_________________ tweets that Harbaugh is coming to Michigan thread.
I have been one of the strong opponents of the CC posts the last couple of weeks, but now that the season is over, and considering how yesterday went, it is very obviously the supreme topic of discussion at this stage. It's interesting hearing what insiders say, but the bogging down of the front page with tweets from various writers can be a bit tiresome, so here's my proposal:
Any tweets, headlines, etc from various journalists can go here. If every tweet gets its own post, then that's all we'll see on the front page, and it will cause a great deal of animosity on the board. Speculation is fun, but also aggravates a lot of posters.

Yes, mod.
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:04 PM ^
It is good.
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:05 PM ^
If people follow this "rule", this thread will be a great resource.

<br>One stop tweet shop.

After yesterday's embarrassment I kinda like the CC posts. Cause IMO we are going to have one and it's time for rampant speculation and conjecture.
Plus, as good of an idea as this might be it has zero chance of working. People are going to post CC threads right up until we actually have a CC.
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:09 PM ^
For the past month, people wanted to avoid CC bc it was clogging up the board. At ths point, there is NOTHING ELSE Michigsan related to talk about. At this point, most of us are desparately hoping for a coaching change, and want to see every single shred of evidence, non-evidence, speculation, hypothesis and guess that there is.
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:11 PM ^
I disagree with your statement that there is nothing else Michigan-related to talk about; what about Rich Rod's decision to wear a white shirt instead of a Maize one while coaching?
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:17 PM ^
in my opinion, a very poor choice by RR. Some, including this guy, say the maize one brings out his eyes a little more. It just makes everything "Pop!" more.
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:19 PM ^
He has beautiful eyes...
January 2nd, 2011 at 10:22 PM ^
And Greg Robinson's hair looks much brighter next to his maize polo during gamedays!
January 2nd, 2011 at 10:50 PM ^
He'd look amaizeing.
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:23 PM ^
We discussed that very important issue this morning. Once we got that settled we moved on to the selection on shoes by the coaching staff and their impact on the game itself. Lastly we plan on discussing hair products and if Rich and Gerg gell, mousse or use hair spray.
You know...the other really important issues of the day.
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:27 PM ^
believe me or not, they use a secrtet combo called "Mair Sprousse" to make everything flow. similar to Cammy Cam juice, its pronounced Gergy gerg sprousse.

Don't we have a pretty fun, young and exciting basketball team that is also currently in-season? I know we are football-centric, but don't diss them like that.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:08 PM ^
We have a basketball team? Who knew.
Next you'll be telling me we've got a hockey team or something equally crazy. I thought all we had was football and nothing else.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:14 PM ^
I don't know if the NCAA allows it, so keep it quiet. (Both won in the Big Ten today, for those who are obsessing about some other sport.) (that sport being mousse vs. gel, of course.)
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:39 PM ^
Be nice now, seeing as he borrows avatar photo's and rarely posts anything. Does not mean we need to mock him.
s/
The hockey team is about the only thing i care to get into, once the football is over.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:46 PM ^
I didn't realize someone had this avatar photo. I just did a google search and it was the one that stood out to me. I will be removing it immediately. Also, yea hockey too, brain fart. My apologies.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:56 PM ^
Sorry bro, i had a /s for sarcasm. I was more mocking the other guys harsh response to you. I am sorry if it came of another way.
January 2nd, 2011 at 7:05 PM ^
I know you weren't trying to be an a-hole. I will leave the avatar changed though, out of respect for you having it first. The search continues.
January 2nd, 2011 at 7:25 PM ^
won the B10+ Championship and made it all the way to the NCAA semis before losing by 1 to th eventual champion.
January 2nd, 2011 at 10:03 PM ^
For Michigan Hockey? I mean, come on: we just won the GLI and are arguably playing our best hockey of the year. Show some love for our boys on the ice.
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:08 PM ^
I don't see anything wrong with CC posts right now. There is really nothing else to talk about. There are no more games. I doubt the staff will be doing much recruiting before learining fo their fate. If the board fills up with CC posts, then so be it.
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:15 PM ^
Yes, people are interested in information. No, that doesn't mean every shred of info needs its own thread.
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:48 PM ^
You do realize this isn't just a Michigan football board, correct? The basketball team is having a decent season thus far.
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:54 PM ^
Yes, but at almost any time during the year, there are at least 10 football threads for every 1 basketball thread.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:10 PM ^
Yeah, but we are currently in that rare time of year where football season is over, and basketball season is the sole focus.
Until an actual coaching change takes place, there's no reason to keep speculating about the same retread nonsense. Go hang out on Mlive or the Scout boards if you want to keep talking about the same mindless topics.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:12 PM ^
Why don't you go start your own blog if you want to dictate the content/format.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:22 PM ^
As you'll see in the original response to your first post above, the mods agree with me.
Maybe YOU should be the one starting his own site, chief.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:38 PM ^
There is a big difference between a new thread for every minutiae of information and a single thread for all relevant information, champ.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:56 PM ^
I'm glad it only took four posts for me to drill this point into your head.
I had my money on 6-8.
January 2nd, 2011 at 7:12 PM ^
Show me where you said anything close to that in this thread. What did you drill into my head?
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:14 PM ^
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:16 PM ^
If you don't see the difference between asking for every shred of minutia to get its own thread, and the actual hiring of a coach being thread-worthy... well, that says a lot more about you than the OP.

on who tweets that he's coming. If it's Schefter, then you're right. If it's FakeTPryor or Kirk Herbstreit, then this thread would work fine.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:47 PM ^
There have been approximately 7 billion tweets about how Harbaugh is a done deal, and how insiders say he's coming to Michigan. For some reason, people always think they warrant new threads. This is an extremely common type of post:
"________ from ESPN just said on _________ that Harbaugh is coming to Michigan. What do you guys think?"
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:17 PM ^
If someone breaks the news in some official capacity, everyone will agree its deserving of its own post. If dime-a-dozen sports writer/analyst spews something on the topic, it goes here. Nothing wrong with that.

Did you also play catch with pitching legend, Randy Johnson?

I was really hoping for a tweet on this from the hot chick that said Tater to transfer from September.....
January 2nd, 2011 at 5:46 PM ^
Before the ceremonial official tweet from Dave Brandon announcing Michigan's new Head Coach, shouldn't someone have to confirm that they've seen white smoke coming from Schembechler Hall? That might be fitting, if the new Head Coach is going to be the Head (Stanford) Cardinal.
January 2nd, 2011 at 7:32 PM ^
January 2nd, 2011 at 9:22 PM ^
First white shirts, now white smoke. The sheer injustice of it all staggers the imagination.
January 2nd, 2011 at 8:13 PM ^
I hope it spells out "Surrender Tressel" across a crisp, Michigan blue sky.

Not to familiar with coaching salaries and such, but can we offer Harbaugh more money than a pro team will? Just curious.
January 2nd, 2011 at 6:07 PM ^
i guess we could, but we won't.
