According to Harbaugh, Blake Corum’s injury does not appear serious

Hope so. Definitely will need him next week.
November 7th, 2021 at 1:01 AM ^
And Green. And Anthony. And Henning. And Edwards. And All.
And everyone.
November 7th, 2021 at 3:51 AM ^
I heard All was a go if we needed him.
Glad we kept him out tonight. This was ugly.
And Schoomaker made one hell of an impression.

That long out on the sideline that he caught OOB was a spectacular catch - even if he was OOB (he definitely was). He has really been improving as a route runner and a catcher all year, just solid, steady improvement to the point that he was a credible starting TE last night. Really good job by Jaybaugh to bring him along like he has...
November 7th, 2021 at 6:36 AM ^
If he can't play we'll definitely need Edwards.
November 7th, 2021 at 7:39 AM ^
Believe edwards is injured as well. Someone mentioned he’s been out the last couple weeks
November 7th, 2021 at 12:11 AM ^
Hope he heals soon, but this is one position where I don’t think him missing is as big as it should be or would be on most teams. I’m more than comfortable with Hassan carrying the load.
November 7th, 2021 at 12:14 AM ^
Totally agree.
But at the same time, I was thinking if it were Corum who broke the long run Haskins had, he would have outrun everyone. His game-breaking speed is really something.
November 7th, 2021 at 12:20 AM ^
I love Hassan but really disagree. Corum makes guys miss and I think we'll get bogged down at the LOS if it's just Haskins against PSU & OSU.
November 7th, 2021 at 7:22 AM ^
Agree. And Hassan was gassed in the second half. The balance between the backs is what keeps them fresh. Yesterday felt like a Chris Perry kind of game. But..I don't think that's the goal.
November 7th, 2021 at 9:49 AM ^
If Corum and Edwards are out, I think Jim will have to play Dunlap a fair amount, which is really not in Harbaugh's DNA, but with which I would be comfortable. I think he will be an effective stopgap when Haskins needs a rest.
November 7th, 2021 at 7:46 AM ^
The problem with Corum being out is that there is nobody behind the two of them until you reach Tavier Dunlap. Edwards has been out a couple of weeks with injury, so his rust will be real whenever he does get back. As #4, Dunlap doesn't have enough reps to know the play sets very well. So that's raw basic offense, or danger when he's out there. I think the talent is there, just not the reps needed to be comfortable.
I'm okay with Haskins carrying the load. But nobody is okay if that load breaks him down. I know Mike Hart is working hard with Dunlap to get him up to speed!

Walking boot = sprained ankle.
Lower sprain, back in two weeks. High sprain? Out four weeks minimum.

November 7th, 2021 at 12:34 AM ^
Dude, you don't KNOW that. There are several reasons for a walking boot. It may indeed be an ankle sprain, but you are still talking out of your ass. They may also have put it on as more of a precaution until they get a closer look.
November 7th, 2021 at 1:02 AM ^
Nah man, if you read his post closely, he said he definitely knows for sure and that you specifically suck
November 7th, 2021 at 7:48 AM ^
Is he in a boot? He was on the sidelines on pads after he came out the locker room but I didn't see him in a boot
November 7th, 2021 at 7:59 AM ^
Angelique reported that he was in a boot on the sidelines.
November 7th, 2021 at 12:17 AM ^
Anyone know Anthony injury? Henning? What is the deal with Edwards?
November 7th, 2021 at 9:18 AM ^
Didn't see Anthony's but Henning has his leg/ankle rolled over after a punt return 11:30 left in 3rd. He didn't look seriously hurt but was lightly limping to the sideline for sure.

