.....so my comment is near the top of the page.
If you were to visit this guy's blog site, you would see that the host of the site introduces hmself as a 14 year old 8th grader.
If your initial response is to jump down the throat of someone because you don't understand the value of their board contribution, I think that you probably could benefit from some self reflection.

Wow, how does a 14-year old line up so many recruiting interviews?!
November 2nd, 2014 at 12:58 PM ^
He's pretty active on twitter. He's also not much younger than the recruits. Maybe they don't know or care how old he is? I'm not sure, but when I was 14, I'm pretty sure I was not as ambitious as he is!

So Wolverine Devotee has a protege?
November 2nd, 2014 at 9:47 AM ^
so you can see my response.
All people see is a guy constantly advertising his blog on blog. As the vast majority of people on here are adults one would not assume that he was 14. I read his first article, was unimpressed, and responded thusly. Should I have investigated further? Yes. But as there are adults who write similiarly or worse than him I assumed--and this is where I erred--that he too was an adult.
I assumed incorrectly and made an ass of myself.
My fault, my bad, mea culpa...however you want to put it. But cut it with the obnoxious hectoring. No one likes finger wavers. You aren't the MgoSchoolMarm.

It's easy to jump to conclusions on a blog site where anonymity is the norm, especially when you see that others have already taken the lead with snark and down votes. That's kind of my whole point for putting this post up at the top..... to try to stop the snowball effect. If that paints me as some obnixious do gooder, so be it.
The direction of this thread could have gone completely different if he would have introduced himself in ths OP, although I don't know how many of us would have the wisdom to do that at 14.... and should he have to?
November 2nd, 2014 at 10:24 AM ^
interlopers. I learned that in my four years here. Maybe we need to be a "kindler, gentler" bunch. I don't know. But I certainly did not intend to mock a teenager who has made a serious effort at blogging. I honestly do feel bad about that. I would never want to discourage someone from writing.

I don't recognize Duncan. Says he's a sophomore?
November 1st, 2014 at 10:58 PM ^
Duncan Robinson is a D3 transfer, read about him here on mgolive! http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2014/09/michigan_officially_a…

I don't think he's eligible this season.
November 1st, 2014 at 10:59 PM ^
...has to sit this year and he should be a major player next year. The kid can shoot the lights out.

...he may be able to play it, and SG may be his NBA position. But if he's playing SG for us, who's playing the 3 and the 4? Irvin, Wilson are going to need some help with Donnal, Doyle and Max B taking the minutes at the 5.
November 1st, 2014 at 11:15 PM ^
Chatman will most definitely start at the 4. His label is guard/forward because the 3/4 is interchangable in Beilein's offense
November 1st, 2014 at 11:27 PM ^
He's capable of playing guard, but is unlikely to do so with the roster this season.
November 3rd, 2014 at 7:35 AM ^
Many people on here know it, but I'll list these since there seems to be some uncdertainty.
The typical number associations for each position on the floor are:
1. Point Guard
2. Shooting Guard
3. Small Forward
4. Power Forward
5. Center
People who know more than I do can explain what Coach B. does with these spots, For a few reasons, he went with a 1, 2, (2) 3's and 4 (or a 5) most of last year.

there is only one senior on the squad.

insightful analysis such as this:
The odds of Brady Hoke remaining as coach are very slim, especially after the resignation of Brandon. It was great to see his team put together an inspired effort for their leader and hopefully this attitude will continue. Michigan has failed to put together 2 solid weeks of football all season. Let’s stay behind Team 135 and help them fight to the finish."

Exactly. That was back in June. And back then, there were so many spelling errors I needed to take a moment.
There's only one site I'd ever write for and I'm posting on it right now.
November 1st, 2014 at 11:53 PM ^
by being able to write in an engaging manner, offer indepth analysis, and presents your insight in an unique and informative style. This guy does nothing of that. His writing is of middle school quality, his insights are shallow, and gives the reader no indepth analysis. In other words, he gives you no reason to continue reading his blog beyond your initial visit.
If this his dude wants to be a serious blogger he needs to read MgoBlog more and spam less.
November 2nd, 2014 at 8:33 AM ^
....is a 14 year old 8th grader so..... yeah...... middle schooler.
I learned that in 2 minutes on my initial visit to his blog. It wasn't difficult information to find. In other words, two minutes would have saved you from coming off as a pompous asshole.

and he told me he was up to 203. He will be up to 220 by the time he is ready to play.
He hit 16 threes in a row in drills on Wednesday and told me his goal---over the next year---is to get better with the ball, becoming adept enough to play the 2.
