Clinkscale praised by 90’s rapper Luke Campbell
Man, I remember listening to 2 Live Crew college, and their association with “The U” back then. Funny segment on WTKA this morning!

I got this mixed up with the 7th Floor Crew “hip hop group” from Miami.
I have been waiting on pins and needles for 2 Live Crew to endorse our Defensive Backs coach for almost 30 years.
My wish has been fulfilled. Finally.
"Me and my homies like to play this game, some call it Amtrak, some call it the train. . .we all would line up in a single file line, and take our turns wax. . . " I forget the rest of the lyrics
...in girls behinds.
Yo this Marquis baby are you down with it?
Luther?
That gives "Throw that D" whole new meaning. Who knew Luther was all about the secondary.
Finally we'll now be able to recruit on an equal footing with Ohio State because kids who were born in 2004 will be able to relate to '90s rappers.
I lived in Miami for several years. People up here don't realize that Luke is very influential in the youth and high school sports scene. After his rap career faded he used his money and influence to help bolster youth football leagues in the poorest parts of the city which is where the Uncle Luke moniker came from. Having a guy like that in your corner will definitely help gain inroads into the Miami high school football scene.
Good to know.
OK I'll take the L and consider myself educated.

Last time I checked he was coaching at a high school :

Uncle Luke has definitely done some great things with respect to high school football and giving back to his community, but I'm still wary of him becoming too closely associated with a college program. Let's say he has some history in this area.
Knew this would be a reply sooner or later. High school coaches of kids today probably do not share your view. Kids of today may not share your view.
Dry the baby off and don't it out with the bath water.
Do wa Diddy, Diddy dum Diddy do, Don!
Good Old Luke Skywalker, founder of the rap you'd play at low volumes when your parents were home because you were terrified they would hear it.
2 Live crew!
2 Live Crew produced some classics.
Me So Horny, The F—k Shop, We Want Some Pu—y, Pretty Woman…these guys were true feminists.
Sounds like they won't be having Ani Difranco open up for them anytime soon.
Banned in the USA was entertaining.
They certainly had their issues, but on the other hand, they were the driving force behind the "Parental Advisory: Explicit Content" labels that let kids know which albums were cool, so it's not all bad.
Chris Webber mentioned on the All The Smoke podcast how his U of Detroit visit was one of his favorite college visits because Luke Skywalker happened to be throwing a party down the hall from the hotel room he was put up in Downtown Detroit
