BTT Open Thread
Starts with IU v IL at 12.
Would love to be tourney champ but the extra time to rest would be alright. Regular season champs, to me, is far bigger than the BTT.
Want ILL for the first one. Predictions for the rest: OSU, Minny, Iowa - not to hard to predict those.
Schedule as follows:
IU v ILL, 12 BTN
OSU v Purdue, 2:30 BTN
Minn v PSU, 6:30 ESPN2
Iowa v NW, 9, ESPN2

I will attempt to watch using the BTN app, but I am still rocking 3G, so that probably won't work, so TuneIn is another option for those interested.
EDIT: Also...yes. Winning this thing would be cool, but it is unnecessary. As the OP mentioned, this isn't the ACC, so winning the regular season title is way more important than some silly conference tournament.

I-L-L.
I'm always a big Illinois fan, and I will be rooting hard for them today. I don't know why Indiana likes to shoot 15% above their average against us and are 10% more efficient. I'd rather not see that garbage again.

I was a millimeter away from attending Illinois instead of Michigan. When I lived in Chicago all my best friends were Illinois fans and that only increased my interest in them.

Nice free throw misses to start for Hoosiers

Indiana's jerseys are AWFUL! The off-white makes it look like a painting uniform. Especially bad with the guys who have the bright white undershirts. Just ugh.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:21 PM ^
They look like were accidentally washed with that lone red sock. DAMN YOU RED SOCK!!!!!!
March 13th, 2014 at 12:13 PM ^
Oh, Indiana.... Not very good at basketball when they're not playing at home. Umm... or against us. Anyway... Good start, Illinois.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:15 PM ^
about how to stay in front of your opponent so far.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:15 PM ^
Good start for the Illini. Why couldn't Yogi miss some buckets vs Michigan?
We're Michigan.
(i.e. they play up to tough competition, no?)

You are unable to use the TuneIn app?
March 13th, 2014 at 12:20 PM ^
and gave it all back in less than 10 mins
March 13th, 2014 at 12:20 PM ^
Illinois shutout broken up only five minutes in.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:22 PM ^
is a hot mess, and the Illini have failed to capitalize on their good start.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:22 PM ^
I hate that thing.
it is an abomination. It is so fucking ugly, it's ridiculous. I hated it from the first moment I saw it. Whoever designed it should be sent off to North Korea. And murdered.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:25 PM ^
And it's only going to get more cluttered next year with 2 more reds!
March 13th, 2014 at 12:21 PM ^
I am not sure I have seen so many mid range jumpers missed by such a drastic amount. Laying bricks!
March 13th, 2014 at 12:25 PM ^
For anyone who cares, Seton Hall is up early 19-11 on Villanova.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:37 PM ^
28-15 now. Go Seton Hall!
March 13th, 2014 at 12:37 PM ^
Now 28-15 with 7:30 left in the first half.
Go Pirates!!
March 13th, 2014 at 12:38 PM ^
Florida State is currently leading Maryland, 19-16, at the under-8 TV timeout.
Iowa State trails K-State early, 5-4.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:44 PM ^
Indiana 3 pt % now almost doubling their FG %. Ridiculous.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:47 PM ^
Now exactly double, that's crazy.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:46 PM ^
Seton Hall 32 - Nova 19. 3:25 left in the first half. Let's go pirates!!!
March 13th, 2014 at 12:49 PM ^
fashion pj's. NOT a good look, especially on Vonleh.
Of course, I write that and he scores at one end and grabs a rebound at the other. . .
March 13th, 2014 at 12:51 PM ^
either. Just saying. Coaches who have a look that says you're a dumbass permanently pasted on. . .
versus John Beilein.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:52 PM ^
There are 14 combined turnovers in the first half - Illinois has 8 of them and Indiana has the rest. Even more interesting, but maybe not shocking, is that both teams also have fewer assists than turnovers too.
Indiana 8-23 but 6-10 from beyond the arc, which makes for 47.82% eFG%. Illinois isn't doing much better, of course - less than 1% better actually.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:53 PM ^
Indiana is so sloppy with the ball. 9 turnovers already.
March 13th, 2014 at 12:56 PM ^
Damnit Seton Hall, fouls Nova on a 3 point shot with 2 seconds left in the first. Seton Hall goes into the half up 8.

I can't start threads yet apparently but someone might wanna do it for me. Great read.
super screwed up.
Now I understand how it happens...
hitting the submit button <insert pun here>, thinking it'll re-load & go through.
a double quad-frickin'-ruple response.
(Someone delete these *please*.)
What I meant to say was:
...a +1 for you.
Start your heart out.
he's wanting to get into it with somebody, anybody? IU has attitude problems.
EDIT: What's that, Tom? Back at B1G HQ our review team calls that a "good call."
My goodnes...Illinois suuuuucks.
Right as Abrams puts in a nice basket for an and-1. Still, the shot selection is terrible most of the time and every miss clanks hard and has no shot for offensive rebounds.
(Indiana isn't exactly playing that much better)
I hope we're not this ragged after a little time off.
IU can't beat up on Illinois but they always play Michigan close.. Screw them.
Man, Illinois really can play D.
Their O on the other hand . . .
I haven't seen the floor slapped once yet.
Being in Canada both ESPN and BTN are blocked. Looking for other links. Thanks
looks like they're still staying strong(ish)* outta halftime.
(* "strong" being a relative term.)
