OT: Neil Devlin leaving the Denver Post
I know he's something of a cult hero to some on this site for his flowing locks, so wanted to relay that he had left the Denver Post. He was actually pretty great at his prep coverage and it will be missed.

Until he gets picked up by 24/7.
EDIT: Now with more Michigan relevance: https://twitter.com/dcaf20/status/746410362799480832
Isn't that some dude's avatar?
Evenyoubrutus.
Swear to god I always thought that was a joe dirt face swap with someones dads face or something.
Never knew that was a real guy with real... awesomeness.
EDIT: Apparently I'm not the only one...
Me too...oops.
Fryin up some Vienna Sausages and tippin' some cups, I reckon.
Huh. I've always thought that was Sean Bean.
wait a sec,
is evenyoubrutus=Neil Devlin.
Retires so that he can spend more time posting on mgoblog?!?!
I thought he was Boromir.
Why did you include a picture of Joe Dirt?
LOL - I always thought that was David Spade too! Never heard of the reporter though.
Lol he looks like the love child of Jeff Foxworthy and Joe Dirt!!!
is who I thought it was.
I always thought it was Joe Dirt as well. Never actually heard of Neil Devlin until now.
I was about to come here and post a snarky comment about it being a bad thread, but I was mistaken.
Best of luck to your future endeavors Mr. Devlin.
I never knew EvenyouBrutus was a writer. From Denver no less.
Although he did sound a bit high at times...
Devexit?
He has been a good reporter for the prep scene here in Colorado. Judging from his tweet, it looks like the Denver Post is poised to reduce the staff yet again. Hope he finds a good landing spot.
Perhaps they can ax Kizsla and Paige then. Ugh!
the ability to upvote you more than once, I'd just keep hitting the upvote button.
I despise those two.
Kiszla isn't even a good reporter but clearly hasn't done anything athletic in his life. Outside of DC, I haven't seen someone so inept at their job but still employable.
Pagie... well, if one can turn sexual harassment is a career boost, there's not much which can be done.
I check out the Denver Post online some and refuse to give either of them clicks. When we got the Post delivered to our house, they were easily the worst part of the sports section.
I refuse to read Kizla even when I have the print edition. He is the one they should kick to the curb.
...is the absolute worst. It still boggles my mind he was not fired when he got caught going through Dante Bichette's locker at Coors Field. If he was a great writer, that would be a lame excuse to keep him, but he is awful. The Post has had some very good sports writers over the years who have gone on to bigger things, Adam Schefter, Rick Riley, Marc Spears, and Mike Monroe to name a few. Kizla and Paige, and especially Kizla, are not in that class.
Ann Arbor teenager James O'Neil leaving the local Subway to take his sandwich making skills to Jimmy Johns.

I was looking forward to his interview with Dylan McCaffrey when Dylan wins the Golden Helmet (top prep football player in Colorado).
yo: he will be missed
yo: he was da man 4 colo prep football coverage
Isn't that Joe Dirt?
when you first notice the posse starts to circle. Showing up to the famous-final-scene meeting where your boss, the director of HR, a security guard and an empty box are present means you waited at least one day too long.
Yea, at least he was given the time to mullet over
