The team reacts to the unis(video)

It's not letting me embed the BTN video? Edit: longer video including player interviews. Players also helped design the unis http://mgovideo.com/players-react-to-go-blue-uniforms/
the current players are not the most important or pnly part of what makes Michigan special. The brand is not comprised of just the current players and their preferences, is is all current and past payers, students and administrators, everyone who went to Michigan and loves Michigan.

Without getting into a debate, this link provides a history (which may not be complete) of University of Michigan football uniforms from the first game through yesterday's announcement of the special uniform for PSU.
I hate the uniformz, and agree that they are a form of M blasphemy, but if they help recruiting and get the players fired up for a win, I'll suck it up for one game, maybe two, a season.
We've lost more than we've won in uniformz, and I've yet to see a recruit say, "I came to Michigan for these."
I'm guessing that the players will wear the uniforms and represent the university. I don't think anyone is excluding you. All the payers are important, of course.

Look up at the post to which I responded.

No, the OP made the claim that some people here "forget that [the players are] the ones who will wear [the uniforms] and represent the great university..." wwhich is clearly bullshit rhetoric and evidence that the OP doesn't have a very strong argument.
NO ONE here is "forgetting" that Michigan football players are the people who wear Michigan football uniforms, whether they are the official uniforms or one-off uniformz. There can be legitimate disagreement about whether the uniforms look good, or whether people really believe that the players or recruits of alumni or fans love them/hate them/have another reaction to them, but no argument based on the assumption that people who disagree are forgetting who wears the uniform can be intellectually honest.
I'm not really calling out the OP for bullshit rhetoric and specious reasoning; god knows that is common enough here. I'm just venting.

You obviously have your panties in a bunch.
I wasn't supporting the OP's point of view, but the response could at the very least address what was said, not what was imagined. You, of course, did that very well.
Now, why you felt it necessary to do it as a response to my post and not an answer to the OP is curious. Does the possibility that someone, somewhere might agree with the OP bother you that much?
You can't post iframes in the OP. There's a longer reaction video here including interviews with Devin and Jake who said he had a hand in designing the unis. Kind of feel better about them knowing that the kids not only like them, but were actually involved in making them.
The big guys in the seats at front right were basically face-palming.
Our normal uniforms were not broken, but as David Brandon says:
"If it ain't broke, fix it anyhow!"

So you're saying that Jake was the only guy sitting in those rows? The guys around him are stonefaced.

his mouth. I didn't see a single face palm much less several as you asserted in your post. A lot being read into a short video clip but this is MGoBlog after all.

I think they were the ones with a hand in designing them, so they're trying to get their teammates reactions and not tooting their own horn.

Well obviously, since if they had standard unis, there would have been no reason for anybody to parade around in front in the first place.
All of this is simply change for change's sake in order to amp up jersey sales. That's all. If it wasn't possible to sell the alternates, nobody —including David Brandon—would be fucking around with this, and the argument "it's what the kids want" would be laughed at as irrelevant nonsense.

I actually like these, and I'm not even from the "uniformz" generation.

websites showing player tweets, it looks like their helmets might be different for at least one game.

When it comes to uniformz, I'm pretty neutral. These are the best uniformz so far IMO.

some of the atrocious uniformz out there. Remember Northwestern's nightmare last year? (The uniformz, not the game...ha.)
The all navy seems mild to me. If we slip into "blood spattered" uniformz, then we know it's gone too far.
You mean real or printed blood splatter? And too far in what way?

I can't wait for the baggy shorts and wife beater uniforms.
