Check This Out Before It's Edited Away
Hurry to this Wikipedia article on the Ray Guy Award. Check out the first sentence before someone edits it away.
@jccw: @mgoblog @mvictors So, which one of you is responsible for the first sentence here? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Guy_Award
Definitely worth checking out! Hopefully the MGoBlog community can keep editing it back to the way it is supposed to be. The way it is now.
That is just pure awesome. Whoever did that is invited to join my wolf pack.
thats halarious... touche to who ever did that...
Ha! Hail to the Emporer!
They can't edit it away if it's the truth right?
That must be true. I can't edit your comment away.
That depends on how you define a lie. If the definition of "lie" is "telling an untruth" then the paradox holds true. If the definition of "lie" is "knowingly or intentionally making a statement with the intention to deceive" then the paradox fails regardless of whether the statement renders true or false.
Actually, now that I give more thought to the whole thing, Pinocchio would have to say "My nose only grows when I tell a lie" the be an equivalent true-because-it's-true situation as opposed to the true-if-false, false-if-true situation.
I've seen lying defined as "telling a known untruth expressed as truth." I've also seen people argue about the use of the word "now" at the end of the sentence.
However, I would love to see Pinocchio use his nose-growing divination powers to make a really awesome thread about his predictions for the season.
It can be edited by someone else but you can sitll see it in the page history.
All Hail Lord Zoltan! (head touches floor, kneeling)
But too big for this page, so I'll leave it in my Pictures folder until summoned.
yeah i probably should have used that restraint as well...
+1 for Thunderbird
-1 for dead battery
i need to replace it but i'm trying to hold out until i just buy a new computer.
that is what she said
mine looks like that too ever since I switched to Windows 7..
Why both Firefox and Chrome?
Because when something is buggy in one, I just revert to the other and it probably works.
this is exactly why.
I'm actually responsible for the current version. I can't take the credit though, since I just remade it after someone changed the article to the original form. I believe it was up there for about a month until someone butchered it and took out the line.

Dude from June 17th was the original author of the line. Then you can see I put it back in on the 26th.
...posbang position.
I like it, but "Zoltan is Emperor" is kind of like "Hitler is Fuhrer" when it comes to obviousness. I would go with Zoltan THE Emperor Trophy or The Space Emperor Trophy or simply The Zoltan.
In fact, when I think about it, the only person that would ever deserve such a bad ass trophy is the Space Emperor himself. So either award the trophy every year to his almighty or never award it to anyone, unless some extremely lucky lady (I can only think of a few even worthy) is planted with the seed of Zoltan and gives birth to the second coming of Zoltan. Then the award could be passed down through generations of Space Emperors.
I do like The Zoltan. But remember...the title to whoever gets it is the Deputy Emperor. Always #2 to The Space Emperor (of Space).
Deputy Space Emperor? Would that be the punt holder?
"Hello ladies. Why yes, I am on the team. I hold the ball so that Zoltan can kick it into LEO. No, no . . . one at a time, please."
...who noted that Brian Cook won the Ray Guy Award in 1999. This was done sometime after bamill010's post at 4:55, above.
It feels true to me.
It's NOT true?
for experts like myself to inform the masses
Unfortunately, the link for the 1999 winner, Brian Cook, takes us to the page of the basketball player and not our fearless leader.
it is not a false statement ... it was given to the best punter not named zoltan this yr and every other for that matter
Not just the biggest stadium, but now the biggest tickets with a picture of the biggest stadium, too.
Fortunately it was still here this morning-- or here again, as the case may be.
Edit: Already said.
It's still there. No one has changed it.
