Michigan is a 3pt favorite over Florida

wow - o/u at 20? give me the over!
Give me Michigan, all day. That shark banging coach will be too distracted, by his shark banging.
I like UM. McElwain will be too busy making his teeth more yellow to come up with an offensive scheme to beat us.
the ad hom is kinda gratuitous.
I like it. I think it will be a low scoring game.
I don't know enough about Florida this year to prognosticate. It does worry me that Dallas is so far away from the ocean - no nearby sharks to hump may mean that McElwain is laser-focused.
Florida kind of looks like us this year . . . young talent but lots of unknowns and inexperience.
No, but it will play better than their defense that completely checked out in the bowl game.
I'll take Michigan.
Now the real question is whats the over/under for the time til MSU does a Memorial Day news dump.
Taking Kent State vs Clemson and Akron vs PSU is tempting. Both of them have been prone to early season sleep walking lately
And I'll take USC (-19) over Western all day. The era of rowing the boat is over
crazy they can have a line out already. Don't even know who all the starters will be and if there might be an injury before then.
This game is so fucking crucial to deciding what type of season we are going to have. We could be 6-0 to start the season fairly easily if we just get past Florida. Then get past Penn State for 7-0 and its more smooth sailing to 10-0. Then grind one out in Wisconsin. Kick Ohio States ass in Ann Arbor. I can see it now.
W-Florida 38-27
W-Cncinnatti 45-10
W-Air Force 41-17
W-at Purdue 42-9
W-at Michigan State 35-17
W-at Indiana 52-13
W-at Penn State 45-42
W-Rutgers 87-3
W-Minnesota 39-10
W-at Maryland 32-17
W-at Wisonsin 17-10
W-Ohio State 35-30
12-0 HERE WE COME BABYYYYYYY. These underclassmen are going to be fucking battletested studs by the time they are Juniors and Seniors.
W-Rutgers 87-3
So you're saying Harbaugh calls off the dogs by the second quarter?
that would suck.
I don't care if we play there every year because we are going to smoke them every year no matter where we play. There will be no mercy given and the ass whoopings will get worse each year. Harbaugh started 0-1 against them in the worst of scenarios but only to probably go undefeated the reat of his career at UM. Needless to say the hatred for Harbaugh in east lansing will paralell the lopsided losses they will endure going forward.
I love the enthusiasm, and so would Harbaugh, but man does that game against Air Force concern me. Triple option teams are NEVER easy to play against. Navy almost upset OSU the year they won the national title, so I expect that game to be closer than 41-17.

You're crazy. I like the way you think though.
If we didn't shut out Penn State last year, we ain't doin it in Happy Valley this year
We're going to lose games this coming season and I think one of them is going to be a headscratcher, so I suppose Air Force could be a trap, but I'm not actually that worried about it. We already know from his own words that Brown is already prepping for them, which means we aren't likely to be stuck in a bad scheme. Brown's skill against the spread likely crosses over into the triple option, as well (both schematically in how you plan, and in how you coach the players to play their assignments).
It'd be nice if we had film of a game his team played against Georgia Tech, but as far as I can tell BC never played GT while Brown was there.
There's basically 4 key games to the season and i agree that Florida is the easiest. If lose that one, we should see 8-4 at best, in theory. The only argument against it is it's the opener and it's a young team, similar to Ohio losing to Va Tech a few years ago
A win though and yeah, 6-0 start
If your a degenerate like myself. This line is 6-7 points on offshore sites. (I bet Florida +7 months ago, now 6-6.5 most places). You can take Michigan -3 in Vegas and have a Florida +6-7 ticket, and a 4 point middle to win both bets.
Honestly at this point, I think first to 14 wins in that game. Both teams have great defenses that are going to give the opposing offense problems. The difference, I think, is Harbaugh and Speight. Harbaugh will know how to put his offense in position to take what Florida's defense gives it, and Speight now has the experience, so I don't expect him to be fazed by Florida's defense.
I think our offense will be a little spotty to start the year, but will progress as it goes along. I have absolutely zero faith in Florida's offense to do much of anything until it proves otherwise. And Tebow ain't walking through that door anytime soon.
and they lost high draft picks to the draft on defense too
for some reason I am not really worried at all about this game
I'm with you. Week 1 with an incredibly young and inexperienced team on the road. Pretty tough to feel confident about that.
can say the same for Michigan. Both teams are similar in ways that they have studs on defense and offense is a question mark. Florida still have NFL caliber players on the defensive side even with the loss of Mayes, Tabor, Wilson, Davis, Ivey, and Brantley. They just reload with stud defensive players. It'll be a good test for Michigan offense to establish that they can move the ball against good defense instead of shitting on the bed against defense with a pulse like last year.
Last year's team still had remnants of Hoke in key positions. Most of the Harbaugh recruits were too young, especially on OL
Michigan had Chesson, Darboh and Butt as a NFL draftee on offensive side.
I agree with those who are concerned because of the venue. I think we outclass the Gators in the three most important positions in football: head coach, QB, and DL. That's assuming our DL stays healthy, etc. Given that, if this game were in Ann Arbor, I'd say we win comfortably. But the road worries me. -3 sounds about right.
I'm slightly intrigued by the Texas -23 vs Maryland line. Maryland limped to the finish last year against a tough schedule, but they recruited relatively well, and I'm not sure Herman is going to be able to change the culture that quickly in Texas. No Foreman, and 23 points is a lot.
Vegas and bettors doesn't know what to think about us.
Fan will soon realize that we're not in rebuilding mode. We re-loaded this off-season thanks to Harbaugh's talented 2016 class.
I expect us to beat Florida handily.
