team playoff that doesn't require teams to win their way in.

If you want to make it bigger, you can also have the remnants of the Pac12, Big 12, and ACC form a super conference and then have the final 4 teams be the winner of the B1G, SEC, and Remnants conference with one at large.

The schedule could be 7 division opponents and 1 opponent from each of the other divisions based on previous year standings, with 2 out of conference games.

I actually wouldn't mind…

I actually wouldn't mind Duke with UNC. Neither are all that great for football, but Duke is definitely a national brand for basketball and has a great academic reputation.

Btw, I hate Duke for what it's worth.

So, it might be Washington,…

So, it might be Washington, Oregon, FSU, and Miami to make it 20. If the B1G and SEC move to 24 teams each, who are the other 4 teams the B1G adds? Notre Dame, Staford, UNC, and one other?

Do the remnants of the Pac 12 and ACC join with the Big 12 for the 3rd and last conference after the B1G and SEC?

I know it's old school, but…

I know it's old school, but I still prefer to buy the actual magazines than go to websites for it. I like going through all the pages. Same thing with catalogs. I like going through pages and seeing things I didn't know I wanted before I saw them, haha.

Though I agree, the B1G has…

Though I agree, the B1G has not always worried to much about what a team brings in regards to competition, but in revenue. That's why Washington and Oregon most likely won't ever happen.

All the Florida NFL teams…

All the Florida NFL teams records begs to differ on that point. Their records are way worse in cold weather than cold weather teams records in hot weather.

I grew up in the Philippines…

I grew up in the Philippines and one year, it was in the 70's for a week and everyone was wearing full winter coats the whole week, haha.

You are correct, but Rutgers…

You are correct, but Rutgers doesn't have a big fan base in New York, but it still delivered the New York market. That would be the only reason Baylor would be a take and I would be willing to bet the B1G will know beforehand if they brought in Texas TV markets.

The B1G already has the DMC…

The B1G already has the DMC market with Maryland. No real reason to bring in Virginia. North Carolina would be a much better addition to the B1G as it is in the 9th most populous state.

The top 10 most populated…

The top 10 most populated state, which to the B1G means TV revenue are 1. California, 2. Texas, 3. Florida, 4. New York, 5. Pennsylvania, 6. Illinois, 7. Ohio, 8. Georgia, 9. North Carolina, 10. Michigan. The B1G already has 2 of the top 4 and 7 of the top 10. Adding Florida schools then ensures they easily will have the biggest broadcasting rights, which means whenever players get to start signing contracts to get a part of the biggest TV rights deals. The only thing they are missing is Texas and I wouldn't be surprised if they don't find a way there too.

I wouldn't be surprised to one day see Notre Dame, Florida State, North Carolina, and then one of Stanford, Baylor, and Miami. If they would take Miami now without being an AAU member, they would take Baylor without them being one if they thought that brought Texas TV rights with them. Stanford would be in my opinion more as a concession to bring in Notre Dame.

I learned how to onside kick…

I learned how to onside kick so well, that once I got the ball, no one got it again. My group had to make a rule that we couldn't onside kick unless it was the end of the game. When I first started doing it, it was so fun to make my friends get so angry, haha.

Having to play a second game…

Having to play a second game makes The Game pointless. No thank you. This was the whole problem when the B1G expanded the first time and had Michigan and OSU in the same division. They got rid of that fast.

I only want conference…

I only want conference champions playing for national championships. I hate teams not winning their conference somehow now being the best. They had their shot, but money is more important than actually winning when it counts in the regular season, so nothing I come up with matters anyway.

I once read where college…

I once read where college sports brought in millions, AAU brought in billions. That was why they were so focused on new schools being a member.

Protect 3. That way everyone…

Protect 3. That way everyone is played at least twice in a 4 year period and the protected games are still every year. Who wouldn't want to see UCLA or USC and Michigan or OSU at least twice in a 4 year period?

Use offshore. I won't…

Use offshore. I won't recommend any in particular, but my state doesn't allow online gambling either, so I have to go offshore.

Get rid of replaying every…

Get rid of replaying every stupid play and leave it to coaches challenges if you really must have replay.

2 was better on the 2nd…

2 was better on the 2nd watch. The first watch, I was a little disappointed, but when I watched it again knowing what to expect, I liked it a lot more.

My 17 year old son and I did…

My 17 year old son and I did have water in eyes during parts of the Vol 3.

That is exactly how I…

That is exactly how I described Honor Among Thieves to people. Guardians of the Galaxy vibe. My son and I enjoyed that movie too.

My 17 year old son and I…

My 17 year old son and I loved it.

He made a business decision…

He made a business decision and I don't fault him for it. I do fault Michigan for not even being competitive on the NIL front.

I still ask how the football program isn't losing players while the basketball program is? NIL can't be that much better in the football department, far more people to spread it around to.

