Semi-OT: The No Fun League (NFL) Will Allow Certain TD Celebrations Again
I am very happy about this development. Players SHOULD be able to celebrate touchdowns in fun and creative ways. If an opposing player doesn't like it....stop them from getting into the endzone!

Roger Goodell is expected to tell NFL owners group celebrations, using ball as prop after TDs, going to ground, snow angels are now allowed.

Too bad I will miss these while NOT watching the NFL.
but how many pumps are allowed?
Only two. No more.
Verified. AB found out the hard way
The slow motion makes it SOOO much more disturbing.

Keeping their eye on the really important issues, as usual.

I cannot believe this! The great man, Roger Goodell, has lost my support on this one. He's been the perfect at his job thus far. LOL.
Entertainment allowing participants to..... entertain? Crazy.
I hate the NFL, top to bottom.
It is really odd to love High School and College Football as much as I do but loathe the NFL to this extent. Part of the reason I hate seeing players graduate or leave early because I know I won't be watching them play anymore.
Always and forever.
Everybody in the NBA is "lazy".
All soccer players dive constantly.
What else?
And MSU is an overgrown community college?
"The Simpsons hasn't been good in 15 years!"
There's only two things I hate! People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch!
really wasn't going to talk about my dislike for it when I clicked on the thread, but then I read the OP which said basically that "celebrations will be allowed, but not this, this, this, this, this, or this." It is just a completely NFL move and enforced my hatred for the league.
I thought the quote said "are not allowed," instead of "are now allowed." So basically, I thought it said that "you can now do more creative celebrations, except this very long list of specific ones that are still outlawed."
So I retract my comment, I still hate the NFL, but there was nothing particularly hateable in this thread.
unwatchable.
I heard he is thinking about bringing Playmakers back!
Finally something he's done that I can get on board with.
These guys are entertainers at the end of the day. They have no job if people aren't interested in watching them play. Let them entertain.
I'm not sure Ickey is in any shape to play in the NFL at this point.
It did.
Get some cold cuts. Get some cold cuts.
They are just so clever with their touchdown dances. So glad they are back.
I used to be a firm "Barry Sanders never celebrated and he was the best ever" kind of guy -- but over the years I came to the realization that sport is pure entertainment. They should be allowed to celebrate any way they want so long as no one is endangered / nothing overtly sexual occurs. I'm also all for taunting, but that's going to take some time.
