i'm not surprised.

I ask this every time someone refers to a road night game as particularly daunting: Is there data that suggests winning on the road is substantially harder at night than in the day? I have looked and never found anything. People just always assume it is and state that matter of factly.

And for this game in particular, I'm willing to bet there's a healthy contingent of Michigan fans nullifying some of that home advantage

Count my family as four that'll be there and be loud. I'm looking forward to this - my first UM away football game.

A night road game will be really tough . . . for Maryland. There will be more of us Michigan fans there than Maryland fans.

Well we're 2-8 in our last 10 road games, and it's been since 2012 since we beat a team on the road by more than one score. It's incredibly dangerous to elevate expectations too much after just one excellent performance. Being a great football team is about consistent performance, and Michigan (in particular Rudock and the offense) has not proven capable quite yet. That being said, I do like our chances to reverse this trend and run all over the Terps, but by a scoreline more like 27-13 than the 48-3 romp it seems some might be expecting.

Also both those road games were in Evanston in front of crowds that were viturally split. One was M00N and the other required the Dileo slide.

I know what you mean. But this team is out to change the trend on everything, including what you are saying. We will give them a good ol' whoop ass.

The past several years have really shown me how important home field advantage is. Remember when Brady Hoke's teams won pretty much every homegame? Once we started dropping those, everything really started to fall apart.

And we were 5 passes from beating Utah.
Really, the 3 picks and the 2 overthrown deep balls were the difference. Take any one of them away and we win on the road.

Michigan- 31
Derps- 10

Unless Will Likely is takes a punt to the house, I just dont see Maryland scoring 10 on this defense.

I just hope someone has sent the decision tree to Baxter.

No.
Are you sure it's not Will Likely?

Or just avoid 4th downs entirely by scoring on every play via long bombs from Rudock to Darboh.

Run to the bookie fast. I'd bet UM wins by at least 17 if not 27.

"Run to the bookie fast."
That's what a bunch of people said last week when they saw that crazy -6.5 spread against BYU. Take BYU and the points!! The spread is too high!
Now we are saying it's too low.
Run to the bookie fast!

We are also not 100% sure how Rudock is going to play at night, on the road, when it may rain. We don't totally know for sure if we'll get Utah Rudock or BYU Rudock.
A noon game at home versus a night game on the road in the rain is a different animal, especially for a QB that spooks easily.
-11.5 is not a little spread.

Five from DC area in my group heading to our first game in years. Hate the expansion but I'm guessing you're correct - a lot of pent up demand to see M football out here on the east coast. Add in Harbaugh and Maryland's performance so far and there should be a lot of maize and blue in that stadium Saturday night.

Line will probably move higher . Likewise , if you like Michigan , bet them now before the line shifts higher
