Jim McElwain Is Totally Over It
ESPN asked a number of coaches to give their quick takes on Jim Harbaugh. Diplomatic terms such as interesting, amusing character, eccentric, and, uh, interesting again are put forth. I cannot get enough of everything about Kevin Wilson's answer:
The clear winner, for a given definition of the term, is Florida's Jim McElwain, who definitely does not see Jehu Chesson all alone in the end zone every time he closes eyes. Definitely not.
Definitely not.

I want to hate Meyer but I can't. I respect the hell out of him for seeing Harbaugh for what he is. These other coaches haven't had half as many accomplishments in their lives as Harbaugh or Meyer. Unfortunately, people would rather tear down others success than build their own.

The best part is Bobby Petrino who seems disdainful. You are Bobby Petrino, you have forfeited your right to be disdainful of anyone.

I guess he wasn't following the Kurt Rambis story from several months ago.

No, no... His Twitter account was hacked. He said so...
/smh What an ass-headdress...

That guy is so annoying. On Modern Family, the commercials he's in, and just about everything else he does.

I find him to be hilarious in everything he does.
Him and Keegan-Michael Key get me every time. Just looking at either one of these guys and I start laughing.

Narduzzi can't even muster a four-letter word. Impressive.

What's everyone's opinion on Meyer and Harbaugh? IMO, there seems to be a genuine respect between them without petty insults or slights. Sure, they have very different styles. I hate Urban as much as the next guy. But from everything I've read and seen, it seems.....civil? I'm sure that won't last forever, but for now, it's just weird to me.

Props to _eyer for not being a tool. It appears he gets the whole point of having a rival. You look much better beating a rival when they are excellent than when they are not. I wouldn't expect Harbaugh to say anything but the same when talking about Urbz.

Urban and harbaugh know they are good for one another, and one anothers' teams. Meyer has got to love the fact that he can always get his team's attention by pointing out that they have to get ready to play Harbaugh's team, and vice-versa. The fact that their two schools are part of the most famous rivalry in American sports is just icing on the cake.

Why shouldn't there be respect between them? Bo and Woody were pretty good friends...

It took Jimbo quite a while to get anything out...

McElwain still hasn't removed Jim's size 12 from his ass after the NYD whipping.

Nor has he been truly SEC-ified yet.

I have an opinion on your job security, Malzahn. And its not a good one, either.

Hugh Freeze should not be coaching in major college football.

That's really his name?!?! That is so awesome I don't know what to even think of it.....I thought you zinged one of the coaches with a fantastic nickname......wow.
I think I'm going to have to follow UNC this year as my 2nd favorite team.

Muschamp, Barry Odom, and Meyer are the only one's who understand. Seriously; rest of them are either too petty to say something nice, can't comprehend it, or think of him as some sort of publicity machine. Here are their descriptions, decoded:
Muschamp: I have encountered his type before, and all this other stuff is fluff. He's a good football coach that loves to ruffle some feathers, and I gotta respect that.
Odom: I recognize in him a fellow sociopath. (Seriously, his response is a bit creepy).
Meyer: You think I am giving that nut-job any kind of bulletin board material?

I remember Bo being asked about Hayden Fry- he didn't care much for the pink locker rooms and Fry's other psychological ploys.
I think the attention on Harbaugh will die down eventually- but for now the media is milking it for all they can, and setting Michigan up for an eventual fall which everybody else but Michigan will enjoy watching.

You can see them running it through their minds...they are each processing how it would be quoted, and possible ways it could be used against him.
Honest opinion? Forget it.
Just clickbait.
