New Bucs coach Bowles promotes Larry Foote to co-DC
Our very own Larry Foote has been promoted to co-DC by the Bucs (Kacy Rodgers will be the other co-DC). He was previously their outside linebackers coach.
Crazy fun fact: Foote and Brady not only overlapped at Michigan, Brady was actually senior to Foote by three years (!).
Congrats!!! Always happy to see Wolverines at the highest levels
BursleysFinest..Deuce Rot is in here!
I'm (I guess was) a 7th Doug man myself, but Respect!
Great news!
That’s putting your best Foote forward!
Larry Foote is one of my all-time favorite wolverines and a legend in the 313!
so while he stands tough you will notice this man did not... oh wait nevermind he did have his hands up
Brady is older than many current NFL coaches.
Crazy how he's been playing the game for so long and at such a high level.
Hope we get to see him play for at least 2 more years.
Interesting.
Bowles can be hired without any interview process whatsoever - interesting that he just "fell' into the position with no process whatsoever.
All the Rooney Rule folks should check their privilege.

So do you not think he’s qualified?

“No process whatsoever”. He was on staff and it’s not like the bucs didn’t know Arians could retire at any time. You don’t think that MAYBE they were thinking ahead and knew Bowles would be the next in line? He has HC experience.
How do you think this type of thing happens in the typical corporate world? It often happens exactly like this. A VP leaves and a director gets promoted, the manager below that gets moved to director, etc. and there’s some reshuffling of staff organizationally. Happens all the time.
Cry. Then cry more.
You’re probably also annoyed that firefighters are allowed to pour water all over strangers’ homes while you can’t.
It must be hard to live life without putting things in context.
While it's a technically correct thing Tampa did not follow the Rooney Rule, how many franchises pass over candidates minority or other to hire "Their Guy" without giving the Rooney Rule any serious consideration? But the one time "Their Guy" is a minority it's an issue? Come on that's ridiculous. If you responded every time a coach was hired without actually following the Rooney Rule then please share that so we understand consistency otherwise you're just being a jerk on the matter.
JFC.....
Its not like Bowles just fell into the job from off the street. He's been on Arians' staff for the last three years and has fielded some pretty darn good defenses. He was the real Super Bowl MVP last year, not Tom Brady. Holding Patrick Mahomes to 9 points and no TDs is an incredible feat. He's had prior head coaching experience. It didn't pan out great, but coaching the freaking New York Jets never does.
I'm pretty sure CaptainObvious is part of a conspiracy to post stupid shit that inevitably invokes the "no politics" clause and keeps us from having decent dialogue about the things that matter in this country and world.
Did he interview any non-minority candidates before making this decision? 🤔
You’re an idiot.
