Champions Circle Launches Those Who Stay NIL Campaign
https://givebutter.com/thosewhostay
The goal is 1 million. It’s been up for about an hour and a half and it’s already over 43,000.
"We need your help to keep our team.
Last year, Champions Circle® launched the One More Year Fund to support key Michigan players like Blake Corum, Trevor Keegan, and Zak Zinter who elected to return to Michigan for One More Year.
Now, we’re launching the Those Who Stay NIL Campaign.
Our rivals are coming after many of our key players, trying to induce them to leave Michigan.
It's time for the Michigan Family to show our players how much we appreciate them and want them back in Maize and Blue!
To keep the momentum going, please contribute now.”

One More, One More Year™
Edit: LOL…

Jim Delany is a UM fan?
January 5th, 2024 at 6:39 PM ^
I laughed...I may be 40, but I'm still a teenager

The Michigan Difference
January 5th, 2024 at 5:06 PM ^
lol at rivals coming for our key players. Not saying this is a scam, but that's how scams communicate.
January 5th, 2024 at 5:11 PM ^
NIL, the new “For just a dollar a day, you can save your favorite players.”
January 5th, 2024 at 5:52 PM ^
Is Sally Struthers available? She could lead the fundraising marathon.
January 5th, 2024 at 6:04 PM ^
I’m picturing Sarah McLachlan with a furry little JJ on her lap
January 5th, 2024 at 6:43 PM ^
My mother in law mentioned she is from Pigeon, MI when one of those aspca commercials was on. That was probably close to 20 years ago, but to this day when I see an Aspca commercial, see her name, or hear that song, I think of Pigeon.
She is not from Pigeon.
January 5th, 2024 at 9:42 PM ^
Had a girlfriend my junior year who came from Pidgeon. She was sweet. And willing. 20 is a great age.
January 5th, 2024 at 8:27 PM ^
The kids named our puppy JJ, he’s available for the commercial.
January 5th, 2024 at 5:38 PM ^
Well it's certainly written like the 23 political fundraising texts I get daily.
January 5th, 2024 at 8:01 PM ^
Fortunately, I’m not on those lists!
January 5th, 2024 at 5:45 PM ^
I mean it very well may not be true, but in this case does it really matter? We know tampering and luring players not in the portal is happening and we need to prevent it, proactively or reactively. A fund like this is how we get another year from guys like Rod Moore, JJ, Junior Colson, etc.
January 5th, 2024 at 6:03 PM ^
Exactly! Be honest, is OSU gonna somehow offer JJ enough money to take one more year THERE?!
January 5th, 2024 at 5:11 PM ^
This is a great start! I mainly donate to wildlife conservation groups and animal shelter groups, but have never hesitated to give to one of Michigan's NIL funds. These guys chose to play for this university, and are putting all efforts in practices, games and school work, so they deserve NIL rewards for it.
January 5th, 2024 at 5:16 PM ^
Which players...
January 5th, 2024 at 5:27 PM ^
Targets would be all the draft eligible juniors, so JJ, Rod Moore, Edwards, etc.
January 5th, 2024 at 6:00 PM ^
So now the NFL is one of our rivals?
January 5th, 2024 at 7:08 PM ^
Well it is Michigan vs. Everybody, so ...
January 5th, 2024 at 8:02 PM ^
Yes, this fund is actually for Jim
January 5th, 2024 at 5:27 PM ^
Michigan's top players are only worth $1M collectively???
This does not align with what I've read players are getting unless you're an O-Lineman at OSU.
January 5th, 2024 at 5:28 PM ^
Accounts I saw had the two guards at about that by themselves this year. JJ/Corum more, obviously.
January 5th, 2024 at 5:29 PM ^
If you add it up with their other NIL funds it's greater than a million, but still far behind OSU's "13 million".
January 5th, 2024 at 5:29 PM ^
I just donated.
Was surprised to see no specific players listed like last year... maybe we can use it to keep Harbaugh :)
January 5th, 2024 at 5:34 PM ^
Have to up the goal to $12.5 million...
January 5th, 2024 at 7:17 PM ^
This is not the overall goal, just what they want to get from this collective with the public, non-whales.
January 5th, 2024 at 10:00 PM ^
May have something to do with the fact that most of the players haven’t shared their considerations of the NFL one way or the other yet as we are, and I can’t believe I’m actually saying this….
PLAYING IN THE MOTHERFORKING NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, BITCHES!!!!!!
ok ok ok. Anyways maybe they just want to be able to make guys offers as soon as the games over? Who knows. Go Blue
January 5th, 2024 at 5:31 PM ^
Donation made. Go Blue.
January 5th, 2024 at 5:34 PM ^
I contributed $100 to this last year and will do it again this year.
January 5th, 2024 at 5:43 PM ^
The fact this this fund seems to be reactive, rather than proactive is rather concerning
January 5th, 2024 at 6:54 PM ^
Agreed. Hope that messaging is recognized as needing revision. Makes it sound like a Cub Scout bake sale
January 5th, 2024 at 8:14 PM ^
Just donated because I think this football season has been more fun than most
January 5th, 2024 at 8:41 PM ^
This is cool, but if they know other schools are coming after our players then they need to report them to the NCAA. That's tampering
January 6th, 2024 at 1:37 PM ^
You said report it to the NCAA
January 5th, 2024 at 9:40 PM ^
If rival schools like OSU and MSU are actually able to lure in Michigan players after the last three years, after the run Michigan has had, then shit man, more power to them.
I’d actually LOVE to hear about OSU trying to recruit Michigan players, wouldn’t that go against their entire ethos of “YOU DON’T HAVE ENOUGH RECRUITING STARS, SO YOU'RE A BUM WHO ISNT WORTH OUR TIME?”
January 5th, 2024 at 9:50 PM ^
Oddly enough (and I'm not sure if the credibility here) but maybe there's some connection to JJ and this campaign being launched? https://twitter.com/SSN_Michigan/status/1743431408922865665?t=lJmm154kj…
January 5th, 2024 at 10:45 PM ^
Just short of 200k
January 5th, 2024 at 11:11 PM ^
Those who stay...will be given a bag.
January 5th, 2024 at 11:52 PM ^
For a player like JJ you'll have to see one of the whales, like the barstool pizza guy. I'm pretty sure he just won 1.5 mill betting Mich/Wash and he'd probably happily use that to keep JJ.
January 5th, 2024 at 11:57 PM ^
or Tom Brady could create a $50M quarterback endowment fund. I’m sure he’s getting a large alimony payment from his ex.
January 6th, 2024 at 4:02 AM ^
Donation made. Happy to contribute to the effort to repeat!
January 6th, 2024 at 7:01 AM ^
I made a $25 donation in the name of Tom Brady just to see the reaction. People weren’t pleased!
(I donated more)
January 6th, 2024 at 8:31 AM ^
I just donated on behalf of Ryan Day in hopes that he also continues to donate Michigan victories.
January 6th, 2024 at 9:02 AM ^
Excellent work. Wonder if Mel Tucker is going to donate.
January 6th, 2024 at 9:12 AM ^
If he is, he will have to send his contribution it in a jar
January 6th, 2024 at 9:24 AM ^
This is incredible.
January 6th, 2024 at 9:35 AM ^
I'm rationalizing giving to this by thinking of the money that I've saved by not going to the CFP games (where a lot of the $$ would have gone to scalpers).
