New dwarf planet discovered by UM
David Gerdes, University of Michigan cosmology professor, while mapping galaxies discovered a new dwarf planet approximately 500 miles in diameter. This made the news today on national public radio. His web page:http://www-personal.umich.edu/~gerdes/. I know this is not sports related but as a double graduate ( BS chem, M.D. ), sometimes these things just make you proud to be an alumnus. Harbaugh will have a camp there next summer

Leonardo Dicaprio is doing a documentary on Nat Geo and was wearing a Michigan hat during some of the filming. Since it's science-y, I'll post it here.
Seen at 2:04.

Rutgers is more like an asteroid that gets kicked out of its orbit, heads towards Earth acting like it's going to be all extinction event time, loses a lot of mass which evaporates as it gets closer to the sun, before breaking up harmlessly in the atmosphere.
