The clone of Lincoln Riley.

Matt Campbell
Mike Leach
That's all I got.
Edit: Mike Leach is the obvious choice. He's making 2 stars over in Pullman WA score 50+ a game playing air raid offense with respectable defenses. He will never out-talent USC, Oregon or Washington in the Pac12. He will definitely come to Ann Arbor.
That is modern 2019 football. Also coached 2 QBs who are now starters in the NFL.

I'm completely fine with Matt Campbell.
September 21st, 2019 at 2:06 PM ^
Matt Campbell would be a home run. Look what he as done at Iowa State and now think about what he we do with the resources at UM. I can’t see UM ever hiring a Tressel tho, which is what Campbell would be. UM has to get past the RR ptsd and not insist on a Michigan Man.

I'm in favor of Campbell too. Need a young energetic guy to change the course of how this thing is going.

Is that random offensive guru from the mining college still alive?
September 21st, 2019 at 1:56 PM ^
Who's coaching on the other sidelines right exactly now? He's clearly an upgrade. I don't know what the hell happened to harbaugh, but he's neutered, our teams play ineptly, incoherently at times, and completely fall apart at the slightest provocation. These kids deserve better.
September 21st, 2019 at 2:05 PM ^
2016 OSU happened. I don't know if he got in trouble or what, but he's not been himself since. H used to have explosions on the sidelines that were both comedic and passionate. Since then, he's been this mild tempered person just here to do his job.

Lincoln riley.
September 21st, 2019 at 1:57 PM ^
Fuck it...go for Charles Woodson
September 21st, 2019 at 1:59 PM ^
They're not going to fire Harbaugh, even if this team goes 6-6 or 5-7, which seems likely.
Gattis is gone. This will be his only year at Michigan. And they're may be other coaching staff changes as well.
The Harbaugh era will end with some sort of mutual agreement to look for an NFL job, which I'm sure he could get based on his success with the 49ers. That may be coming in a couple years.
September 21st, 2019 at 2:00 PM ^
Fuck that. He needs to be gone this season. Only way he should be back is if they run the table, which is umm highly unlikely.
September 21st, 2019 at 2:05 PM ^
This is a realistic scenario. He will not be fired now, or at the end of the year. Manual won't do it...
September 21st, 2019 at 2:12 PM ^
If they dont fire him after 6-6 or 7-5 then they prove they don't really care about winning. OSU fired Cooper two years after an 11-1 season after going 6-6 and 8-4. Worked out pretty well for them.

Bronco Mendenhall.
September 21st, 2019 at 2:03 PM ^
This would be an interesting candidate - the only name I've seen so far that I think would actually work out at Michigan. UVA looks good, and so did BYU when he was there. Good choice...

Cant hurt to give Bob Stoops a call.

Chris Creighton EMU --- I'm done watching this S Show.
This is inexecusable with all the resources JH has. Time is up. Year 5.

Harbaugh to Cleveland and we'll take just about anyone else.

Les Miles.
September 21st, 2019 at 2:14 PM ^
I could support Les, even at his age, as long as he hires a good QB coach and a top notch OC.
Alternatively, fire Gattis and Brown. Hire Fisch as OC / Associate HC and get a different DC.
I don't know if Harbaugh is the problem, given how good we looked in 15 and 16, but something is broken.
September 21st, 2019 at 2:07 PM ^
Agreed. Sadly.

1. Brent Venables- D Coordinator at Clemson
2. Charles Woodson
September 21st, 2019 at 2:13 PM ^
Love Charles and his intensity but I’m not sure about that one.
Venables has done everything a DC could do at Clemson. Between his defense’s performance and recruiting ability, he could be a great option. Paying him a competitive salary shouldn’t be a problem either
September 21st, 2019 at 2:46 PM ^
Charles sees what’s wrong and can coach kids up to correct it. He is an alum and is well recognized and can salvage the recruiting class.

Matt Campbell
September 21st, 2019 at 2:09 PM ^
Who would want to coach a team of losers?
September 21st, 2019 at 2:15 PM ^
I don’t blame the players. These kids have come and gone and the only constant is Harbaugh.
September 21st, 2019 at 2:10 PM ^
It doesn't matter. Michigan is destined to be the program they are. All hype, no results.
September 21st, 2019 at 2:22 PM ^
Soft soft soft. Michigan’s defense.

Someone that can bring some intensity and toughness. On a side note - probably underestimated the importance of Mattison to the defense considering the fall off and OSUs improvement.
