It would be awesome to snag him, but I doubt he goes anywhere other than LSU or Alabama.

We should definitely try to land this young man. I have no doubt he could lead us out of the desert to the promised land...

Spanky?? Or Moses??

#1 recruits considering Michigan? The times they are a changin'. I think he should get tangled up in Blue. If he's worried about committing to Michigan this early, I'd advise him to don't think twice, it's all right. Dylan Moses, I want you.
February 8th, 2016 at 12:44 PM ^
If we could get him to take a visit and then, when on campus, he found Devin Bush on fire but unharmed, I think he'd commit on the spot...

I believe Moses could part the Big Ten Commandments with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind.

I believe he could go to the nba out of high school...

Trouble is Moses wandered around the desert for 40 years and never did make it to the promised land.

Why wouldn't Moses want to play for God?

we'd be knockin' on heaven's door...

Moses is IMG, right? And we're practicing at IMG during Spring Break, right... signs are fortuitous.
Just keep the flammables away from Devin Jr please, we need him at LB!

And it's hard to get a kid who grew up in Baton Rouge. He is looking at a lot of long distance schools so I like our chances.
February 8th, 2016 at 4:56 PM ^
he had no idea what being recruited was all about. The incentives, for instance. I think he opened things up just to feel some love
February 8th, 2016 at 7:10 PM ^
Neither is Michigan, the title has nothing to do with the article.
February 8th, 2016 at 12:06 PM ^
So, I'm sure he'll have a little chat with Jim in the spring. Floodgates are now open.
February 8th, 2016 at 1:37 PM ^
Michigan should just stay in Ann Arbor and hope the recruits come to the cold!!

Your only advantage is almost gone, SEC!!
February 8th, 2016 at 2:09 PM ^
First comment on that ESPN article is some SEC blow hard complaining about Harbaugh's recruiting tactics: "Basically, it's the B1G skirting the rules again by having "non-recruiting" spring practices. Do what you gotta, but call it like it is-dirty"
Such delicious tears. The best maybe.
February 8th, 2016 at 3:41 PM ^
When you are from the SEC, everything looks dirty.
It's a Pavlovian response to any and all stimuli for them at this point.
February 8th, 2016 at 4:51 PM ^
I would imagine the staff will be extra careful about following the rules on this trip. No in person contact is allowed. Having the IMG kids watch practice can't hurt though.
February 8th, 2016 at 12:07 PM ^
Kind of weird that he hasn't been offered yet. I also think he's a heavy LSU lean.

might be hard to pry loose from Tiger and Crimson Tide territory? I'm thinking he just wants to see how the other half lives and will make his officials and then wind up back home down South.
Small tip to the writer of this recruitng story. While the college football world might know who this kid is, how about mentioning what position he plays. He's big enough to play almost anywhere except in the trenches. So, not listing his position for those like me, sort of derails the significance of the link to this story, which, only casually suggests mild curiousity about Michigan based on Gary's recruitment model.
February 8th, 2016 at 2:46 PM ^
He just wants to hook up with all the hot chicks in the office. While it's flattering to be considered one of those, he's made it clear in word and deed that he's into southern bimbos.
That's not us and it never will be, nor does it need to be.
Maybe if we are bored and have nothing better to do, we'll give him a call. Maybe we won't.
February 8th, 2016 at 4:53 PM ^
I realize that each year we have a finite number of scholarships to offer recruits. But wouldn't the number 1 ranked player have a standing offer? True, he may not be Michigan's #1 ranked player but Moses is still highly regarded at a position of need. Any harm to sending out offers to the top 5 every year? The worst thing that can happen is they all accept right?

Followed cloesly as in he found out all the goodies Clemson and Ole Miss were (allegedly) offering Gary
February 8th, 2016 at 12:53 PM ^
wouldn't he be interested in hearing from Ole Miss and Clemson and not Michigan. He likes what we're selling up in Ann Arbor

The prompting question isn't listed but I presume it was something like "Rashan went to Michigan but they haven't offered you. Would you like to hear from them?"
"That would be cool,” he said. "I’ve never really seen Michigan up close like that before and I’ve never visited the school either. It’s just a great opportunity and you know, hopefully I can get an offer from them, because I don’t have one yet.”So I'd say "Dylan Moses wants to hear from Michigan" is a little click-baity

Distance adds mystique.
If I'm a recruit from the south, I want an offer from Michigan and Oregon and Notre Dame to add to my "collection". I might even do an OV to one of those schools just to see different places.
Does not mean that I am going to any of those far-away northern schools. It's just a way to add to my cool portfolio.
But you never know, so you have to give it a shot if you are Harbaugh.
The guy I really want is Kaindoh. I was actually more impressed with him than Gary in the IMG/Paramus game. (To be fair it was an off-game for Gary. He looked like a different guy in the HS all star game.)
February 8th, 2016 at 2:41 PM ^
We used to pull some pretty damn good players out of Louisiana, Leroy Hoard and A-Train come to mind. With the way Harbaugh recruits all we really need is one and the levies will...
wait to soon?
February 8th, 2016 at 3:49 PM ^
That's cold.
But we did indeed pull some good players out of LA and TX in the past . . . but only when the local programs were down.
February 9th, 2016 at 12:00 AM ^
One of my best friend's name began with an A, and I called him A-train. He ended up getting a cheap A-train tattoo on his bicept and I felt terrible (until he got a cover).
True story.
