Great players!!!!
I always wondered what they did after they graduated.
January 3rd, 2019 at 10:06 PM ^
Both deserving
January 3rd, 2019 at 10:07 PM ^
Yes on both
January 3rd, 2019 at 10:16 PM ^
Two great Michigan Men. Hope they both are inducted!!
January 3rd, 2019 at 10:19 PM ^
Great college and pro careers.
January 3rd, 2019 at 10:32 PM ^
Both should have zero problem getting inducted - they deserve it! Congrats to both!!
January 3rd, 2019 at 10:43 PM ^
Hutch should get in this year no problem. Law should get in soon
January 3rd, 2019 at 11:19 PM ^
Hutchinson for sure.
Law, I'm not so sure.
Ed Reed and Tony Gonzalez are locks. Isaac Bruce might make it. That might be all though.

The NFL HoF usually puts in a bunch of guys each year. Your four would be a very light class, but would be large compared to a lot of MLB classes.
January 4th, 2019 at 12:47 PM ^
HOF classes are 4-8 each year.
January 4th, 2019 at 2:24 PM ^
Forgot about Boselli. He's in roo.
January 3rd, 2019 at 11:29 PM ^
Both are deserving. Not sure if outside the Michigan community Ty stands out, but was a very good pro player.
January 5th, 2019 at 12:19 AM ^
He was a 5 time Pro Bowler, 2 time All Pro, led the league in interceptions twice, and made an all decade first team. Already in the Patriots HOF.
Definitely a stand out player. I think he gets in. 53 picks, 5 sacks, 7 touchdowns.
Deion Sanders had 53 picks, 10 defensive tds, 1 sack for comparison sake.
Charles Woodson 65 picks, 13 tds, 20 sacks 33 forced fumbles
Rod Woodson 71 picks 17 tds 13.5 sacks 1 ff
I think he might have to wait for Ed Reed, Or Champ Bailey to slide in first, but i think he makes it in relatively soon.

Don't forget Charles Woodson!
January 4th, 2019 at 7:13 AM ^
Think he has a shot???????????????????? Like Brady, when Woodson's name is up, discussion will last about a second!!!
January 4th, 2019 at 1:13 AM ^
The 90s players, recruited by Bo (89-90), Gary Moeller and Lloyd was the finest talent ever assembled in a single decade in Michigan football history.
January 4th, 2019 at 5:12 AM ^
Definitely, positively, gotta be, for sure shoe ins
January 4th, 2019 at 6:32 AM ^
Haters who don’t want Ty in will be like.... “I fought the Law and the Law won”. It’s just the way it is.
January 4th, 2019 at 7:10 AM ^
I'd go "Yes" on both. Always nice to see Wolverines up for such honors.
January 4th, 2019 at 7:23 AM ^
You mean the Ty Law who volleyed the ball to Westbrook, insuring the decline of Michigan football?
January 4th, 2019 at 9:37 AM ^
I can't tell if you're serious about "decline of Michigan football" (given that we won a NC three years later) but putting the blame for that play on Law—who was in a scrum of four people at the goal line, all jumping for the ball—is horseshit.
If you want to assign blame, put it on defensive coordinator Lloyd Carr for only rushing 3 and having slow-footed LB Steve Morrison on the field, who added literally nothing to Michigan's defense on that play.
January 4th, 2019 at 12:35 PM ^
It's my mix of satire and disillusionment about the play.
January 4th, 2019 at 10:04 AM ^
i was at that game... wasn't the cause of the decline... i cant believe i even responded to that stupidity.
also saw Law and Woodson play live each year... I have always maintained here, look it up, that Law was the superior pure CB to Woodson... and the best ever to play at M. Before you get your panties in a bunch, Woodson was obviously the better all around player.
January 4th, 2019 at 12:30 PM ^
I was there also. CU should never have got the ball back. Finish the game with the ball....No hail Mary!!!
January 4th, 2019 at 1:13 PM ^
Michigan's offense went into a complete turtle shell during its last 2 or 3 possessions—it was obvious they were scared to run anything other than a completely "safe" running play and got stopped easily, giving Colorado the time for the hail mary. One more first down, and we clinch the game. That's on Moeller.
January 4th, 2019 at 10:22 AM ^
Chuck Winters was the one who helped knock the ball up.
January 4th, 2019 at 7:56 AM ^
Great players at Michigan they were. But if they get in, certainly Rick Leach deserves it as well. I can't fathom how he hasn't been inducted yet.
January 4th, 2019 at 8:54 AM ^
Think this refers to NFL HOF not college.
January 4th, 2019 at 8:17 AM ^
The fact that Ty Law isn't a HOFer already is a travesty. Best cornerback of his era, so dominant that they instituted a rules change after a whiny Peyton Manning complained about physical defensive backs. Made big play after big play to help the Patriots win those first three titles. Obviously, I have a great deal of affection for him as he is my favorite Patriot of all time, but he has the numbers, he has the big plays, he should be in.
January 4th, 2019 at 9:30 AM ^
Exactly this. He's my favorite Pat of all time as well. I became a Pats fan when they drafted him.
This should be his HOF bust:
January 4th, 2019 at 11:08 AM ^
I would never vote against Hutch on anything. He would eat me.
January 4th, 2019 at 12:35 PM ^
Hutch was a beast. Came to UM as a DT, switched to OL. The rest is history. HOF'er for sure!!
January 4th, 2019 at 12:34 PM ^
Part of the existential fuckery of the 20-year losing streak to OSU is that to be considered a truly great Michigan player (or coach), you have to have beaten Ohio State. It may be unfair, but that's the reality. Henne might have had a great arm, but give me a QB that was able to beat our rival, not go 0-4. Ten and 3 is a nice record, but if it always includes a loss to Ohio State, then it will forever lack the mark of a truly great team. The last great Michigan QB (whose excellent play helped beat OSU) is Tom Brady, whose long pro career is nearly over. Following the team in the '70s-2000 there were consistent heroes: Leach & Huckleby; Harbaugh to Kolesar; Desmond and the punt return; and Woodson, whose transcendent performance delivered a win over OSU and a National Championship. To find the last of the true greats, we have to go all the way back to Brady and Woodson--the heroic age--and that is a damn shame.
January 4th, 2019 at 3:06 PM ^
Does anyone on here know if the relationship between Ty Law and Michigan was ever repaired? Or still bad?
January 4th, 2019 at 11:28 PM ^
These are great players who have paved the way... many, many, many years ago.
Who’s paving the way NOW?
Who’s filling trophy cases NOW?
15 without a conference championship is too long. Get it done. NOW.
