Armstrong twins commit to OSU
So our conquering of Ohio recruiting may not be a walkover. Michigan had offered both Devontae and Deontae Armstrong, both 4-star offensive tackles from Lakewood. It's a competition.
There is only a one letter difference in their names? Nope. Do not want.
German and Gemon Green say hello.
That's 2 letters, that's acceptable. Just 1? Automatic no
Correct
Kevin and Kelvin Grady say hello.
That's two letters. Totally fine.
George Foreman's family agrees.
Never looked like they were interested in Michigan. I saw their predictions and it was like 98.xx% OSU and 1.xx% PSU.
Even though they were probably always going to O$U, with all of the higher priority OL UM is in on, I seriously doubt they were a take for UM right now anyway.
We got Roebuck, not concerned. They are good players no doubt, but we got the guys we want it seems and are in good position for others along o-line. In Ohio, we are already making good strides and in good position elsewhere. It's foolish to think we'd lock out OSU, but the fact we got Marshall and co is quite the haul thus far.
Bring back Johnny Sears!
(Have we made this joke yet?)

Please no
This right here. If we can land Brian Robinson that would be great too. Scott and West seem to be winnable too for us.
If we can get the Davis commitment this week, hoping we get a few more commitments to round out the class and we start to go after some bigger fish.

We can't possibly get all the Ohio guys in one class. And who knows who high they were on Moores list.

Most likely will add a couple top portal transfers as well (on the O-line alone).
Join Michigan or get beat by Michigan
It’s simple science
You either get down or you lay down.
And if you lay down you stay down.
Kick or be kickin'

My goodness, the Game in Ann Arbor better be rocking. This game is a must win, for it'd really put the dagger in...it will surely cause Day to lose his job, and the changeover is where we get the upper hand in their state. Yeah yeah It didn't happen with Meyer but that won't happen again.
Maybe we didnt sell any tshirt in their county.
Not going to the school with the best oline coach in the country? Ok

They just want to star in the next "Michigan DE posterizes some OSU fool in a blizzard" gif.

If J Davis declares for M, the linemen will follow.
A double play is an appropriate reference for OSU these days.

so good! I regret that I only have one +1 to give
I’m fine with them going there. We got Marshall and I really want at least one of the top cornerbacks in the state. With OSU’s pass happy offense, we need to be concentrating on elite corners. Get Robinson, and either Scott or West and call it a day in Ohio. That would be 6 of the top 15.
I could be wrong but I’m not sure it’s confident UM lands West or Scott. I think they’re both CB’d to OSU
They are currently but we’ve had both up here recently. Those are the types that we have to land.
Even with our recent resurgence in the state, OSU is still going to get a majority of the top recruits within their own state border. So no real surprise or detriment to us. OL is definitely a position group where I trust our scouting, development and utilization over theirs.
This comes as a surprise to no one.
Ohio kids picking OSU is the status quo. Ohio has nothing else going for it so everyone there idolizes OSU. The fact that we’re going in and recruiting Ohio is the impressive part, not Ohio keeping their own kids there
As an Ohio resident, this is true! Everyone bleeds scarlet and grey. Kids do not idolize professional teams, it's OSU football.
So the fact we come into he state, beat them, take half the top recruits from the state, and not miss a beat will demoralize Ohio and this will largely hurt them mentally, especially if we can beat them a third time. We could raid Ohio any time we'd want.
Not everyone. Northern Ohio has a good number of pro-Michigan people, which keeps the door open for recruiting down there.
Cincinnati has a lot of Michigan fans as well. When I moved here I was surprised by the amount of Michigan gear I saw on people in this area. I have several friends in Cinci that grew up here and didn't go to college but are big Michigan fans.
When I first arrived I thought they must all be Moler high school kids (Same colors and M logo) but was pleasantly surprised when I heard the amount of "Go Blue!" calls when I walk around the city.
They'll always have LeBron.
Good players, but not a big loss for Michigan.
Besides Hamilton and Roebuck who are in the fold, Michigan leads or is in very good shape with, 4*OT-Max Anderson, 4*OT-Andrew Sprague, and 4*OL-Blake Frazier. There are others that Michigan is high on as well. I'm sure the list will grow as we get deeper into this cycle. Michigan is headed for what could be a great O-Line class.
Agreed not a big loss, but it sure would have shown we emphatically kicked down the border door by getting two more 4* out of St Ed's. These two prospect have good potential, but we have plenty of option on OL.
Ohio prospects aren't as numerous as they used to be, but it's still fertile for the Midwest.
Sprague would be a good get. He's more of the TE sized grow a LT frey type (6' 8" 290lbs) and would be a great complement to Roebuck.
They can cry together when Michigan kicks OSU's ass over the next decade.
OSU will never develop either of then the way Michigan or UGA could.
You win the internet today. Development. Joe Moore award winning OL. Coaching staff. S&C. Culture.
The list goes on…
It’s sad we didn’t get these guys, because…
I love football on TV, shots of Gena Lee, hanging with my friends, and, and… and TWINS!!!”
Double your pleasure with Doublemint Gum.
This goes to show that no matter how well things are going there is always someone who will only see the dips on the graph.
Aww. That's cute. Don't care. They get plenty of five stars everywhere that we destroy on a yearly basis
This is something 1 burger.... err 2 burgers could fix.
For OT I would prefer legstrong to Armstrong
Joe Moore will show you to the door…
