Looks like a Haskins-type RB
Big tough kid from Georgia, yes please!!!

Recruited by Mike Hart. If Mike Hart gives this kid the ol' Mike Hart thumbs up, then I give this kid the BuddhaFrog thumbs up.

Agreed. I expect this kid to be a bowling ball type who will NEVER EVER FUMBLE.
Instantly brings me back to Remember the Titans.
You drop a pass, you run a mile. You miss a blocking assignment, you run a mile. You fumble the football, and I will break my foot off in your John Brown hind parts.....and THEN you will run a mile!
You’re killing me, Petey!!

247Sports rates him a three-star prospect and ranks him the No. 48 running back in the 2023 class.

There is only one Hassan Haskins
May Benjamin Hall achieve a fraction of what Hassan accomplished.

We're punking South Carolina again?

If Mike Hart likes him I'm sure he has plenty of talent, and a healthy dose of "want to" inside him. Welcome young man.
Maybe what Coach Hart sees and this young fella is "desire" with athletic talent. The same kind of desire that he had when he ran, and the same kind that HH has
I trust Mike Hart. Young man has a lot of offers.
Shorter rb's, it's tough to see them bounce out from the offensive line.
All the great ones were short.
As long as Jay wants him too. Jay has had great success identifying talent.
Honestly until we see more of a track record from Hart on the recruiting trail, the Jay seal of approval gives me more confidence
Why do people keep making these obtuse "points"???
I'll take what I saw from this year's RB room on the field of play every day of the week and twice on Sunday-you know, the guys coached by Mike Hart. This was the best we have seen for a very, very long time.
This young man played and was very successful at the highest level of Georgia HS football. That DB he trucked at the goal line is still, 6 months later, wondering what his name is. The young man is a football player.

Jay can be great and Mike Hart can be great. This isnt politics where there is always a bad guy.

I think the "obtuse point" was that Jay was involved in recruiting the RBs we saw on the field this year, while Mike Hart was not. Not so obtuse, really.
Doesn't mean Hart isn't/won't be a great recruiter, it's just that Jay has done that for us in documented fashion. Lighten up, Francis

Looks strong, good lateral quickness and vision. Not a burner. At this point Ive learned to trust our RB recruiting.

Welcome. Looks like Hart a bit.

Georgia boys, yes!

Nice pickup.
Seems like he's Mike Hart but....same speed?

Hell yeah!!!

I like "Haskins-type". I was worried about missing the count of fools hurdled.

Big 3 star RBs will now forever be compared to Haskins. Step aside, Deveon.
For real though, I feel like RB is the position with the most value in the 3 star ranks as RB play is so dependent on scheme and OL and opponents and coaching, plus a college strength and fitness program can make a big difference for kids from small schools without any of that. My high school had an on campus gym for athletes and that itself was considered a lot of support for their development in our area, we certainly didn't have nutritionists or actual strength coaches as some massive high school programs do now.
Love some big backs to thump it up in there.Run the Power, block down kick out.Eat up yards and clock.Ala H.H.#25
Let's hope he'll be counting the Benjamin's with a nice NIL deal.
Kid's a bruiser. Great pick-up.
I love this pickup. Time to roll over some soft Buckeyes!!!
So much for that recruiting bump from the playoff appearance. Looks to be a par for the course Harbaugh class so far. Good but not great and certainly not enough to bridge the talent gap with the top 3-5 programs.
Hopefully that changes as recruiting picks up, but I doubt it.
Anybody ever complain that you’re just too pleasant?
RB is a position that stars really don't matter as much as other positions. Would rather have a 5 star CB them RB anyday.
Yeah because those five star running backs we’ve had here have worked out so well and all…we should totally stay away from 3 and 4 stars.
🤔 Did we just find Maizen's 11-year old burner account?
Yeah, like that 3* they converted from LB, Haskins. How're we ever gonna beat OSU with that guy?
Even accepting your premise, anyone that ever expected we would recruit at the same level as Bama and GA is fooling themselves. That will never happen under Harbaugh or any conceivable coach. top ten is our ceiling
So every back that is a bigger back is going to be Haskins type? Come on Haskins is a legit 6 foot this guy is probably 5 feet 9 inches and already 225 230lbs. So no he isn't Haskins like. He is the bigger back we want to go with a lighting back. It looks like we want a fast, quick back and a quick bruiser back so when we get leads or want to control the clock we rely upon these types of guys. I hope though he gets the production of Haskins.
This kid looks like a beast! I have no complaints of our RB play during the Harbaugh regime. The fact this was a Mike Hart recruit also makes me very excited!
I watched his highlights. My observations:
+ patient letting blocks set up
+ seems to make the right reads finding the hole
+ has some explosion when he hits the hole
+ good hands catching the ball out of the backfield
o not a burner but enough speed to move the chains
o not sure about the competition level in those hightlights
- runs too straight up and down and will get killed doing that in the big ten
- he doesn't seem to take much contact in most of his highlights and when he does he goes down fairly quickly
- goes east-west too much at times and doesn't have the speed to get away with that in the Big Ten
Probably a developmental type player. Will be interesting to see how he turns out.
First two things you put are huge for this offense to succeeded. We all saw that this year.
We must have watched different film.
The kid I saw sinks his hips and cuts until he's in the open field. He never went down on first contact (unless it was from behind). He mostly kept his shoulders square to LOS (unless the play called for something else) and was always looking to get upfield.
In the first two minutes alone he broke more than 10 tackles, often brushing defenders aside without losing momentum.
He's shorter than Haskins and he lacks breakaway speed. Honestly, he reminds of the kind of RB that gets 1,500 yards every year at Wisconsin.

Really? I was actually impressed at how fast he got vertical. As soon as he got to the 2nd level, dude was running perpendicular to the LoS
He looks here to have good quickness and decent speed, those pursuers aren't looking likely to pull Hill down from behind!
Great news. Welcome and congratulations Benjamin ! Looking forward to watching you play.
He's a beast. Ohio State won't even wait until the fourth quarter to quit with this guy pounding their will out of them.
Love it! GO BLUE!!!