This keeps going back to my…

This keeps going back to my question; how is Michigan with all it's recourses not able to get enough NIL to keep Dickinson? Is there no support for basketball from big time donors? The football team doesn't have it's best players transferring out for more NIL. I think the answer is pretty complicated, but NIL does not seem to be an issue with keeping football players, but it does for basketball players. What is the solution?

Where would you rather be as…

Where would you rather be as a player, MSU or Colorado? It doesn't seem like either place would be great, but I can't decide which is worse.

Isn't the MSU one how their…

Isn't the MSU one how their fans always look?

Having 32 players drafted in…

Having 32 players drafted in the past 4 years helps too. That's not counting all the UDFA's out there that found teams in some way too.

I feel like Michigan is the…

I feel like Michigan is the tough draw and none of the other teams are happy they have them in their bracket. Michigan is playing lights out and has nothing to lose. The other teams have far more pressure.

Shouldn't we give the B1G…

Shouldn't we give the B1G men's championship lacrosse team a front page muppets?

I don't fault Hunter…

I don't fault Hunter Dickinson at all for doing what is best for his long-term future. I just struggle with Michigan not seeming to even be able to compete.

I've read on here a few…

I've read on here a few times that Michigan State doesn't seem to worry about that law.

So, you are saying that…

So, you are saying that Kansas has much better support than Michigan for sports? The average Kansas fan isn't throwing their money in the hat, it's boosters moving where they spend their money on the program. Michigan has plenty of well-off boosters. I would wager far more than Kansas. Which brings us back to my original question, did they not want to keep Hunter or is there nowhere near the booster support for basketball that there is for football? Otherwise, top Michigan football players would be poached nonstop.

It could also be, Kansas University put the effort into finding the boosters and alumni to find enough NIL money for Hunter and Michigan refused to. That seems pretty likely given Michigan's past stance against facilitating NIL for recruiting.

I harbor no ill will towards…

I harbor no ill will towards Hunter for doing what is best for him. I do resent Michigan for not finding a way to keep it's best player with NIL. It makes not sense not to pull out all stops to keep an established player.

That is the frustrating part…

That is the frustrating part. How are they not able to? I get it if you say they won't, which find stupid on Michigan's part, but can't would assume Kansas has far more money going into it than Michigan.

How can Michigan not match…

How can Michigan not match NIL for an already established current player. Do they not want him or don't support basketball close the level of football?

How is Michigan not able to…

How is Michigan not able to get Hunter Dickinson $3million in NIL? Is NIL only going to the football program? This is the most frustrating part of this. I understand it with recruiting, don't agree with it, but I get Michigan wants to claim the higher morals, but he's already here and established, how can the program not have that set up unless they didn't want him or don't support basketball close to the level of football.

I'm an hour south of…

I'm an hour south of Cincinatti in Lexington. I might go watch a game to cheer him on. Last year I got to cheer Brady and DPJ in Cleveland for the Bucs at Browns game. I was 3 rows up and have some great photos from that day.

Always be prepared for life…

Always be prepared for life after football. Glad to see him get one of the most prestigious degrees a person can get.

I had to re-read it a few…

I had to re-read it a few times myself.

Since my son is a soccer…

Since my son is a soccer player in Lexington and knows a kid that just got a Michigan offer (not sure if it is an "offer" or an offer) for basketball if he knew him even though he's playing in Connecticut. Lexington isn't a big city, so most of the high school athletes here know each other or at least of each other.

I have a feeling that…

I have a feeling that Harbaugh is actually on board with this with Poggi. Harbaugh has always been about the best interests of players and assistants. I would imagine they spoke about this and Harbaugh knowing the depth he had didn't oppose it.

While we're at it, why don't…

While we're at it, why don't we add more time for replays. They get that right so often, we should do more of it.

More saracasm.

I think getting rid of…

I think getting rid of reviews on every freaking play would also cut down on time. Coaches challenge or no review at all, especially since they get the review wrong so often as it is.

Yes, but they way the NFL…

Yes, but they way the NFL officiates and relies far more on passing plays allows for comebacks. His point still has merit. An NFL style clock leads to a more NFL style college game and wants to watch college football for the different experience. I am apt to agree. I find the NFL to be extremely boring.

Less football, just what we…

Less football, just what we've been clamoring for. I bet we even get more adds too. I'm stoked!

Sarcasm in case anyone needed the clarification.

I would take route running…

I would take route running with ball skills over flat out speed anytime. Look at Jerry Rice. I don't even know if they would draft him today with his 40 time what it was, but he is easily one of the greatest if not greatest NFL receivers of all time because of his route running and ball skills.

I like the concept of NIL, I…

I like the concept of NIL, I hate the deployment of it. In my view, NIL should be to allow players like that Colorado player years ago that couldn't take endorsement deals from his skiing or to allow players to receive compensation for being on games like EA Sports.
