Best of luck to him
January 30th, 2021 at 4:02 PM ^
Great school and has a shot to be a feature back. Don’t blame him at all. Good luck going man.
January 30th, 2021 at 4:03 PM ^
Sometimes I wonder if Chip and Joanna Gaines could do a better job of rebuilding UCLA than Chip Kelly.
Best of luck ZC. The way it worked out here still stings. Stay healthy and prosper.
January 30th, 2021 at 4:12 PM ^
Chip Gaines is a dork. He couldn’t do anything without Joanna.
January 30th, 2021 at 4:26 PM ^
As highly as I think of myself, there’s a lot that I could not have accomplished without my wife so I guess call me a dork too.
January 30th, 2021 at 5:48 PM ^
What?! He’s super capable. Don't know how you could arrive at that even if you hate his personality. Which I don’t get either.
January 30th, 2021 at 4:04 PM ^
Neet!
January 30th, 2021 at 4:05 PM ^
Great success to you Zach. Sorry it didn't work out for you in Ann Arbor.
Perhaps too many referred to you as Charboneet!
January 30th, 2021 at 6:16 PM ^
I went to the UM vs Bama Citrus Bowl. Although there were a lot of Roll Tide fans around me, there was this one lady who traveled from Michigan. The whole game she kept cheering "c'mon Chardonet!" like he was a bottle of wine.
January 30th, 2021 at 4:12 PM ^
Does this officially make Michigan-to-UCLA a pipeline? Asiasi, Speight, now Charbonnet.
January 30th, 2021 at 4:53 PM ^
Every time we pull a kid from Cali my mind always goes to “ok well he’ll head back home in a year or two”
Best of luck to him

Fargas
January 30th, 2021 at 9:48 PM ^
Hopefully it works out better for Zach than the others
January 30th, 2021 at 4:13 PM ^
Fine. See if we care that he now has beaches, 70 degrees and blonde cheerleaders to deal with.
January 30th, 2021 at 9:03 PM ^
my old stomping grounds
January 30th, 2021 at 4:23 PM ^
I used to live in Westwood. The girls are fine. The weather is amazing. The beaches feel forever away because of traffic.
This is the best reason to live there. And there is and In-N-Out a block away.
Beat of luck to ZC.

In-N-Out is the most overrated burger and fries in the world.
January 30th, 2021 at 5:43 PM ^
Amazing prices.
As a longtime Texas resident, I still contend Whattaburger is the most overrated large non-BK/McD burger chain for what you actually eat.
January 30th, 2021 at 7:58 PM ^
I think what a burger is awesome. Spicy ketchup, legit.
January 31st, 2021 at 11:56 AM ^
My wife is from Texas and calls it Water Burger.
January 30th, 2021 at 6:51 PM ^
In-n-Out Burgers are pretty good (animal style), but the fries are the worst in the business.
January 30th, 2021 at 7:02 PM ^
They're good burgers Walter.
January 30th, 2021 at 4:21 PM ^
Good for him. He is good enough to be a lead back somewhere and our backfield is very crowded. He's an elite blocker who had over 5 ypc on 168 carries in his two years at Michigan. UCLA is getting a very good back.
January 30th, 2021 at 5:21 PM ^
Backfield was very crowded. Evans is gone, Turner is gone, right now we have two true freshmen (however talented) on the two-deep. One twisted ankle and we're looking at walk-ons.
Having said that, best of luck to ZC.
January 30th, 2021 at 5:35 PM ^
Eh, I really don't think it's a problem. RB is an instant-impact position that doesn't need to be coached up as much as others. It's why we saw Mike Hart and Zach Charbonnet come in and start immediately, and why Chris Evans made an immediate impact in 2016. Between Haskins, Corum, Edwards, and Dunlap (our other 4* RB recruit), we should be fine. I doubt many teams are 5 deep at any position.
January 30th, 2021 at 6:15 PM ^
How do we have 2 true freshman on the 2 deep when we have Haskins?
January 30th, 2021 at 4:23 PM ^
Not surprised. Good luck buddy, we barely knew yee!
January 30th, 2021 at 4:30 PM ^
Damn..wish it had worked out in AA. I think this dude is super talented.
January 30th, 2021 at 4:35 PM ^
Are they going to give him Justin Fargas’ number?
January 30th, 2021 at 5:08 PM ^
Maybe if he had gone to USC they might have, Fargas transferred to USC.
January 30th, 2021 at 5:28 PM ^
Well technically it is still possible to give him Fargas' number at a different school but it doesn't carry the same weight as a punchline :)
January 30th, 2021 at 6:09 PM ^
USC, UCLA ... what's the difference?
January 30th, 2021 at 7:59 PM ^
About 20k
January 30th, 2021 at 5:15 PM ^
Really wish it would have worked out but best of luck to the young man. For some reason transferring to UCLA stings less than a lot of other destinations.
January 30th, 2021 at 5:29 PM ^
He had great agility and balance. But has no top end speed. Good luck to him, but he was never going to be a star here.
January 30th, 2021 at 5:33 PM ^
Jesus, more like University of Sloppy Seconds
January 30th, 2021 at 5:40 PM ^
UCLA is adopting the Mac system.
M - Move In
A - After
C - Completion
January 30th, 2021 at 5:35 PM ^
Best of luck to him.
I just don't understand our player usage, among other things. What a dysfunctional football team we root for.
January 30th, 2021 at 5:38 PM ^
Michigan repaying the state of California for the Ty Isaac transfer.
January 30th, 2021 at 5:39 PM ^
Good choice
January 30th, 2021 at 6:04 PM ^
Pouring a nice glass of Le’Charbonnet in honor of this young man. Best of Luck
January 30th, 2021 at 6:17 PM ^
solid all around back. hopefully, he will get the playing time he desires.
January 30th, 2021 at 6:30 PM ^
California pulling another California kid back home.
January 30th, 2021 at 6:33 PM ^
He will be the lead back and probably rush for 2000 yards and win the Heisman.
January 30th, 2021 at 7:12 PM ^
So what was the deal with him this past season? I know the OL was a mess. But he only got scraps after the first game; based on his first season, he's gotta be better than that. You don't need to have top-end speed to be a good, reliable back. Haskins isn't a burner either.
January 30th, 2021 at 11:33 PM ^
He played well his Freshmen year, until he got injured late in the season. After the injury he never looked the same this past season. I think the lack of an OL blocking played a role but he may have lost some of his quickness. I think he will do much better as the featured back instead of playing every 4th or 5th down.
January 30th, 2021 at 7:44 PM ^
Good luck to him. I think he'll be good at UCLA and hopefully he can remain healthy and productive.