When Michigan plays an annoying Indiana game in the weeks leading up to OSU
Seriously, what is it about Indiana? Seems we always come out of that game with key injuries. And the Hoosiers had players writhing in pain every five minutes too. I kinda think Fox and their advertisers are behind this.
November 7th, 2021 at 10:17 AM ^
I think Anthony may have had a slight concussion, since he was walking along the sideline. Unless it was an upper body injury?
November 7th, 2021 at 12:32 AM ^
The way he hopped off on one leg looked pretty serious to me. I’ll be very surprised if he plays next week.
November 7th, 2021 at 12:38 AM ^
I mean less than serious only means nothing is torn or broken. Even a sprain particularly a high ankle sprain could be 3-4 weeks. This was honestly a worst case sort of game injury wise. Anthony, Henning, Green, etc. Not what you want at all in this type of game when you now have very real aspirations of playing OSU for the division if you win the next two.
November 7th, 2021 at 12:45 AM ^
It remains to be seen how serious any of those injuries are though. Were they held out because they couldn’t go, or because IU is terrible and we could hold them out as a precaution?
November 7th, 2021 at 1:00 AM ^
It wouldn't be a Michigan November without injuries to starters in key positions now, would it?
Ugh.
Here's hoping for the best. Heal up, everyone.
November 7th, 2021 at 1:14 AM ^
Not sure if they showed it on TV but Anthony and Henning both walked around the field to the locker room pretty nonchalantly. No limps, not really walking slow, and didn’t even have a trainer or attendant with them. Just looked like two dudes going for a walk. So hopefully those injuries are not serious.
November 7th, 2021 at 4:22 AM ^
How do you know this ?
November 7th, 2021 at 5:17 AM ^
When you watched on TV, did you notice the 100,000+ humans in the seats?
November 7th, 2021 at 6:40 AM ^
I was there last night and there was definitely not 100,000 people there.
November 7th, 2021 at 11:11 AM ^
Disagree - I was also there. After the students finished filing in during Q2, there were no empty areas. I had less room around me than during the UW night game this year as well.
November 7th, 2021 at 7:30 AM ^
November 7th, 2021 at 7:51 AM ^
So they don't have lower body issues. Hopefully, whatever upper body ailment they have is not serious... There were no braces, support slings, or wraps, so it seems okay.
But then Roman Wilson was out for two weeks and still hasn't come back to where he left off. Dammit!
November 7th, 2021 at 8:30 AM ^
Wilson's had a wrist injury, which is tough for a receiver to deal with. Still he caught three passes last night.
November 7th, 2021 at 9:08 AM ^
I didn't see Anthony's injury but Henning had his leg/ankle rolled on at the end of a punt return around 11:30 left in 3rd. He limped to the sideline after it. He didn't look to be in too much pain but definitely was limping.
November 7th, 2021 at 1:33 AM ^
Please dear lord be ok
November 7th, 2021 at 1:34 AM ^
We do need Corum against PSU on the road. Hopefully he will be back.
Edwards isn't ready to step in at a high level yet.
.
November 7th, 2021 at 2:24 AM ^
It would be nice of course for Corum to be back but let’s all be honest for a second and confirm it was a pretty sweet luxury for us to have TWO of the top RBs in the B1G and maybe country.
I’ll also say I don’t think you roll the dice on anyone who isn’t close to 100% until OSU. You need to sell out everything you have on that one this year.
November 7th, 2021 at 5:51 AM ^
What a weird game. I think UM held a lot of people out at any sign of injury. That being said Corum and Greens looks bad
November 7th, 2021 at 6:47 AM ^
Well hopefully if he’s not ready by next week, then Edwards is ready to come back and spell Haskins.
This is just an eerie, all too familiar feeling where we’re going into the final stretch of games leading up to OSU and key players start hitting the injury bug, particularly the QB.
November 7th, 2021 at 7:53 AM ^
Just a typical year where injuries Mount as the season progresses
November 7th, 2021 at 8:45 AM ^
I’ve already resigned myself to the belief that OSU is a loss until it isn’t, but please don’t let this be another year where Michigan could’ve otherwise won The Game if it just had a healthy starting QB.
November 7th, 2021 at 9:00 AM ^
I had been thinking besides Bell we’ve been really fortunate with injuries and then Indiana happened…
November 7th, 2021 at 9:24 AM ^
The difference is Ohio has the depth and we don't.
November 7th, 2021 at 10:47 AM ^
As HC, this where Harbaugh had have a deep talented reserve players ready to step in. He has done well with the OL but there are other positions where we are quite thin. The good teams are able to overcome injuries!
November 7th, 2021 at 8:10 AM ^
Get well, Blake. The Edwards injury was a well kept secret.
November 7th, 2021 at 10:24 AM ^
Yeah, the Michigan staff isn't going to be particularly forthcoming about player health. I understand the reasoning, but it kinda creates a mentality of expecting the worse among the fan base.
November 7th, 2021 at 8:55 AM ^
Good. Blake is due for a good game. Had a rough outing against MSU and didn’t get much of a shot vs Indiana. He’s really good back that could be amazing.
Get well soon Blake.
November 7th, 2021 at 10:52 AM ^
Ankle sprain (lower) will probably take 2 weeks to heal. I would hold him out until the OSU game!
November 7th, 2021 at 1:40 PM ^
It’s amazing that people still believe anything Harbaugh says related to injuries. He rarely states anything specific other than working through something or a boo boo
