This is hell
September 21st, 2019 at 2:54 PM ^
Look on the bright side, at least David Koch is dead.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:06 PM ^
I guess M getting embarrassed on national TV is a good enough excuse for you being a terrible person.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:08 PM ^
David Koch was a terrible person
Too bad his brother didn't go with him, and about 60 years earlier
September 21st, 2019 at 3:11 PM ^
You have zero idea of what you are saying, it's clear you live in a bubble and therefore believe whatever your preferred opinion source says. And terrible people are those that wish others death, simply because they have different opinions than they do. Congrats
September 21st, 2019 at 4:58 PM ^
Pharaoh of Filth, you are truly a piece of shit human being. The fact that you would say something like that over presumably political differences is disgusting. Fuck off.
November 30th, 2019 at 9:55 PM ^
The same Koch’s how give millions per year to charity? I’m sure you’ve done more good in your life. What kind of a fucktard celebrates another’s death because of politics. Do better, ass clown.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:11 PM ^
Wolverine1987 seems to have a lot of sympathy for the rich.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:15 PM ^
I have a lack of sympathy for people that wish death on their political opponents. I guess that's what stands out to you though
November 30th, 2019 at 9:56 PM ^
You think it’s great when rich people die, or just rich people you disagree with?
September 21st, 2019 at 2:54 PM ^
You are taking this way too far. This is one, truly awful loss.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:05 PM ^
Serious question. Do you really believe this?
September 21st, 2019 at 3:11 PM ^
Unfortunately he, and many, many others do
September 21st, 2019 at 3:11 PM ^
Fair question. Yes, I am serious. Michigan is definitely more than just a helmet, a stadium, and a fight song. Of course the all-time tradition is fantastic. But Michigan has knocked on the door at times on the Harbaugh era, and we are certainly far better off now than we were under the previous two resumes. Is it time to change the coaches? Perhaps, but we a perennial top 15 program is not just their past...
September 21st, 2019 at 3:14 PM ^
perennial top 15 program half the time. The other years perennial top 50.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:19 PM ^
We are an ok team. That's it. Just ok. Given our resources and history, we should be better than that.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:20 PM ^
My question really was do you believe this is only one bad loss? Not whether we’re just a helmet, a stadium and a song?
September 21st, 2019 at 3:15 PM ^
8-4 on the season is the ceiling. losses to Ohio, PSU, ND. MSU looking 50/50.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:27 PM ^
Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Iowa all look like very likely losses. Nothing I've seen through the first 3 games has me believing that Maryland or Indiana are guaranteed wins either. This team is going to have to learn a lot and show a shit ton of resilience if they're going to make a bowl game.
September 21st, 2019 at 2:55 PM ^
It's a sic helmet though.

Team hasn't won a championship since 04. I'm glad some of the fanbase is starting to wake up.
September 21st, 2019 at 2:57 PM ^
Nothing changes until empty seats start showing up on Saturdays and people quit buying merch.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:01 PM ^
BOYCOTT these fucking losers
September 21st, 2019 at 2:57 PM ^
I cant help but agree with you. We are a program and a fanbase obsessed with image. The University of Michigan is an amazing institution but know body cares about that when it comes to the athletic department. We need to change how we do business on the football field and basketball court we will eventually become Army and Navy...relics of the past.
Edit: I have been drinking heavily
September 21st, 2019 at 2:57 PM ^
"we" even stole the helmet from Princeton
September 21st, 2019 at 2:57 PM ^
When did Patterson become soooooo bad? He had some excellent moments last year. WTF is happening?
