That 502 just about ruined my morning. How am I supposed to proscrastinate without the MGoBlog running at full capability?

I worked instead. Threw off my whole routine.
Exactly. Now I got all this fucking free time at the end of the day. Throwing me off.
I was afraid the wind blew the server away. I was this close...
I assumed Nik had made a decision and was blowing up the internet. Whew. For now.
I was hoping for a big time commit this morning... oh well...
I was franticly trying to find out what news blew this place up.
Lately it seems like any time I try to access MGoBlog late at night I get the 502 nginx and it's usually resolved my morning. Overnight site maintenance?

and that was why I got the 502 message. Dang, was hoping for a Buckle Up.

If this ever happens again, this site will tell you whether or not it is you (your computer) or the site. Will also let you know when it's back up;

Could not sleep last night, therefore checked MGoBlog. 502 Gateway Error prevented me from satiating my late night/early morning appetite. Therefore could not get back to sleep for worry that very bad things were happening in the MGoWorld.
We need a secondary communication network to assuage our collective fears under such circumstances, lest I run for the safety of my underground bunker and inadvertently eat my year-long supply of freeze-dried food in one night.

Sometimes Brian just likes to fuck with people. Many have gleaned from his writing that there is a sadistic side to being. Luckily, that goes as far as "I'm going to make a bunch of weirdos freak out Monday morning, mwa-hahaha!"

Just when I needed something to distract me from having to work storm duty first thing on a Monday morning thanks to the wind and what happened over the weekend, the site fails me at a critical moment. Well, at a critical moment in my job, the site fails me...or something. Either way, I am glad it is back and that there isn't too much to clean up for the time being.
Like others, I thought something announced in the small hours had finally destroyed MGoBlog.

But shouldn't a thread about what we already know to be true based on the fact that the website is actually working be OT?

Nice try, Putin.

And not "META"? I'm a little fuzzy on the ruling here.
Either way, I'm glad it's back. Outlook crashed this morning and I need something to do while I can't get any work done.
(That's what I'm telling my clients, anyway).

My hands were starting to shake and I was on my third drink of the morning. Now what am I supposed to do?

UMHoops was also down, so I, too, thought there was basketball news.
April 14th, 2014 at 10:52 AM ^
The two sites are on the same server. One down = both down.

All I could hear when I read this was Mark Jackson saying, "Hand down, Man down!"
April 14th, 2014 at 11:02 AM ^
Since I know nothing about interwebs or gateways, I just assumed there were 1-3 announcements about NBA draft status and the whole damn thing blew up.

Does the 502 in the Bad Gateway message have something to do with having Fort Knox in the 502 area code, or is this just a case of Auric Goldfinger calling out to us from beyond the grave and trying to find a new gateway into Fort Knox?

It's crazy how my habits have changed, relating to this site.
When I received the 502 message today, I also instantly went to Google to see if I could discern the cause.
My cynical heart, beat down by the last few years from the football program, instantly assumes (in this order):
Major Decommit
Major Sudden Scandal
Major Surprise Coaching Change
Major Dave Brandon PR Oops
Arrrgh, what has become of me?

Is the site horrendously slow for anyone else normally? I have high speed internet (120 mbps) and no problems on any other site, but this one, hit the favorites button and walk away for about 3 to 5 minutes so it can load. I ctrl + click on threads because it takes so long to load that it takes dramatically less time for me to just shoot down the first page and do that then go tab by tab to see what I want to.

502, 503, whatever it takes. If you need me, I'll either be at the gym or the gun club.
