OT - Michigan Gear You'd Like to See Again
What Michigan gear would you like to see made again? I'm itching for some M gear but don't like much of what is offered.
1. I miss the "narrow" block M hats that were sold back in the late nineties. IMO they had a classier appearance than the current ones. The retro Bo hat had too flat a bill.
2. Can we get some sweet Dri Fit gear? A small block M with minimal Adidas logos would be sweet too.
3. Let's go back to the block M on the shoulders of our away Jerseys. That was the best one. Looks much better than the current.
What about you?

if the coaches dressed up like this and painted their costumes maize and blue

Are these the new Nike TCU unies?
December 10th, 2010 at 10:08 AM ^
Exactly what Nike did when they re-released Woodson, George, LT, and so on five or so years ago but all Michigan:
Braylon, Brady, Woodson, Biakabutuka, Ford, Sheridan
All the classics.

I wear my Jarrett Irons jersey with the block ms on the shoulder every gameday

I've almost pulled the trigger on one from eBay so many times, if I could just think of a place I could legitimately wear it...

Wow... I had all the same, except for the Cowboys. How could you be a Dallas and a SanFran fan back in the 90s? That's crazy. I also had a Colorado Rockies one. Purple and black... it was awesome.

a cool kid in the 90's unless you had a starter pullover and a pair of LA Lights

forgot about the pumps. I could get net with five pumps.

I had a fucking Logo Athletic jacket.
December 10th, 2010 at 1:02 AM ^
Logo Athletic was awesome for like a year. Starter, for sure. Bulls. And Air Jordans. Obv. Also, of course, the Fab 5 and 89 team unis in basketball are outstanding, and frankly both iconic, to me. So yeah, those, but we know the school can't/won't officially acknowledge that team Fab Five team because, well, dang it. They can't. But...they did wear the same unis the year AFTER CWebb left, when it was still Juwan, Jimmy, Ray, Jalen, etc. So they could wear those, technically. It would be bold.

I had a ProPlayer jacket. Two, actually.
They were on sale at TJ Maxx.
December 9th, 2010 at 11:35 PM ^
Rich? Ha. I only got a new one when the previous one was destroyed. But, I think I went through four of them during the course of my childhood.

My red and white Red Wings starter jacket was beloved for all of 2nd and 3rd grade...too bad I looked like a hobo as soon as the snow turned into muddy slush.
December 10th, 2010 at 8:23 AM ^
I throw that on everytime I have to plow the drive way. No matter how cold it may be, it's not stopping the starter jacket
December 10th, 2010 at 10:24 AM ^
I only had the Michigan and Charlotte Hornets jackets. Charlotte was purple and teal!
December 10th, 2010 at 11:03 AM ^
Everyone at my school had the Charlotte Hornets starter jacket. The only reason I could think of as to why there were so many hornets jackets is because my school's mascot was the yellow jackets. Still, it's Michigan.
December 9th, 2010 at 10:24 PM ^
This is the one that I had except Michigan and not Jaromiresque
December 9th, 2010 at 10:34 PM ^
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!! I still have mine from 4th grade. Believe it or not it still fits, albeit a little snug. Those were the days. Every kid had a starter jacket. I might start wearing mine again, see if I can bring the trend back. haah
December 9th, 2010 at 10:37 PM ^
Wow mine probably didnt last more than 2 years. I wore the thing everyday and to play whatever sport I was playing at the time. Hockey and football don't bode well for that cross stitching on the pure utter filth that were the sleeves. The sheer awesomeness one experience from wearing this starter jacket was awesome. Not to mention hiding ur pogs and slammer in the velcro front pocket was essential in school.

I still have no FING idea how to play that game. All I wanted to do was slam that slammer down as hard as I can. Y would I ever beg my mom to buy me that?
December 9th, 2010 at 10:48 PM ^
haahah pogs. This is definitely bringing back some great memories. I actually had an anaheim ducks jacket that I would wear when I was outside playing. I didnt care if that one got dirty. I kept my Michigan jacket as clean as possible. I remember my first time wearing the Michigan jacket was when I attended the 97 Michigan/Penn St game in happy valley. My dad bought it for me a couple days before we went to the game. A new jacket and a Michigan win=great weekend!
December 9th, 2010 at 10:48 PM ^
hell yes. I had this exact one.
December 9th, 2010 at 11:11 PM ^
when I was in elementary school and middle school. Those were the days.

I bought one of these bad boys in Saginaw Michigan in 1995!! I still bust it out for games. Priceless.

Two days ago, I saw a hipster chick rocking a hornets starter jacket in the library. My roommate and I just stared then laughed as we walked away. Not sure how I feel about starter jackets becoming the new hipster thing.
December 9th, 2010 at 10:15 PM ^
No such thing, at least not in this universe.
December 10th, 2010 at 8:07 AM ^
I wish they would make something without the giant ass logo on it. I bought the "official" T online at the beginning of this year and the logo is right in the middle and about as big as the letters in Michigan.

I'd very much like to see another Heisman.

AFCA National Championship Trophy but, to each his own.
December 9th, 2010 at 10:18 PM ^
with the simple blue block lettering "MICHIGAN" across the front. They were as popular as blue jeans in my high school, and I grew up in East Lansing.
December 9th, 2010 at 10:19 PM ^
The winged helmet lamp I had when I was 10. Wish I kept that shit - it would drive my wife nuts.
December 10th, 2010 at 9:04 AM ^
I can't believe I got rid of mine.
I do still have a candy jar from the original Big Ten (pre-PSU).

They do still sell those hats you're talking about, flat bill and all.
December 9th, 2010 at 10:38 PM ^
I found a sweet New Era 59 Fifty fitted skinny-M hat in M-Den. It is officially on my Christmas list.
December 10th, 2010 at 1:52 AM ^
I've been looking for this hat for so long... I finally found it on Moe's Sports site and recently got it. I'm very happy with my Cyber Tuesday sale purchase.
December 10th, 2010 at 12:03 AM ^
Some people even used to bend them.
December 10th, 2010 at 12:09 AM ^
something about that hat doesn't fit me right. Of course i have a huge head, but those hats have a unique shape.

2012!
Go Blue!

Why did we move the prediction back to 2012?
2011 Go Blue!
/unless you mean the actual date of the game?

The Nike Quarter-zip windbreakers. I love windbreaker pullovers but the new Adidas ones just aren't doing it for me.