September 21st, 2019 at 2:59 PM ^
Same thing as Gardner. Asinine coaching.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:00 PM ^
Michigan is poison.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:02 PM ^
Buy the recruits, win the games. Not rocket surgery.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:10 PM ^
Thinking this is a problem with not having enough talent is dumb. They have blue chip players, not as many as Ohio State, Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, or Georgia but enough that they have no business looking like a tire fire. The coaches have failed. They're around the 10th most talented team in the country. When your program never over-performs the talent level that they recruit, it's the coaches.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:02 PM ^
Michigan football generates as much revenue as any program in the country. I think we are more than "a helmet, a stadium, and a song." There is so much potential at UM, which is what makes this so frustrating.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:15 PM ^
Point taken. You can add money as the fourth thing we are.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:02 PM ^
don't feed the trolls guys... christ
September 21st, 2019 at 3:03 PM ^
This team is full of whiny, self entitled losers.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:06 PM ^
Actually very well put. And very true.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:07 PM ^
So tear the stadium down, Put tweety bird on the helmets, and change the song "Work" by Rihanna.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:10 PM ^
Why does Ann arbor have a tavistock building ?
Is the Michigan fan base just one giant social engineering experiment?
Seriously, look up tavistock..
September 21st, 2019 at 3:11 PM ^
Throw all the money into basketball and watch the chips pile up. Its over for football
September 21st, 2019 at 3:13 PM ^
Oh, so that 10 win season in 2018 didn't matter?
How about making a NY6 Bowl in 2016 with 10 wins?
The Rose Bowls under Carr?
We sucked today, but we've done some pretty damn good things (outside of a handful of seasons, 2008, 2014)
September 21st, 2019 at 3:17 PM ^
Yes, the ten win season in 2018 didn’t matter. It was a fraud.
Didnt you watch the last three games?
September 21st, 2019 at 3:17 PM ^
It’s true. What can we do though? What hire could have been better than Harbaugh? That was the best hire at the time. He was the hottest coach on the market. There isn’t a coach that compares to that kind of promise right now.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:19 PM ^
We’ve wasted the best O line we’ve had in 10 years. At least we could run last year. Not sure where we go from here but a lot of our weaknesses have been in the open all season. We have below average DTs and average DEs. We are high risk, high reward and fundamentally unsound. We need to go full Big12 rest of season. Our strength is our WRs....use them before they bolt.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:20 PM ^
The better question is, when am I going to emotionally detach myself from this program?
I chose this program to be different. I grew up in the heart of Ohio. I wanted to be different as a kid. Root for the other guys. Fuck running in the same pack, I'm different.
Oh how easy it would have been had I chose otherwise. But now I'm stuck, and have been for years. Unknowingly, as a child, I doomed myself to be a fan of mediocrity. And due to some unknown, undying fucking loyalty, I'm still here. I'm here every single year, subconsciously preparing myself to have my heart broken and my ego embarrassed.
I fucking identify myself with this shit, these colors, these helmets, these songs. Why? I didn't even fucking attend Michigan as a school. Why the fuck did I do this? I literally wait all year just to be fucked over in the fall. I have no control over something that has the power to make or break my own happiness. I have a fucking problem. One that runs deeper than colors or songs or helmets or coaches. It's, quite frankly, embarrassing to associate myself so closely with something that I've never been a part of which can't even be masked with "winning" as a reason for following them.
This team isn't pathetic for losing in one of the worst fucking games I've ever seen. I'm pathetic for being so emotionally affected by it.
See you guys next week. As part of my masochistic routine that will inevitably continue for the rest of my life.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:26 PM ^
To be completely honest, I have no idea why you would continue to do this to yourself as someone who didn't go to school at M. You got zero of the perks and all of the worst. Those of us who went at least got a world-class education. Granted, us graduates also probably have developed traumatic stress disorders or a substance abuse issues or general "I want to vomit off my skin" feelings after days like today... but we got an awesome education.
In other words: I actually don't have it worse than you today. There's one person in the world about whom I can say that. Thank you very much <3
September 21st, 2019 at 3:36 PM ^
Apparently you haven’t been a fan for long as this is not the worst loss I’ve seen. Frustrating? Yes. End of the world? No. Go take your cheery self to another team if you choose. You’re free to do so.
September 21st, 2019 at 4:21 PM ^
Can't disagree. How long since we won a Big 10 outright? National title?-1997. We need a stud at QB, running back, stellar OL. That's the Ohio State way of offense.
Harbaugh in year 5 is a dud. We'll end up 6 and 6 this season, maybe 7 and 5. Yep, will be lucky to get a bowl birth.
Very sad state of affairs in Michigan football.
