OT - Friday Posbang.... It's been a good week. Here's to....
The Hello Post for Mr. Loszewki!, The USA soccer team's advancement, recent recruiting news seeming more normal for a Michigan fan, the Tiger's righting the ship, and my weekend cycling trip Up North with the girlfriend (with maybe a couple flycasts interspersed). I'm a beer guy, but I think a G&T will be appropriate tonight upon our arrival in Grayling.
Here's one for you...
Whoops.
scheduling one just doesn't give the same effect..
Great week and proud to be a Wolverine!
but alas, I'm pretty sure we're not quite there yet. Enjoy your weekend. Try Streetside Seafood. It's always been very good.
telling my own girlfriend that we're not there yet. She apparently isn't picking up my hints as I keep getting tagged in photos on Facebook such as:
the correct thing to say is you are not there yet...
The use of a different possessive pronoun may pronounce my proclivity to procrastinate regarding the nuptual proceedings.
Anyone that can put up with that damn cowbell is a keeper.
I kid, I kid...

Swim where and golf where? I grew up near that area.... just curious.
we'll be golfing and swimming at her fancy country club in Bloomfield. I went to Seaholm 300 years ago!
Oakland Hills maybe? Or Bloomfield CC?
Wow that made me feel super old. '19 and '22??? Those sound like "flying cars" type years? Haha. Happy Friday, everyone!
a weekend with nothing particular planned except an early July 4th party, complete with fireworks. I need some rest, dammit.
Heading out to Lake Erie on a charter boat to do some fishing. Gonna down some Dramamine and hope to get some bites. If all goes well, fish fry late Saturday night with plenty of brewskis!
It has been a good week. There were many positive things said about Michigan basketball last night at the draft. Hopefully recruits were listening.
This week has been a relatively quiet one at work, so that has helped me focus on finishing up some projects here as well as at home. The big one at home has been the first harvest of peas, known affectionately in my house as "The Pea Test". So far, we've got about a pound of them and it looks like we will have more in the coming days, a week on the outside. These should be followed soon enough by the first haul of beans and tomatoes. Squash, zucchini and eggplant - which we started from seed - are really taking off as well.
I am still sort of nervously awaiting word on this internal position for which I applied and interviewed last week. It's something they need to fill relatively soon because it involves long-term scheduling of line crews and organizing project construction and things like that, but so far, no word. Of course, I forget that "fast track" in a large corporation means a 2-3 week minimum turnaround, so there's that as well.
Did your eggplant take a while to sprout? I started mine from seed as well, along with pumpkin, red peppers, cucumbers, and squash. The red peppers and eggplant seem to be taking forever to sprout, whereas the pumpkin and cucumbers are growing quite quickly.
I actually started mine in a cup on a window sill, the eggplant, and even before transplant - which has been quite successful - we were still looking about a shade over two weeks before we saw anything. The package from Burpee said 10-21 days, and indeed, we had another one which took nearly three weeks. I guess they weren't just trying to rattle people with those timeframes.
I've worked in both private and public and no one does slow like them. I've been hired on what they called fast track and it was almost 6 months from the job closing to me showing up at my desk.
Me thinks me smells a security clearance required.
Football is getting closer!
I need to get banged hard....I am so hard up for post banging. Once I start post banging I don't know if I will be able to stop. I want to post bang in every position. Missionary, doggy style, reverse cowgirl, pile driver.

doesn't get enough recognition for his support of Michigan athletics. I saw tweets from him last night supporting Nik and Mitch. He was in town for the the Loszewski signing. Another great representative of all things Michigan.
easy-to-access riffle water during the day. The hex has started and I won't get a chance at night. Next week on the Boardman though...!
Brown Bridge Quiet Area (only because I know a few spots well enought that I have a decent chance of not drowning in the middle of the night). I understand it's really good in the private areas not too far east of downtown, but you'd need to float in to access most of it.
scrimmage soccer tonight, then home and hot tub and cocktails. Nothing but chores this weekend interpersed with some down time with my honey. Cheers everyone!
Are you playing in the A2 area? I have been looking everywhere for some pickup footy and other than the occasional game at Elbel with kids much younger and fitter than I, I haven't found anything, really.
My wife has been suffering from migraine headaches all week, first mis-diagnosed at an urgent care clinic on Sunday. I was supposed to be in Toronto for a client meeting yesterday that would have gotten me to a Blue Jays game last night with the same client but the trip was cancelled when he couldn't get back from Portland to the GTA.
At least the sun is shining and my homemade lemoncello is about done. I may get a bottle of the commercial stuff because warm and sunny weather calls for it.
Grilling some burgers tonight, going to see Beck in Detroit tomorrow with World Cup inbetween. Have a good weekend. I feel completely lost with no soccer on today.
I saw Trombone Shorty at Power Center last Tuesday. Great show! It has been a good week!
Happy Friday, y'all.
