Amauri Pesek-Hickson lands back on his feet, signs with Kansas.
I will leave out my opinions of how Michigan handled the situation, but I'm super happy for the young man that he was still able to get a power five scholarship on such short notice.

Keep an eye on Milton. Sounds like he and his mother are looking to sit down with the coaching staff soon to understand his future. Position change is not something the Milton camp would consider up to this point. However with Pep gone, JM is very confused and concerned.
Cheers

True freshman is upset with playing time...blah blah blah.
He has options.
Wait his turn, beat out the others, or leave.
February 6th, 2019 at 12:50 PM ^
It is amusing from an outsiders perspective how these things go sometimes (Justin Fields is a great example right now). When you commit, you see there are several scholarship QBs above you. Most of these guys say they aren't afraid of competition and aren't afraid of waiting their turn but then sometimes they come out of freshman year 3rd or 4th on the depth chart and it's *shocked Pikachu face* that they didn't beat everyone else out. I'm sure that even with all the positive quotes, most of these guys went through high school being the hot shot / greatest thing since sliced bread and secretly assumed they'd beat everyone on campus day 1

I called it from the beginning with Milton. He can see how good McCaffery is and when Shea’s time is up the coaching staff is gonna make Dylan the next great U of M QB. Milton hasn’t impressed me much anyway, he can throw the ball a long ways, great. His high school high light tape was him throwing fly routes down the field, and he had a sub 50% completion percentage. Sorry, but the writing was on the wall for him. Brandon Peters is better than him but everyone knows he wanted out so Harbaugh didn’t play him.

I strongly disagree with most of your post. However, we are each entitled to our own opinion. If he believes he is better than CM than he should stay. Cam Newton body types do not grow on trees, and both coach and PH have a great eye for qb prospects, and are great at developing them. I hope he stays on the team and pushes all the QB's in the room for years to come. He also broke a bunch of Francois' records in high school, and can do much more than throw the ball far.
Cheers

Friendly suggestion: Spell the names. It doesn't take that long. Took me more time to figure out who "PH" was than it did to read your post. And I still don't know who "CM" is.

The Carolina Panthers running back?
(This was actually exactly who I thought he meant, as a slip-up thinking of Dylan. I was so stuck on that I never thought of McNamara.)

Cade McNamara?

It would be interesting to see Charles Matthews at QB-he is very athletic!

No thanks - since they're all fade-aways, he'd miss the hand offs!!

Craig Monroe.

Yup. Thanks. Brainfart to miss Cade. And that's my point. Type Cade and Pep and I don't have to spend 5 minutes playing the acronym game.

Not sure what Paul Hogan and Charles Manson have to do with this—one was a flash-in-the-pan actor in the 80’s and the other is a dead manipulator of minds responsible for the deaths of several people.
February 6th, 2019 at 2:38 PM ^
And PH= Phil Hubbard, anyone should know that much, seeing that we're a basketball school!
Duh...
February 6th, 2019 at 3:31 PM ^
Personally I like it. Adds a bit of mystery. I'd absolutely hate if everyone did it, but he was first and it's his niche. I'm a fan.

Please stop doing this. Your posting history is littered with fabrications or outright lies. You aren't reliable and I really can't believe you have an audience.

Hope you're talking to ghost and not me, I only give my opinions, don't claim to have any facts on the situation.

Can he twirl a baton like Basketball Hall of Famer Calvin ("CM") Murphy?
February 6th, 2019 at 12:19 PM ^
"PH"? Prentice Hall? Patrick Henry? Paul Harvey? Pete Hamill? Phil Hartman? Paul Hewson (a.k.a. Bono)? Priest Holmes? Peyton Hillis? Percy Harvin? Prince Harry?

I hope you're right, but have you seen Milton's high school tape? It is not very impressive...at least not in comparison to his hype / ranking. Many of his throws are just heaving it up to his WR who ended up signing D1 too.
I hope Milton succeeds at Michigan. It would be amazing to have a capable QB with a body like JM. I just think that Milton was such a freak athletically and arm strength wise that they believed he would grow into a QB at Michigan. I hope he does.

How tf am I an obvious troll? I don’t think a project QB will work out? Go come up with your own opinion and let’s have a discussion.

