One Frame At A Time: Rutgers
Of note:
- Jabrill Peppers is going Norfleet-before-a-punt to keep the game entertaining.
- On defense.
- It is still the second quarter.
- Total yards are 311-3.
It only would've been slightly more insulting to Rutgers if Peppers had continued dancing during the play—not that doing so would've affected the outcome.

Higdon TD#2: Mo Ways, guy he's blocking isn't even trying so he gives him a "get out of here" shove at the end.
October 11th, 2016 at 10:18 PM ^
Saw that too. Like Moe's disgusted with the way that guy is competing (or not competing). Love it.

Jabrill desperately lobbying Harbaugh for a rekick was my favorite moment of the game, really glad that made it in here.
Heck, I felt the same way. Every time Jabrill fields a punt I get an electric jolt of anticipation about what he is going to do next.
October 11th, 2016 at 6:12 PM ^
I wish they would've changed the rules of the game.
Michigan is not allowed to go on offense.
We can only play defense and return punts.
If we don't score on the punt return, we turn the ball over to their offense at that spot.
If they kick out of bounds or it's a fair catch, it's an automatic rekick.
Bet we win 28-0. 1 defensive TD because of the increased offensive possessions for Rutgers.

As soon as I saw Hurst rub his belly after that tackle, my first thought was I'm sure Ace saw that too.
October 11th, 2016 at 4:46 PM ^
A little Truffle Shuffle action.
October 11th, 2016 at 5:19 PM ^
"Get in my belly."
October 11th, 2016 at 8:26 PM ^
When I saw that live I could not stop laughing.
October 11th, 2016 at 4:46 PM ^
My favorite is still the falling ref.
October 11th, 2016 at 8:26 PM ^
dude totally played it off like a boss though.
October 11th, 2016 at 4:49 PM ^
Was also pretty sweet. I expected to see that one.
Winning with Cruelty.

Can someone explain to me why they have a medieval knight mascot but also have guys dressed up like they're from colonial America firing cannons?
October 11th, 2016 at 4:53 PM ^
It's Rutgers?
October 11th, 2016 at 4:55 PM ^
WHY IS THIS TEAM SO FUCKING FUN TO WATCH?

Belly rub and block that guy. Defense was stunning.
Did the cannoneers really flip off Peppers?
October 11th, 2016 at 5:17 PM ^
looked like it.
October 12th, 2016 at 10:28 AM ^
i thought he was just saying hey watch out this is a cannon... dont stand in front of it
October 11th, 2016 at 5:00 PM ^
punt return Journey made me realize if I could have a superpower I would choose being Peppers.
October 11th, 2016 at 11:09 PM ^
That play really brought me back to watching Peppers' high school highlight tapes. It's truly amazing to watch him unleash so many different moves to avoid tacklers. He has great cuts, awesome spin moves, and seeing him duck that last tackler was amazing. I'm not sure how he's able to shed the first guy, immediately spin move the second guy, recover, and then immediately duck under the final tackle attempt. Simply a joy to watch. Could go down as my favorite Michigan player of all time. You can just see the passion he has for the game. Please don't leave us Jabrill.
October 11th, 2016 at 5:05 PM ^
This week we should be able to choose our top 3 and do it that way. Jeeze this week is hard. I'll pick the "might want to block that guy" because when I saw it live, the way he got trucked, I couldn't stop laughing. Poor Rutgers.
October 11th, 2016 at 5:07 PM ^
I think I like the Higdon TD1 because rather than juke left or right he decides to just carry the ball and a Rutgers player into the endzone at the same time.
October 11th, 2016 at 5:52 PM ^
Juking's for losers. Just run over dudes. De'Veon Law.
October 12th, 2016 at 4:44 PM ^
Yeah, that's my fav. He punishes the Rutgers defender for being in the way.
October 11th, 2016 at 5:08 PM ^
Denard level excitement. It's just amazing how talented that man is. Enjoy him while we've got him folks
October 11th, 2016 at 5:11 PM ^
October 11th, 2016 at 5:22 PM ^
Jabrill feels even more likely to house one with the ball in his hands than Denard did ime. Every time Jabrill touches it I'm on my feet waiting for something amazing to happen
October 11th, 2016 at 10:17 PM ^
you've clearly forgotten Denard
October 11th, 2016 at 11:11 PM ^
It's hard to explain, but the energy in the stadium when Jabrill is in the game is so much fun.
October 11th, 2016 at 5:24 PM ^
Dude has surpassed DR. I look forward to seeing JP with the ball, about to get the ball, or destroying somebody with the ball. Never do I worry about what might happen to the ball if he has his hands on it.

October 11th, 2016 at 6:38 PM ^
actually what makes that Winovich/fumble "dance" gif for me is also the little bit of "slightly dead but celebrating" McCray you can see to the far left (also why is he slightly dead?!)
October 11th, 2016 at 5:20 PM ^
that is a long GIF
October 11th, 2016 at 5:20 PM ^
How humiliating is it to have an opponent dicking around like this because you're such a minute threat that he doesn't even feel compelled to really pay attention
October 11th, 2016 at 5:33 PM ^
October 11th, 2016 at 5:39 PM ^
I think the whole DL should do this everytime they get a TFL
October 11th, 2016 at 5:44 PM ^
That's the best player celebration I've ever seen.
October 11th, 2016 at 6:13 PM ^
I have the same smile when I see Peppers in a Michigan uniform. "Oh, there you are!"
Puppies don't bring me as much joy...and I love puppies.
October 11th, 2016 at 6:15 PM ^
Also of note...
Bobby Henderson shuffling the ball between hands on that TD run was extremely impressive.

Great images. Hard to find any bad ones in this game. When MI was up by about 64 (give or take) the Rutgers kick return guy was so sick of returning kicks that he just let once bounce around the two and prayed that it went into the enzone so he didn't have to get hit again. One of my favorites.
October 11th, 2016 at 7:24 PM ^
The Gedeon gif is best watched by focusing entirely on the offensive side of the ball.
October 11th, 2016 at 7:25 PM ^
Jabrill Peppers for Heisman solely for being the only known human being that can make Don Brown smile from ear to ear.
October 11th, 2016 at 7:50 PM ^
I don't know if the cannon guys were all angry. To me, it looked like the one guy is trying to make sure Jabrill doesn't stand in front of the cannon. Because, that's probably not a great place to be.
October 12th, 2016 at 11:27 AM ^
They should have known by then that there was little threat of that thing being fired.
October 11th, 2016 at 8:32 PM ^
My favorite part of the Chesson TD grab is the fighting that kept going 10 feet out of the back of the endzone long after the play has been blown dead. It looks like Chesson's playing keep away with a small child.
October 11th, 2016 at 8:35 PM ^
Anyone know why Peppers wanted to switch hats with Chesson? My guess is that he knew he would be doing a post-game interview and decided the white hat was better post-game interview attire, for whatever reason.
October 11th, 2016 at 8:44 PM ^
I miss Peppers already.
October 11th, 2016 at 9:47 PM ^
Two for Flinching... When I saw Peppers do that live, I laughed until I couldn't breathe. I can't believe no one has said anything about it in the comments yet, it was the funniest thing all game.
(the punt return is also pretty sexy, not gonna lie)
