Minnesota is up 6 on OSU

After taking MSU to OT in Breslin. Talented team that just needs a signature win. Glad we were able to take one from them at the Barn.

Jinxes TOTALLY exist guys.

Nope OSU lost. Coach hasn't been on Amir's dick enough.
January 16th, 2014 at 10:53 PM ^
Oh brother. If Minny holds on and wins this might the first time one of these "hey guys...something awesome is about to happen" threads actually turned out ok. Seems like they ALWAYS end badly for some reason.

I've been hesitant to give Minny too much credit (maybe it's their punchable coach) but they may just be legit.
BTW, what exactly is the purpose of the raised floor? Is it for sightlines?
January 16th, 2014 at 10:58 PM ^
I'm going to -1 you if ohio comes back to win.
January 16th, 2014 at 10:59 PM ^
No easy road wins in the B1G
January 16th, 2014 at 11:00 PM ^
Ohio is dropping like a rock. Also what does it say about us compared to MSU if they went to OT against these two teams and we beat Minnesota in regulation without McGary and Robinson iii?
January 16th, 2014 at 11:01 PM ^
January 16th, 2014 at 11:01 PM ^
It says that we have a really good team, even without McGary.

If you could not use the transitive property...yeahhhh that'd be great.
January 16th, 2014 at 11:13 PM ^
I'm not endorsing the transitive property, but this game showed that Minnesota is really good. They looked really good.
We beat this really good team. That strengthens my belief that we are also a really good team.
January 16th, 2014 at 11:16 PM ^
I was actually talking about ThadMattasaGoblin
January 16th, 2014 at 11:24 PM ^
Transitive property doesn't work. But this does elevate our Minnesota win.

January 16th, 2014 at 11:00 PM ^
This would be nice for us if Minnesota could pull this off. Makes our win there look better. Plus, we get them at home too. Chance for a sweep.

No Problem

Ohio State was a top 5 team a week ago
January 16th, 2014 at 11:03 PM ^
ESPN says Minnesota is up 14 with 1 minute left ... sound right?
January 16th, 2014 at 11:03 PM ^
Ohio just plain isn't very good offensively. It sucks that we don't get to play them at home, but the trip to Columbus isn't unwinnable.
January 16th, 2014 at 11:04 PM ^
Remember this gentleman: when we are all old, telling our children and grandchildren of days past, we can proudly say "we lived in the era of Aaron Craft."

We won't have to tell our children or our grandchildren about the great Aaron Craft. I'm sure he'll still be playing as a 36th year Redshirt Senior or something and they can judge for themselves.
January 16th, 2014 at 11:25 PM ^
Usually an upvote is good enough, but in this case I have to respond. Absolutely well done sir. I'm dieing laughing. Thank you.

I'm going to name children after him, just because of his grit and hustle.
He should be remembered as the only player to ever play hard in basketball. The first in history, and surely never to be repeated. He is a true hero.
January 16th, 2014 at 11:17 PM ^
If I have a firstborn boy, I'll name him Aaron Craft. If it's a girl, I'll name her Erin Kraft. Any additional child I bring into this earth shall bear the name of Aaron Craft's greatest of traits, beginning with "Grit," "Hustle," "Determination," "Defense," and my youngest, "Handcheck."

at least her teenaged suitors will be forewarned.

January 16th, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^
Ahhh yes "grit & hustle". Media euphemism for "white basketball player". Sort of like the old "Athletic or Dual Threat Quarterback" thing in reverse if you will.
January 16th, 2014 at 11:21 PM ^
Yep. What was Novak known for? Grit and hustle.
Also, for white quarterbacks you can't forget about "underrated athlete". Anytime some white QB scrambles for >3 yards it has to be mentioned.

" Great game manager" - White QB with noodle arm who can't run
January 16th, 2014 at 11:54 PM ^
January 16th, 2014 at 11:40 PM ^
But to be fair - Novak really deserved that reputation. Dude was a 6'4" PF who had to work his ass off not to get pushed around in the post every night. And honestly, Craft deserves it too - he's a pest defensively.
Now to be sure, there are plenty of white guys who automatically get labeled "gym rats" or "coach's dreams" with no justification, but these two legitimately fulfill the stereotype.
