Rivals does not have D Hart on commitment list...?
I have not heard anything official, so I thought this may have been a bit premature. But discouraging.

If anyone has any updated information, please do tell

always believe what you see on the pay sites... per TOMVH's twitter "For everyone asking, nothing happened with Dee Hart so far. Michigan coaches are, from what I've been told, there talking to him. "...

The best course of action may be to just wait until NSD, and let things sort themselves out.
December 4th, 2010 at 10:35 AM ^
He's enrolling early.
December 4th, 2010 at 10:45 AM ^
It was more of a general "Let's try to avoid unnecessary board meltdowns between then and now" type of comment.
December 4th, 2010 at 10:48 AM ^
He might now enroll early anymore.
December 4th, 2010 at 2:30 PM ^
A) He might now enroll early.
OR
B) He might not enroll early anymore.
??????
I'm not sure of the appropriate read of this statement.
December 4th, 2010 at 1:32 PM ^
he's basically committed to Ann Arbor, meaning he would have to transfer to another school and go through all the process involved.

I think our presence delayed an inevitable Bama Commitment. I hope that I'm wrong. Maybe we bought ourselves a week to convince him otherwise.
Could Dave Brandon get on the phone for Dee? Is that desirable?
December 4th, 2010 at 10:34 AM ^
I know DB has talked to recruits in the past about the future of the program. Let's just hope he has something to tell them.
December 4th, 2010 at 10:25 AM ^
Dee "opened up his recruitment." No one really seems to know for sure what that means. One thing is for sure, if he does still enroll early, it doesn't look good for us.
December 4th, 2010 at 10:32 AM ^
I wouldn't be surprised if Hart forgoes early entry and waits out to commit sometime in the spring.
December 4th, 2010 at 10:33 AM ^
since he said as much in a newspaper article
December 4th, 2010 at 3:14 PM ^
I think that this shows the type of head he has on his shoulders. If he does indeed just wait to enroll I think it shows that he isn't going to give up his college football future just to pick a school he can enroll early at. Some kids would automatically just switch because they are unsure of one school. It takes maturity to be willing to wait if you know your better option in the long run is to let things settle then decide. Let's be honest here, a kid with his sort of talent is going to be in the same place no matter if he EEs or not.

this is probably a good thing. it means prefers UM if RR stays, and enrolls early. if RR gone. he is probably gone to Bama in the Fall.
maybe Dee needs to make the Jimmy Chitwood speech.

the other dee hart threads that have reviewed and discussed this topic:
I looked on ESPN recruiting to see if they had a Dee Hart update, but saw this instead
December 4th, 2010 at 10:37 AM ^
You beat me to it. I wonder when Dee will talk to Tom or Sam Webb. The sooner the better. It will alleviate things a bit.
December 4th, 2010 at 11:37 AM ^
We've talked about Dee Hart already? Get outta here
December 4th, 2010 at 10:38 AM ^
Trust me. As soon as there's legit news on Dee, everyone here will know it.

#15324 not to get overly excited about a recruit who has committed. Decommittments and changes of heart happen more and more. Probably won't be the last time this happens.
December 4th, 2010 at 10:53 AM ^
You're right. Sorry about getting excited about the direction the program is taking when dynamic playmakers mowing down the top competition in the nation decide to come play for your school.
December 4th, 2010 at 11:10 AM ^
McGuffie!*
Excitement is probably ok, but the mental masturbation that happens when a 17 year old changes his mind for the 10th time is a bit much.
Until he is here, until he has demonstrated that he can stay and produce at the D1 level consistently, a bit of patience is probably not a bad thing. If nothing else, it places an unfair burden on the student. He might not be the second coming, horror of horrors, he might redshirt.
In the meantime, satisfy yourself with the knowledge that when there is solid news, we'll hear from Tom VH while the rest of the country is still zomg'ing themselves.
*no, I am not slamming him. I'm on record with my thoughts about his problems and his career, and have wished him nothing but the best. Pause and recall when it was all "zomg, he jumps over people" here.
December 4th, 2010 at 11:26 AM ^
Don't be discouraged about recruits like this... because we will get a flurry of big and solid recruits when Harbaugh comes..... guys like MLB James Vaughters. And youll notice that all our new recruits that follow Harbaugh will be of Michigan of old quality... BIG and TOUGH and IMPOSING. You should stop talking about recruits who are flaking now, and talk about the real recruits we will get... AND REJOICE.
Michigan football is coming back.

Slow and unable to stop elite teams? Stanford's big tough and imposing players seemed to do not so well against Oregon this year
December 4th, 2010 at 12:07 PM ^
...an Oregon player knocked a Stanford player unconscious. After seeing their buddy carted off the field the Stanford players were mentally out of it, Stanford was ahead until that happened.
December 4th, 2010 at 12:44 PM ^
they are soft mentally. That usually makes a real team pick it up just that much more as they know they have to play that much harder. Did we fold against Iowa when DRob went down or did we come roaring back?
December 4th, 2010 at 12:51 PM ^
I didn't know DRob was carted off the field unconscious. The two situations do not equate.
December 4th, 2010 at 12:59 PM ^
with the world? He really *is* Superman then, I only gave him that nickname because he played great and it sounded cool...
December 4th, 2010 at 1:14 PM ^
Stanford's lone win against a top 25 team is, is, is, hmmm? Oh yeah, that's right, they don't have a signature win this year. My bad. Give Stanford credit for taking care of business, but facts are facts. We loss to 3 top 8 teams. They played 1 top 25 team.

Jim Harbaugh is not our coach. Rich Rodriguez is. Minus 1,000.
December 4th, 2010 at 12:12 PM ^
Why did Bill get negged for saying this. Did something happen over night that I don't know about.
December 4th, 2010 at 12:17 PM ^
Talking like Harbaugh is our coach, when in fact RichRod is, is a no no
December 4th, 2010 at 7:12 PM ^
Uh, not a big deal, but that is exactly the opposite of what I said.
December 4th, 2010 at 12:09 PM ^
U hadn't noticed. Michagan already has a coach. But, that probably never occurred to a non Michigan fan, just saying
December 4th, 2010 at 12:00 PM ^
I think scout has it right. They reduced us to soft verbal and added Alabama as high interest as well. From the information everyone has, that is the most accurate way to portray the situation.
December 4th, 2010 at 1:03 PM ^
how the coaches visit went yesterday....at least the speculation that Dee Hart would announce for Alabama did not come to pass....Dee go with your heart and stay committed to your original choice...Michigan...GO BLUE!
December 4th, 2010 at 4:02 PM ^
I cant remember where I heard it (twitter or Jox) but due to the media lockdown by D and his mom, someone close to the family said that he will finish his senior year in HS. This could change as we've seen but it could also be good for us.
