the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

Another year of embarassing safety play. Sure Kovacs is a good story and all, but good stories still can't cover deep receivers. Until the safeties in particular are addressed, the defense will continue to lose close games. |

meyer already made his first grave mistake. http://www.cantonrep.com/sports/x715336500/Buckeyes-Spartans-recruiting-war-heating-up Already pissing off past coaches sounds familiar for some reason. |

As of right now with their current commits, osu is 3 players over their limit. It'll be interesting who meyer "dismisses" before fall practice. They also have a FOIA case that they are very concerned about that shows ted sarniak is a booster and they covered up the emails they are so desperately trying to hide now back in the 2007 "investigation." osu is hardly out of the woods with the NCAA and I'm calling it now. They get a 3rd COI meeting before next season ends. |

A small article on Shrine game practice with a few B1G notables and one very recognizable name right on top. Edit: just got beat to it, oh well. |
| 1 year 22 weeks ago | If osu ends up with nothing |
If osu ends up with nothing then what happens to Oregon for buying recruits and UNC? Miami goes free and USC most likely wins a court case, deservedly so, against the NCAA. Who in the nation will accept any kind of sanctions after all that? If you were an AD at any other school in America, would you cooperate 1% or accept anything levied against one of your program? What in the hell would be the use of having college football anymore instead of the NFL creating it's own developemental league? This series of events will lead to major changes. |
| 1 year 23 weeks ago | Auburn, osu, and Oregon all |
Auburn, osu, and Oregon all were caught and although we don't know everything about Oregon yet, signs point to all 3 being let off. Getting "caught" is now a minor inconvenience rather than a reason for true concern. A little plausible deniability as they call it, maybe a scapegoat goes down and the school uses the millions from all the cheating to hire another big money coach and nothing really changes. If you believe the SEC is headed for a collective downfall, you're in for a huge disappointing surprise. |
| 1 year 23 weeks ago | It's still happening in |
It's still happening in columbus as we type and despite this season seems to be working for them. The NCAA will be completely powerless to stop it after they let osu off the hook and I won't be surprised to see a USC lawsuit pop up. Cheating is now the rule, not the isolated exception. It's play by the new rules or become ND. |

Can we at least drop the "at home sitting on the couch" garbage? Can anyone point out an intact couch in East Lansing after last night? It is physically impossible to sit on a couch in EL after the greatest SPARTY NO moment to date. |

| 1 year 25 weeks ago | So are we advocating that |
So are we advocating that Michigan begins to recruit like tressel did with unmarked envelopes full of cash and a free for all both on and off the field. Meyer also left amid his player accused of and being investigated for taking $100,000. It won't be long before osu is staring down the barrel of a 4th?!!! COI meeting. Hell, they're already up to 3 in less than 5 years, what's one more, amirite? If the NCAA does nothing after 3 meetings well within the time limit of repeat offender, there will never be another hearing again. Great thing is the next COI meeting is in December and it'll be 6-8 weeks until sanctions come out, well after signing day. |
| 1 year 26 weeks ago | Can Miles have the success at |
Can Miles have the success at Michigan without the oversigning and the overall bullshit SEC recruiting "methods" along with having to deal with an actual admissions standard that is not indicative of a community college? We'll never know at this point but I say no. |
| 1 year 29 weeks ago | This guy being booted |
This guy being booted potetionally takes away more bad press for osu in the future, something I'm completely against. Every time you think their trash "program" is in the clear, another Berry like story pops up. Keep it coming Columbus.(Looks for more popcorn) |

It's pronounced SHIT-hole, the shoe is actually shaped like a toilet, obviously, and is a literal shit hole. |
| 1 year 35 weeks ago | The precedent has already |
The precedent has already been set. Ohio claimed they educated the players and the NCAA bought it with not so much as a second thought. If a jersey gets sold, the AD says the players knew the rules, the player is suspended for a few games at the beginning of the next season(remember precedent), plays in the bowl game and as long as there is no paper trail 10 miles long, the player is reinstated for league play or before. |
| 1 year 36 weeks ago | I'll be very intersted to see |
I'll be very intersted to see what USC does this offseason. I'm guessing they sign a full class of recruits and dare the NCAA to do anything about it. Now Oregon is in the clear, UNC will take nothing more than what Ohio gets and the ball of shit will keep picking up speed. |

| 1 year 43 weeks ago | pretty telling really. the |
pretty telling really. the ncaa just green lighted a decade of cheating. they just set the bar (extremely low) for future "major" violations and now in essence, a few vacated wins makes up for any rule you don't wish to follow. I'll be very interested to see what USC's response is since they got hammered for "should have known" and osu is skirting by with more more on their plate. this ruling really sets the stage for the ncaa to disappear from college football relatively soon. |

they posted this on their blog and left the comments on, but capped them at 5000. it's a bloodbath in there with probably 90% or better canceling before the price hike. |
| 2 years 2 weeks ago | If tweasel is still employed |
If tweasel is still employed at the august hearing, ohio state is getting the hammer. there's a reason schools shit can lying cheating coaches before their meeting with the COI. So far the administration has blindly supported him and as far as we all know for now, he will still be the coach when the meeting occurs. I can't wait, this gets better every day. |

| 2 years 2 weeks ago | USC is not abiding by the |
USC is not abiding by the sanctions (somehow) until after the appeal is decided. it was a low key headline I read awhile back. they took a full recruiting class and kiffin was reportedly telling recruits that they will definitely win the appeal. I don't remember where I read it unfortunately so maybe I can look it up tonight. We all know they won't win the appeal and still owe all the scholarships sanctions back. |
| 2 years 3 weeks ago | it would be different if jim |
it would be different if jim tweasel wasn't a cheater with a long history but what has he won without cheating? which year did he actually have a good team that wasn't either caught for paying players or more accurately overlooked for that knowledge. if he survives and quite honestly I hope he does, it will be more than interesting to see him coach with no choice but to either run a clean program or run the program and his career into the ground. he no longer has the benefit of the doubt and has been branded a liar so any little hiccup even in the slightest from here out is going to be huge. anything they get at this point is substantially less than they deserve. |

yes, I was about to post the local area cincinnati article. http://www.wcpo.com/dpp/sports/chiefs%27-mike-vrabel-arrested-for-theft-at-ind.-casino when it rains, it pours. this whole ohio state episode is like a infinitely glorious trainwreck you just can't stop watching but for some reason you don't feel as bad about the victims as you feel you should. edit: I know this has nothing to do with current ohio state problems but still doesn't paint them in any better light. |
