TCU is making it a game against Oregon, now down only 31-17 with a quarter to play. WVU and Arizona St kick off at 10:15.

If Snyder can go back to K State, why not Kelly back to Oregon? Would be interesting. Of coruse, if I'm Whittingham or Shaw or anybody else out there, I'm hoping Helfrich stays another couple decades.

seeing the Ducks lose. Not a program I care to root for, unless they're playing against State. That said, they could have helped our final ranking by knocking off TCU. But then again, afternoon seeing Michigan's dominating performance in the Citrus Bowl, it wouldn't surprise me to see us ranked ahead of TCU anyway.

I can't be the only one who thought the WVU QB overthrew the receiver in the end zone...and the WR went and did that.

And then the blocked XP for 2 points for ASU. Quite the turn of events.

I was at the Cactus Bowl in Phoenix.  It was played in Chase Stadium, which is where the Diamonbacks play baseball.  The roof was closed for the game, but open for pre-game when four paragliders dropped through the hole in the roof to bring the game ball and official coin.

It was a fun game to watch; it was not a good game of football.  Extremely soft pass coverage the whole game ... the stats show it: 532 yards passing for WVU, 418 for ASU.

Todd Graham's end-of-game clock management had the ASU fans around me spitting fire with anger.

Decent crowd, but to be expected for what was, essentially, a home game for ASU.

I was rooting for WVU (wife has ties to West Virginia).  I was sporting Blue and Gold in a sea of Maroon.