Joe seems like a cool guy, but when I read "camp" I think "high-maintenance family and hangers-on."
February 7th, 2019 at 4:45 AM ^
But the term “camp” did not come from Milton or his family; it came from the author of the post, who could have easily used “family” or even “inner circle” to describe him and his mother discussing his future with the staff. Word choices matter — even the subtle ones can create bias.
February 6th, 2019 at 11:28 AM ^
What does Pep being gone have to do with Milton and his camp being "confused"? He's always been a player with great potential, but would take time to develop. Is he really expecting to play right away at the hardest position in all of sports for a major college program?
February 6th, 2019 at 11:33 AM ^
I believe Pep was the one that found him and pushed for Harbaugh to take him.
February 6th, 2019 at 2:19 PM ^
Yes Pep recruited Milton and is his biggest fan in the world. Calling him the next Cam Newton. It's understandable that a player is a little concerned when his position coach and biggest advocate leaves (perhaps suddenly from his standpoint). I kind of expect this to blow over, Harbaugh will reassure him that he can be a starter one day if he keeps working. I mean Harbaugh let him play in the OSU and bowl games, he obviously sees him as part of the future.
February 6th, 2019 at 11:37 AM ^
Milton has already played more than he should have. He's a project QB and I'm not sure why everyone is so enamored with him.
February 6th, 2019 at 11:44 AM ^
Chicks dig the long ball.
February 6th, 2019 at 12:17 PM ^
Because I think he has the potential to be a great QB. Kid has a cannon and an obvious eye for identifying his blocks in the run game. Would really like to see this kid become something great. If he doesn’t, I’m not going to lose sleep over it. But that’s why I’m enamored with him.
February 6th, 2019 at 12:30 PM ^
Everyone would like him to be great. Everyone agrees he has some potentially. The disagreement is around what he has, besides potential.
I’d contend he has nothing besides potential. Additionally, there’s nothing I’ve seen to suggest that his potential surpasses any other unproven QB in the country who has a big arm.
He’s a project with some upside. He’s at least as likely to boom as bust - that’s why he was supposed to be the lower ranked second QB in his class. He’s very far from the blue chip QB that some like to pretend that he is.
February 6th, 2019 at 4:03 PM ^
He’s as raw a passer as DRob wasps s freshman. As talented as Denard was a runner, he did not develop much as a passer (different coaches, yes). Milton is not a runner, so he better develop or he will never have the chance to play like Denard did thanks to the RichRod offense. He’s got good coaches left, so where else would he develop more—he should ask that.
February 6th, 2019 at 11:50 AM ^
Where did you hear these "sounds"?
February 6th, 2019 at 11:51 AM ^
i love how "experts" just shoot comments out their ass, with no first hand knowledge of what they are talking about. and if you get offended tell everybody when you had this conversation with joe and his mother.
February 6th, 2019 at 12:29 PM ^
I root for JM. Everything I've heard is he has outstanding character and works hard. I just don't see how a kid who couldn't complete 50% of his passes in high school (while throwing to a D1 WR on his team) was ever gonna see the field at Michigan. Amazing specimen of an athlete, but I don't see him ever getting on the field as a starter at Michigan.
February 6th, 2019 at 2:38 PM ^
Milton is a unique talent and I believe he has a bright future at Michigan. I think the new offense will benefit him as much as anyone. Not sure what's going on behind the scenes, but I don't understand this one at all. Patterson is back for a year, then the QB job is completely up for grabs in 2020. McCaffrey, Milton, and McNamara should all have a chance.
I hope Milton stays. I believe he could be a great one.
February 7th, 2019 at 10:56 AM ^
Yeah, this is one to watch. We'll see where he ends up after spring practice.
February 6th, 2019 at 10:09 AM ^
Your not saying it , but Michigan could have done a lot of damage for recruits in the future , a commit is a commit
February 6th, 2019 at 10:12 AM ^
I doubt this. Big programs do this all the time, we just don’t always hear about it. Winning fixes all of this. If you want to play like the big boys, this stuff needs to be done. Let’s stop romanticizing college sports. Without Michigan initially offering him, he probably doesn’t get a scholarship from Kansas. It is what it is fam.
February 6th, 2019 at 10:13 AM ^
Yes, look how the Swenson situation cratered Michigan's recruiting.
No one cares beyond a couple days of trying to make themselves feel like a good person online.
February 6th, 2019 at 10:20 AM ^
Yeah, poor Erik Swenson had to deal with the travesty of playing for lowly Oklahoma...
February 6th, 2019 at 10:27 AM ^
Same with this kid, before UM he was planning on going to Missouri St. At least he is at P5 program now and the UM offer probably had something to do with that.
February 6th, 2019 at 10:40 AM ^
Magnus - you are so cynical.
