That's the thing...we DID make plays. Down 3 with a couple minutes to go and Burke makes an insane play to cleanly block a dunk by one of their best players -- but it's called a foul. Down 4 with one minute to go and the whole defense steps up and gets a stop but a Louisville player jumps ontop of Burke who falls into Levert, who had just grabbed the rebound, knocking him out of bounds -- and it's called out of bounds instead of a foul. There's only so much the players can do when that stuff happens. |

It basically had info like: Alabama had 42 wins against high school/D-3 schools. Mostly from the late 1800's/1900's but showed which big time programs had wins (and how many wins) over lower competition. |

A big loss to a highly ranked team certainly does not spell doom or mean the losing team is bad. I'm not saying that this is for sure what's going to happen, but look at the 98-99 Maryland-Duke games. Duke won the first matchup by 18 points but then Maryland won the next won by....18 points. Obviously there are other examples, for instance Duke getting destroyed, but just chill out. It's one game. Wisconsin's half-court miracle was a fluke, and Michigan fought back at hostile crowds at Indiana and OSU -- they didn't come back in a hostile environment ONE time when Burke was the only won not off. |
