you've obviously never watched the special features on making the 'lord of the rings' movies.
you can tell chatman is standing a good 15 feet behind the other guys, im estimating he's closer to 10' and 400 pounds. must be the 'secret weapon' beilein keeps referring to.
we've got something special here.
Kam is standing between Dj Wilson and Ricky Doyle too, which doesn't help..
Chatman looks a little small (height and weight) for a stretch 4 similar to GR3. I wouldn't be surprised to see Donnal and Doyle starting at the 4 and 5 or Wilson and Donnal/Doyle at the 4 and 5.
"Welcome to campus, fellas. Have we shown you the weight room?"
Re: Kam. I don't think he can be shorter than his measured 6'8". That's measured at Jordan, and the NBA camps. While it might be a tad exagerrated (i.e. was it with shoes? Did they add the basketball player phantom inch?), his listed 6"8 is consistent with the other top prospects and whatever they're listed at. The fact that he looks tiny here is encouraging that DJ and Doyle are legitimately taller than 6'10"
I like it.
with shoes on. He measured in at 6'6.75" at the USA U18 tryout camp. Mighty nice 6'11 wingspan too.
I love that Hatch is part of this group. He is going to be a great addition to the team, even if he never plays. He has overcome so much in life, and you can't help but be inspired by his story.
When the team is facing adversity, you just KNOW that Hatch will have something to say to get his teammates going.
and his staff are waiting patiently for you to tell them...
But as I recall, Dakich will be #11 and Wilson will be #5.
Always loved the summer picture of the group 2 years ago...seeing them grow into one of the best teams in the nation for 2 years was awesome.
I can't wait for the Caris Levert, Derrick Walton and Zak Irvin pre/post Camp Sanderson pictures. Stauskus looked like a monster after last summer.
...who's going to guard Walton and Spike?
Maybe not as ballyhooed (hyped) as the 2012 group, but still A LOT of potential. I see most of these guys staying at least 3 years too. But, if Beilein and staff do their usual job of player development, there could be an earlier exit to the NBA or two. Nice problem to have if it does occur.
That's the great part, this group is just as talented, we just don't have that one super-recruit that 2012 had (Mitch McGary). We just got used to this level of talent that quickly. Now let's see if they can develop like Burke\Stauskas\Morgan\Levert\everyone (I love Beilein) did.
Welcome to campus guys! See you at Crisler, not soon enough!
