Anyone Listen to Braylon on the Radio?
Couldn't have been more positive about Michigan. Was bordering on homerism. In fact, people were texting in after the show and said how bad of a homer he was being.
Some bullet points, actually portrayed correctly:
-Said the defense is the best in the Big Ten.
-Ranked Michigan #1 in his personal power rankings.
-Speight needs to correct some things, but seems to be confident that he can it done. Would not trade Lewerke for Speight, and said most of the other QBs in the conference are no good.
-Special teams needs some work, but fixable stuff.
-Watched the Cincy game multiple times, it was just a few things that led to the score being close, mostly special teams errors.
Hope everyone had a chance to actually breathe and put down their pitchforks after last week.

Valenti? Absolutely not. The only thing he is on point about is being an ass clown, which he gets paid to do. So I am not sure what that makes those who listen to him for free.

I was at Braylonfest back in 2004. It was my wife's first Michigan game and as a former Georgia Bulldog cheerleader, she became a Michigan fan that day. Braylon always holds a special place in my heart for that game and for that season. He was a man amongst boys that year.

I'm happy with the squad, but I don't think anyone could say they think we're the best team right now with a straight face.

and doesn't seem to have any problems articulating his positions on any topic.
When he does, always a fascinating listen.
I don't discern trolling agenda. I don't agree with everything he says, I respect his experience and knowledge. Jamie does seem to work overtime trying to keep Marcus engaged with the show, and skillfully draws him into the conversation, to contribute that experience and knowledge.
And very dry sense of humor. look forward to more Marcus!

Sparty and Heisman have literally never been said in the same sentence before this comment.

I will explain it! Since it's Friday and I'm not grouchy today.
Sparty fans always accuse Michigan fans and the media of annointing a Michigan player a Heisman candidate in September. The cantankerous fellow was making fun of that.

Not really, I just heard on the radio someone say they wouldn't "trade lewerke for speight" and they were saying they would take Lewerke over Speight right now. Not sure if it was Braylon, which is why i asked (to know if it was him saying this)?
But thanks for the clarification, i guess.

Braylon is watching Speight flinging the ball 20 yards further down the field than nessecary and thinks, "I could GET TO THOSE." And, in his prime at Michigan, I don't know that he's wrong. Dude was the king of the "bwahahaha HE CAUGHT THAT SUCKAS" catches while he was here.

this morning John U. Bacon got on his WTKA soapbox to go after Speight critics. And I read on Rich Eisen's twitter feed today a tweet earlier this week that: #Michigan players were miffed with fans who called out Speight this week.
Whether Braylon was not positive enough in his commentary last week and overly positive this week, his take on Michigan's play is his take just like everyone else.
This team is a work in progress at most if not all positions, some of which are being manned better than others at this point. We have a tough matchup tomorrow in terms of assignment football on both sides of the ball. And a game like this is good for a maturing team which expects to win, because it focuses attention on detail and requires more than simple physics to win.
Playing Air Force before Purdue with its newly arrayed offense and coach is a good thing. Let's just reduce our angst level over what we know to be a strong team and potentially a championship squad until its full character is revealed. There is plenty of time and opportunity for relevant praise and criticism as we move along.
