I think Hoke just sticks with his starters come hell or high water no matter what. Even putting Morris back in once he'd started him and it was a shit show (concussion aside).

He's an amazing recruiter and he has all this talent on the bench but he never mixes it up to see if there's some other combination of these kids that might generate the right chemistry. So frustrating.

Even making he same old play calls against MSU. If it didn't work against MN. You're gonna need to take something better to E Lansing.

Our backups consistently seem to upstage our starters under the Hoke regime. Does he just sleep through practice and do his depth chart via Scout star ratings or something? Because I mean early in the season we had a number of chunk runs end up as only 20 to 40 yard runs because the tailbacks lacked that extra gear, but it turns out Johnson had speed the entire time.
