OT: Can we start having Lions threads again?

Submitted by Mr. Elbel on
We're actually winning going into the 4th quarter. I need a place to vent my frustrations should the #SOL make an appearance or to express my excitement/nervousness going into the final moments of a game the Lions are actually winning and should win.

I never thought I'd look towards the lions to ease the pain. Hell, if the Cubs can win the championship and Trump is President... you never know.

it is a figment of your imagination.

stafford is all-world this year, maybe with better pass-pro as the reason.   we aren't great, dallas probably beats us in a couple of weeks, but you can't fall asleep against the lions either.

it had to be the Berry Sanders Lions. They broke their record, they never fell behind. I never became anxious. They're playing great, they look like they have Ballers on both sides of the ball; is it fool hardy to think we can sweep the rest of our games?

there was a game or two that the Lions won handily that year. This team though has something that the 2014 team did not have; an elite Quarterback. Stafford is beginning to play at a Brady/Rogers kind of level. Also, the whole team has great chemistry, and are playing with great confidence. I know The Saints are a .500 team but the Lions had their way with them. I don't want to suggest any game in the 'League' is easy but if there was one, this would be it.

They are a legitimate team this year. Defense is getting key takeaways without yielding a lot of points. Prater and Martin are among the best at their positions, and Stafford has finally put it all together (not coincidentally without Megatron). If Dallas has home field wrapped up by week 16, a win there should give us our first division title in 25 years. I am ecstatic.

The last time the Lions were this good was with Barry Sanders one year. But then they played San Francisco during the regular season and got blown out. And they lost early in the playoffs.

So no Lions threads until the beat Dallas.

No Stars. A gunslinger Qb. A very no name, under appreciated defense. A coach who often looks in over his head.. and all they do is win. LOL.

This is why I don't gamble anymore...

The Lions are a decent team and are on a little run.  However, that is about all it is.

I saw some headline in the Freep or Det. News the other day which said something like

"Has Stafford always been better than Aaron Rogers"

Come on....puuullleese.

That is typical Detroit right there.  I saw it over and over again in the 90s.

Its nice that the team is on a little run, however they have accomplished Shit so far.  Until that ring gets on their fingers, the rest of it is just talk.

Same Old Lions.

offense has been improving the last 3 to 4 weeks. I thought this would be loss but I'm impressed with the Lions defense, shutting down Drew. The offense moved the ball and scored points. I hope they can get better at scoring TDs in the redzone in the coming weeks. This team may be better than the '14 team.

I'm excited for the Lions to make the playoffs, play the Cowboys, and get the same type of reffing Michigan got vs OSU so the networks can continue to push "America's Piece of Shit Team" onwards to the Super Bowl.
