One Frame At A Time: Purdue & Illinois
Before I get any more behind on these, here's a double dose of gifs from the Purdue and Illinois games, plus a couple extras from recent Michigan appearances on BTN's The Journey. As always, click the still thumbnails to open the gifs in a lightbox, and hit 'escape' to stop animation on any browser but Chrome.
Kids are weird, man.

For a brief moment in the Purdue game, ESPN's cameras captured Ted Valentine's true form:
You've seen the GRIII dunk against Purdue in the game recap, but I haven't posted Mitch McGary's latest turn as cheerleader/flightless bird:
Moving on to Illinois, here's why Jordan Morgan should be in street clothes tonight:
OW. Despite the nasty ankle sprain, Morgan was able to return to the bench, make some funny faces, and be a questionable influence on young Caris LeVert:

Here's one from the previous week's piece on Trey Burke. Stick around for the twist ending:

No good angles on GRIII's awesome sky block that was probably a goaltend?
Edit: it's here starting at 16:15:

My bad—for some reason the box score didn't credit him with a block, so I missed it when going through the play-by-play:

GRIII can fly.

absolutely necessary. Well done, Ace!

I could watch the 360 dunk over and over again. All I want to see is GRIII is do a tomahawk dunk, that will complete me.

This gentleman is impressed. He will clap until Burke stops dribbling.

Nothing has ever been better than watching that gif over and over with the "optional soundtrack" playing in the background - no matter what it syncs up perfectly.

Does anyone know what the hell this means? Or do I have to be some kind of young whippersnapper to get it?

At least according to this Scout thread.
"So, here is answer to all the questions about what is "We On." It is the team slogan for the season created by the staff and players. It stands for 'When Everyone Operates In-Sync.' In addition, we created a U-M fuse box in the locker room in which each player has a key word they focus on during the season. Each player flips their switch "on" before every practice and every game. So, there you have it. Go Blue! We On!"
No idea if that's accurate or not, of course. I DO know that the MDen appears to be "sold out" of all "WE ON" shirts, sadly...

Thanks. Go Blue!

The Journey segment on Barcai was highly entertaining and also it really made me appreciate his importance to this team. I came away from it thinking he should be our coach when Beilein hangs it up. Of course I have no idea if he can actually coach basketball Xs & Os, but he seems to have the energy and temperment to connect with players.
